    Deep Learning Framework for Arabic Course in Higher Education

    This study explores the application of Deep Learning frameworks in Arabic language courses in higher education, focusing on four key dimensions: pedagogical practices, learning partnerships, learning environments, and digital utilization. Each framework serves as a critical pillar in addressing challenges and enhancing the effectiveness of Arabic language teaching, which is characterized by its linguistic and cultural complexities. The study highlights the need for innovative pedagogical approaches emphasizing conceptual understanding and practical application, collaborative partnerships among students, faculty, and communities, and supportive and inclusive learning environments. Moreover, integrating digital tools and resources is presented as a transformative strategy to create interactive and adaptive learning experiences. By examining these four frameworks, this article provides insights into designing a holistic, student-centered, and technologically enhanced learning process for Arabic language education. The findings underscore the importance of integrating these frameworks to produce graduates with comprehensive linguistic proficiency and critical thinking skills capable of engaging in global and multicultural contexts

    Strengthening Arabic Language Learning Through Language Environment: A Case Study in Pesantren Riau

    A critical gap exists between the theoretical importance of Arabic language environments in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and their practical implementation effectiveness. While previous research has identified various obstacles in Arabic language learning, comprehensive analysis of implementation conditions and systemic challenges in Riau Province remains underexplored. This study addresses this gap by examining Arabic language environment implementation conditions in 12 pesantren in Riau Province using qualitative exploratory case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with pesantren leaders, participant observation, and document analysis. Thematic analysis with triangulation was used for data analysis. Findings reveal a significant gap between policy and practice: 58.3% of pesantren have formal regulations but only 33.3% require full Arabic communication. Main challenges include Santri psychological factors (58.3% shyness/lack of confidence), limited competent teachers (50%), and inadequate facilities (41.7% have no supporting facilities, 0% have language laboratories). Program effectiveness is low (58.3% rate as less effective) with traditional approaches dominating (66.7% daily vocabulary memorization). However, 100% of leaders support the program and 66.7% of Santri are religiously motivated. The study recommends a holistic implementation model integrating five components: strengthening regulations, improving human resources, developing facilities, implementing communicative programs, and establishing evaluation systems. This research contributes to theoretical understanding of language environment implementation and provides practical recommendations for strengthening Arabic language programs in pesantren

    Exploring writing anxiety in analytical exposition text: A gender-based study of Indonesian high school EFL learners

    Students often experience writing anxiety due to limited knowledge and skills in completing writing tasks. Although widely studied, little research has addressed writing anxiety in composing analytical exposition texts among high school students. This study investigated the students’ levels, types, and causes of writing anxiety across gender. It was conducted at one public school in Malang City, Indonesia, and involved 114 eleventh graders. Data were collected using the Second Language Writing Anxiety Inventory (SLWAI) and the Causes of Writing Anxiety Inventory (CWAI). Data were analyzed by using descriptive quantitative analysis and inferential statistics. Findings revealed moderate to high anxiety levels in both gender. Female students’ average score (49.78) was slightly higher than male students (45.79). Statistical difference was found in levels of anxiety across gender. Furthermore, female and male students faced cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety, and avoidance behavior. Somatic anxiety was at moderate to low levels; however, both groups experienced moderate to high cognitive anxiety and avoidance behavior. Meanwhile, female and male students suffered from anxiety due to linguistic difficulties, fear of evaluation, and insufficient writing practice. These results underscore the need for explicit instruction on linguistic features, constructive feedback, and regular writing practice to reduce students’ anxiety

