    Reconstructing Waqf Share Policies: A Maqashid Sharia Approach with Insights from Indonesia

    Waqf shares have great potential in supporting social justice, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. However, existing regulations have not been able to fully address the complexity of this instrument. This research analysed and reconstructed the policy of waqf shares in Indonesia through the maqashid sharia approach based on Jasser Auda\u27s system theory. Using qualitative methods through document study and policy analysis, this study examined the compatibility of waqf share policies with the main objectives of sharia, the protection of religion, soul, mind, offspring, and property. The results showed the need for policy reconstruction to establish a waqf share ecosystem that is inclusive and adaptive to modern economic dynamics. Recommendations include strengthening regulations, innovating Islamic financial instruments, and synergising between the government, financial institutions, and religious authorities.     Negotiating Legal Pluralism: Syncretism of Islamic Law and Balinese Adat in Pegayaman Village

    Pegayaman, the sole Muslim village in Bali surrounded by Hindu communities, offers a unique context for exploring the interaction between Islamic law and local Hindu cultural traditions. The study examined how Islamic law is negotiated and practiced in the context of Hindu cultural dominance. Using an empirical legal research framework with a socio-legal approach, data were collected through field observations and in-depth interviews with Muslim traditional leaders, religious figures, residents, and migrants. The findings indicated that syncretic practices in Pegayaman do not undermine the Islamic creed (‘aqidah) but rather reflect a process of internalizing and negotiating Islamic values within the local cultural context. Rooted in the base meme philosophy emphasizing cultural heritage, tolerance, and social harmony, these practices manifested in religious celebrations and social rituals. From an Islamic legal perspective, such adaptations may be regarded as ‘urf sahih provided they do not conflict with Sharia principles. Thus, the study highlighted the significance of contextualizing Islamic law in pluralistic societies, demonstrating that cultural accommodation need not imply theological compromise

    The phenomenon of mystery box trading on e-commerce platforms, such as Shopee, presents a paradox in the digital economy. On the one hand, it offers a thrill and appeal to consumers through an element of uncertainty. Still, on the other hand, it raises serious issues regarding the legal validity and ethics of transactions. The ambiguity of the object, the potential for loss, and exploitation through the mechanism of uncertainty require critical study within the realm of Islamic economic law. This study aims to analyze the conformity of mystery box trading practices with Islamic legal and ethical principles. This study uses a normative juridical method with a conceptual and normative-interpretive approach, grounded in the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah). Data were obtained through literature and documentation studies. The results show that mystery box transactions do not meet the requirements for a valid salam contract because the object of the goods is not described in detail, thus containing the prohibited gharar katsîr. From an ethical perspective, this practice contradicts the principles of justice, transparency, and consumer protection in Islamic transactions. The conclusion of this study is that mystery box trading is inconsistent with the legal and ethical principles of Islamic economics. Moreover, it is inappropriate for practice in Sharia-based transactions. And, this practice should be avoided to protect consumers and maintain the integrity of the Islamic digital market