    Teras philosophy, known as Stoicism, is one of the ancient Greek philosophical schools that emphasizes wisdom, self-control, and acceptance of the reality of life. In modern life full of challenges and uncertainties, the principles of Stoicism offer practical guidance to achieve inner peace and mental resilience. This article aims to examine the basic concepts of Stoicism and their relevance in dealing with the dynamics of life today, and relate them to Islamic education. Stoicism teaches the importance of distinguishing between things we can control and those we cannot, and focuses on developing virtues as the core of a meaningful life. In the context of Islamic education, Stoicism\u27s values of wisdom, patience, and self-control can be integrated to strengthen students\u27 character, morals, and spiritual resilience. This research uses a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach by reviewing literature from various sources, including Stoic texts and Islamic literature, to analyze the similarity of their basic principles. Thus, this article not only provides insights into the application of Stoicism in daily life, but also proposes the potential integration of Stoic values in Islamic education to form individuals who are wiser and more resilient to the pressures of life

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Scratch Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Akidah Akhlak

    Learning Aqidah Akhlak in Islamic Junior High Schools still faces challenges in facilitating the understanding of abstract concepts of faith and the internalization of moral values ​​​​in a meaningful way. Learning dominated by conventional methods tends to involve students less actively and has an impact on low learning outcomes. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of Scratch-based learning media in improving the learning outcomes of Aqidah Akhlak students in Islamic Junior High Schools. The study used a research and development method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 20 students of class IX-B MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, student response questionnaires, and expert validation, then analyzed using normalized gain (N-gain) and descriptive statistics. The results showed that the use of Scratch media effectively improved student learning outcomes with an N-gain value of 0.68 (moderate category) and obtained positive responses of more than 80% in the aspects of interest, ease of understanding, and learning motivation. These findings demonstrate that Scratch contributes instructionally through visualization, interactivity, and feedback that support meaningful learning. This research provides a scientific contribution to the development of instructional design-based digital learning media for Aqidah Akhlak learning that is adaptive to the characteristics of learners in the digital era.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Scratch untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak kelas IX di MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya minat dan hasil belajar siswa karena media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih konvensional dan kurang menarik. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 siswa kelas IX-B. Uji efektivitas melalui pre-test dan post-test memperoleh nilai N-gain sebesar 0,68 dengan kategori sedang, yang berarti media efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar. Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan media Scratch juga sangat positif, dengan lebih dari 80% menyatakan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik, mudah dipahami, dan memotivasi mereka untuk belajar. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis Scratch terbukti layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak karena mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar sekaligus menumbuhkan nilai-nilai akhlak dan motivasi belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran interaktif

    Ketahanan keluarga pasca covid-19 menyebabkan perubahan pada keluarga. Sehingga keluarga harus tetap bertahan dengan permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada. Ketahanan keluarga merupakan kemampuan setiap keluarga dalam menghadapi kesulitan kemudian beradaptasi dengan perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi dan mampu bangkit kembali, bahkan menjadi lebih kuat. Pasca covid-19 menyebabkan berbagai macam rintangan yang harus dihadapi oleh keluarga. Rintangan tersebut seperti krisis ekonomi atau pun usaha yang bangkrut. Tetapi setelah pasca covid-19 keluarga menjadi lebih memperhatikan lingkungan dan kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif karena permasalahan yang diteliti cukup komplek dan dinamis sehingga data yang diperoleh narasumber dijaring dengan metode yang lebih alamiah yakni wawancara secara langsung dengan narasumber untuk mendapat jawaban yang alamiah juga, serta observasi dan dokumentasi. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini yaitu satu keluarga. Berdasarkan hasil temuan lapangan bahwa ketahanan keluarga pasca covid pada keluarga di jalan Dr. Murjani gang Giat kecamatan Pahandut Kota Palangka Raya meliputi krisis ekonomi serta usaha yang bangkrut. Faktor penyebabnya ialah covid-19, sehingga setelah covid-19 usaha menjadi sepi.Ketahanan keluarga pasca covid-19 menyebabkan perubahan pada keluarga.     Pengaruh Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup Terhadap Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Siswa di SD Nasional KPS Balikpapan