    The digital age continues to advance quickly, and because of that, people need to deal with many situations that contain moral value problems that have never happened before. Due to the unlimited use of social media and technology, human interactions, communication, and business practices are changing, the change creating a new environment that often needs to make a different moral position. The moral value mentioned earlier, like amanah (responsibility), sidq (honesty), and adab (ethics), among other moral principles provided in the Qur\u27an, needs further attention in this circumstance digital era as the foundation of both individual and group daily behavior. In a digital world that is always evolving, the question of how to apply these ideas effectively emerges. With the help of responsible technology principles, this essay seeks to investigate how the values of amanah, sidq, and adab might be applied in a digital setting. The research\u27s primary goal is to demonstrate how the lesson from the Qur\u27an can give practical solutions who can adapt to daily life to encounter moral challenges in the digital age and also strengthen the integrity of individuals and society especially the younger generation. This research\u27s methodology consists of a literature review that discusses character development in the digital age as well as a thematic analysis of Qur\u27anic verses that contain moral values like amanah, sidq, and adab. According to preliminary research, applying the teachings of the Qur\u27an, especially in the areas of amanah, sidq, and adab can improve a person\u27s moral integrity. Then, keeping morals and responsible individuals in the digital environment can have a positive effect on society. In conclusion, the application of these teachings from the Qur\u27an can provide a solid moral foundation for overcoming the difficulties presented by digital technologyDalam era digital yang dipenuhi dengan tantangan moral dan etika, ajaran Al-Qur\u27an tetap menjadi panduan yang relevan dalam membentuk karakter Islami.     This bibliometric review aims to analyze the role of Islamic leadership and the Islamic worldview in restoring the economic prosperity of nations, particularly in countries with a predominantly Muslim population. The methodology involved a bibliometric approach, utilizing data from various sources, which were analyzed using the R Biblioshiny software. The analysis covered citation patterns, co-citation networks, and keyword analysis to identify trends, research gaps, and future directions in studies related to Islamic leadership and economic performance. The findings revealed 124 relevant documents, most of which were journal articles, indicating significant academic interest in this area. Key themes identified included Islamic leadership, worldview, and economic development. These publications originated from leading journals and prominent Islamic leadership and economics scholars. This review provided insights into academic contributions and studies\u27 evolution by examining publication trends, citation patterns, and researcher collaboration networks. This review will serve as a foundation for future research exploring the relationship between Islamic leadership and economic prosperity

    The Influence of Audio Visual Based Learning in Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Elementary Schools

    Audio-visual-based learning has become the object of discourse, especially those that focus on discussing development, utilization, and application in the learning process, so discourse regarding the influence of audio-visual-based learning in improving student learning outcomes tends to be neglected in scientific discussions. In line with this, this study focuses on "How is the influence of audio-visual based learning in improving student learning outcomes". This study uses a quantitative approach by conducting observations and test-based testing on teachers and students. The test was carried out twice before and after audio-visual-based learning was implemented. The test results are used to determine student learning outcomes, so that it can be seen whether there is an influence in the implementation of audio-visual based learning. The findings in this study show that the application of audio-visual based learning not only increases teacher activity in the learning process by 92.64% but is also able to increase student learning outcomes by 82.35%. Audio-visual based learning has been proven to be an effective method that improves student learning outcomes

    The Role of Family in the Understanding of Islamic Religion Among Students in The Al Falah Tangkahen Junior High School Environment

    This research aims to explore the role of the family in students\u27 understanding of Islam at Al Falah Tangkahen Middle School and identify the obstacles faced by families in educating children about religion. The method used was interviews with parents and teachers, which revealed that the family serves as an important basis for religious education, where activities such as reading the Koran, discussing religious themes, and celebrating Islamic holidays contribute significantly to understanding. student\u27s religion. However, this research also found several obstacles, such as limited parental time, negative influences from the external environment, and inaccurate information on social media, which can interfere with the religious education process at home. The research results show the importance of collaboration between families and schools to overcome these obstacles and strengthen students\u27 understanding of the Islamic religion. By increasing parental involvement and support from schools, it is hoped that students\u27 understanding of religion can develop optimally

    Islamic teachings in the Quran encourage every human being to think critically in their daily activities because humans are created by Allah as perfect beings. The purpose of this study is to explore the term Ulul Albab, examine the meaning of Ulul Albab, and explore the concept of Ulul Albab as critical thinking behavior from the perspective of the Quran. This research method uses a literature study method sourced from the Quran and its Tafsir as primary data, with books and scientific articles as secondary data. The results of this study are: (1) the phrase Ulul Albab appears 16 times in the Qur\u27an in 16 verses and 11 surahs, (2) the 16 verses containing the phrase Ulul Albab have different meanings, which can be broadly divided into two categories, namely the meaning of humans who have the intellect to remember and think, (3) Ulul Albab thinks critically in Q.S Ali Imran verse 190, where every human being must think critically about Allah\u27s creation with their rational abilities, Q.S, Az-Zumar verse 18 thinks critically by scientifically examining arguments and accepting arguments as facts. This research contributes to the discussion of the concept of Ulul Albab with a focus on humans thinking critically about events created by Allah SWT. In addition, humans should avoid blind taqlid in seeking knowledge and should be able to think scientifically in their daily lives

    This study aims to analyze the concept of educational quality control in Islamic schools outside the Ministry of Education and Culture (non-Kemendikbud) by integrating spirituality and professionalism as foundational pillars. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical library research design, this study examines academic books, peer-reviewed journal articles, policy documents, and relevant previous studies related to quality management and Islamic education. The findings indicate that effective quality control in Islamic non-Kemendikbud schools is achieved through the integration of Islamic spirituality manifested in values such as sincerity (ikhlāṣ), trustworthiness (amānah), and moral responsibility with teacher professionalism encompassing pedagogical, social, and managerial competencies. This integration fosters a quality assurance system characterized by ethical commitment, participatory culture, and continuous improvement. Pedagogically, the model emphasizes the alignment of moral values with professional standards, ensuring that quality enhancement extends beyond academic achievement to encompass character formation and institutional integrity. This study contributes theoretically by offering a conceptual framework for spirituality based quality control and practically by providing a relevant paradigm for strengthening the governance and competitiveness of contemporary Islamic educational institutions.Pengendalian mutu pendidikan merupakan aspek fundamental dalam menjaga keberlangsungan dan daya saing lembaga pendidikan Islam, terutama di luar naungan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (non-Kemendikbud). Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji konsep tentang bagaimana pengendalian mutu pendidikan dapat dijalankan dengan memadukan spiritualitas dan profesionalisme di sekolah-sekolah Islam non-Kemendikbud. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis melalui kajian literatur terhadap berbagai sumber ilmiah, seperti jurnal, buku, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengendalian mutu pendidikan di sekolah Islam non-Kemendikbud dapat berjalan efektif apabila didasarkan pada dua pilar utama, yaitu: (1) spiritualitas Islam yang menumbuhkan budaya kerja ikhlas, amanah, dan tanggung jawab; serta (2) profesionalisme guru yang menekankan kompetensi pedagogik, sosial, dan manajerial. Integrasi keduanya melahirkan sistem mutu yang berkarakter, partisipatif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan berkelanjutan (continuous improvement). Dengan demikian pengendalian mutu berbasis spiritualitas dan profesionalisme merupakan paradigma baru yang relevan bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam modern. Ath-Thalaq [65]: 1 for women whoare undergoing the 'iddah period in turn becomes a problem if it is connected to contemporaryphenomena so that the discussion of 'iddah with its various rules in the Qur'ān is importantto review, especially regarding the understanding and meaning of Q.S. Ath-Thalaq [65]: 1regarding the prohibition on leaving the house for women during the 'iddah period from theperspective of the interpretation of Indonesian mufassir. This research is qualitative researchand uses library research. The data collection technique uses document study which refers tothe main document, namely the Al-Qur'ān and the tafsir books used include Tafsir An-Nur, Al-Azhar and Al-Miṣhbāḥ. Furthermore, the data analysis technique usesdescriptive-comparative methods and uses a socio-historical approach to sharpen the researchresults. The result of this research is the interpretation of Q.S. Ath-Thalaq [65]: 1perspective of Indonesian mufassir in Tafsir An-Nur, Al-Azhar and Al-Miṣhbāḥ havedifferent views where Hasbi in Tafsir An-Nur is the only person who interprets Q.S. Ath-Thalaq [65]: 1 regarding the strict prohibition of leaving the house for women who areobserving the 'iddah period, namely not allowing women to leave their house at all so thatHasbi's interpretation can be classified as a textual meaning, while Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhar, interprets semi-textually, where Hamka is of the view that the prohibition onleaving the house for women during the 'iddah period is absolute, but the customs of a societyare taken into consideration in implementing the 'iddah rules. Furthermore, MuhammadQuraish Shihab in Tafsir Al-Miṣhbāḥ in understanding a verse of the Qur'an prioritizesthe context before going to the text, so that Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Q.S. Ath-Thalaq [65]: 1 really considers the situation and conditions of modern society, especiallytoday, so Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Q.S. Ath-Thalaq [65]: 1 is contextual