    Environmental degradation continues to escalate globally, underscoring the urgent need to enhance environmental education from the earliest stages of schooling. This study aims to examine the influence of Environmental Education (Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup: PLH) on the environmental care attitudes of fifth-grade students at SD Nasional KPS Balikpapan. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 30 students selected through a total sampling approach. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used and validated prior to analysis, employing simple linear regression. The results indicate that PLH has a positive yet statistically insignificant influence on students\u27 environmental care attitudes (β = 0.234; p = 0.086). The R² value of 0.102 shows that PLH contributes only 10.2% to the variance in environmental care attitudes. In contrast, the remaining 89.8% is influenced by other factors such as school culture, family environment, and peer interactions. These findings suggest that PLH at the elementary level must be strengthened through more holistic, experiential, and contextually integrated approaches that support the development of environmentally responsible behavior.Abstrak Kerusakan lingkungan hidup semakin hari menunjukkan tren yang mengkhawatirkan. Berbagai permasalahan seperti pencemaran udara, air, tanah, dan perubahan iklim menjadi ancaman nyata bagi kehidupan manusia dan makhluk hidup. Salah satu penyebab utama dari memburuknya kondisi lingkungan adalah kurangnya kesadaran dan kepedulian terhadap pentingnya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Di tengah tantangan tersebut, pendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran dan sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan sejak dini. Pendidikan merupakan wahana yang paling tepat dalam memberikan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap tentang kepedulian lingkungan kepada manusia. Pendidikan lingkungan hidup (PLH) menjadi sarana penting untuk memberikan pengetahuan, membentuk sikap, serta mengarahkan perilaku siswa agar lebih peduli terhadap keberlanjutan alam sekitarnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup terhadap Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Siswa kelas 5 di SD Nasional KPS Balikpapan sebanyak 30 orang, adalah sebesar 10,2% sedangkan 89,8% Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Siswa dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang lain. Dengan kata lain, kontribusi variabel X [Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup] terhadap variabel Y [Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Siswa] hanya sebatas sebagian kecil namun temuan ini tetap memiliki signifikansi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup yang terstruktur di sekolah secara nyata memberikan pengaruh positif dan terukur terhadap pembentukan Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Siswa. Nilai ini menjadi dasar bahwa intervensi melalui pendidikan formal merupakan salah satu jalur penting yang tidak bisa diabaikan dalam upaya menumbuhkan kepedulian lingkungan pada generasi muda. Sementara sisanya yaitu sebesar 89,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pendidikan lingkungan hidup penting, namun belum cukup kuat untuk secara signifikan membentuk sikap peduli lingkungan siswa secara menyeluruh.     Using Wall Charts to Enhance Early Reading Skills among First Grade Students

    This research aimed to improve students\u27 reading skills using Wallchart learning media, designed through Classroom Action Research (CAR), based on the Kemmis & Taggart model. This Classroom Action Research aimed to provide innovative actions and solutions to obstacles encountered in the learning process. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 086 Dalam Lidang, Panyabungan District, Mandaling Natal Regency, with a total population of 24 first-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation and reading skill tests. The results showed increased reading skills, as evidenced by the number of students who completed the reading program reaching 63.90% in Cycle 1 and 82.65% in Cycle 2. Wall Chart: Representing complex information with a very realistic, simple, and attractive visual design, it can be used as an independent learning tool that can be seen anytime because it is mounted on a wall or in any particular corner.     Maslahah-Based Protection of Fund Recipients in Fintech Lending Through Empowerment and Justice

    The rapid growth of fintech lending in Indonesia requires adequate regulation and protection for consumers, especially fund recipients, who face high risks such as intimidation and sexual harassment, high-interest charges, and misuse of personal data by fintech lending platforms. For this reason, protecting fund recipients is a primary need because it involves protecting life and property, which is integral to the benefit of maqashid sharia. The main objective of this research was to detail the concepts of empowerment and justice as pillars of protection for fund recipients in fintech lending from a maslahah perspective. The research used normative juridical methods with statutory and conceptual approaches and analyzed secondary data from document studies in a descriptive qualitative. The results showed that empowerment and protection of fund recipients in fair fintech lending align with the principle of maslahah, contribute positively to the welfare of society, and support the growth of a sustainable fintech lending industry ecosystem, and offering hope for a better future
