Puasa di Era Digital: Relevansi Tasawuf dalam Menghadapi Tantangan Spiritual Kontemporer
The article aims to analyze the relevance of the concept of fasting from a Sufi perspective for formulating a practical approach to overcoming spiritual challenges in the digital age, including digital overload, fast-tainment, and “digital sin.” Employing a qualitative library research with a theological-philosophical analytical framework, the study draws on the Quran, Hadith, and Al-Ghazali\u27s Ihya \u27Ulum al-Din as primary sources. Data was analyzed through a hermeneutic interpretation of religious texts to build an argument about the relevance of Sufi fasting in the digital context. The study found that the common understanding of fasting (shaumul umum) is no more relevant in the digital age. In this context, the concept of shaumul khawwas, which involves controlling sinful actions, as well as Sufi practices such as mujahadah an-nafs and digital detox (as contemporary ‘uzlah), becomes an essential “spiritual firewall.” The findings show that fasting in the digital age requires a holistic approach that extends beyond the physical aspect, making the Shaumul Khawwas framework an urgent necessity. The findings in this article contribute to providing practical guidance for Muslims to maintain spiritual integrity during fasting amid the onslaught of digital technology, filling a gap in previous studies related to fasting.Penelitian ini menganalisis relevansi konsep puasa dari perspektif tasawuf dan memberikan solusi praktis untuk menghadapi tantangan spiritual di era digital, khususnya mengatasi digital overload, fast-tainment, dan "maksiat digital". Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi pustaka dengan kerangka analisis teologis-filosofis dengan sumber primer: Al-Qur’an, Hadis, Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din Al-Ghazali; dan sumber sekunder lain yang relevan. penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman puasa awam tidak lagi memadai. Konsep puasa khawwas yang melibatkan pengendalian indra dan anggota tubuh dari dosa, serta praktik tasawuf seperti mujahadah an-nafs dan digital detox (sebagai ‘uzlah kontemporer), menjadi "firewall spiritual" yang esensial. Rekomendasi bagi individu adalah memperluas niat puasa mencakup "puasa digital," mengkurasi konten, dan melakukan digital detox. Untuk komunitas dan lembaga dakwah, rekomendasinya adalah mengedukasi etika digital Islami, mengembangkan panduan fikih-tasawuf terintegrasi, dan menjadi teladan penggunaan teknologi bertanggung jawab
Peran Ki Warsono Plonk dalam Menyebarkan Nilai Islam Nusantara melalui Seni Wayang di Kecamatan Mojowarno Jombang
The adaptability of universal religious values has long enabled local wisdom, such as Wayang, to play an important role in the internalization of Islamic values in Indonesia. Therefore, this article aims to explore Ki Warsono Plonk’s internalization of Islam Nusantara values through Wayang performances, da’wah strategies, and the implications for society. The study employs a qualitative case study design through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis shows that Ki Warsono Plonk conveys Islamic values through the selection of relevant plays, humorous Punakawan dialogues, Islamic-themed suluk, and direct advice to the audience. Ki Warsono Plonk also successfully balances entertainment and da’wah, ensuring the moral message is well received. The wayang performance has increased the community’s understanding of tolerant Islam and strengthened the preservation of local culture.Local wisdom serves as a strategic medium for the internalization of Islamic teachings in Indonesian society, as it effectively accommodates universal religious values within local socio-cultural contexts. This study aims to explain the forms of Islamic Nusantara value internalization in wayang (shadow puppet) performances, the dakwah (Islamic propagation) strategies employed, and their impact on society. The research utilizes a qualitative approach with a case study design through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that Ki Warsono Plonk conveys Islamic values through the selection of relevant lakon (plays), humorous dialogue of punakawan (clown servants), Islamic-nuanced suluk (chanting), and direct pitutur (moral advice) to the audience. Ki Warsono Plonk successfully balances entertainment and dakwah elements, enabling moral messages to be well-received. These wayang performances have contributed to enhancing public understanding of tolerant Islam and strengthening the preservation of local culture
Integrasi Artificial Intelligence dan Lembaga Keuangan Syariah di Era Society 5.0: Memandang dari Lensa Kaidah Fikih: Integrasi Kecerdasan Buatan dan Lembaga Keuangan Islam di Era Masyarakat 5.0: Tinjauan dari Perspektif Kaidah Hukum Islam
Artificial Intelligence (AI) first appeared as a product of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Then, with the advent of the Society 5.0 era, information technology and AI were combined to create harmony between technological developments and enhance human welfare. The existence of AI in the context of human welfare will also be connected to the economy in general and financial institutions in particular, including Islamic financial institutions. This paper aims to explain the integration of AI and Islamic financial institutions in the era of Society 5.0, analyzing it through the lens of Islamic legal maxims. The research method employed normative legal research, utilizing a conceptual approach and an Islamic legal maxims approach. Based on the research discussion, AI could positively contribute to Islamic financial institutions. The integration of technology and Islamic finance was achieved through the use of AI to support the operations of Islamic financial institutions in implementing business management, encompassing services, performance, and risk management. From the lens of Islamic legal maxims, the use of AI by Islamic financial institutions is linked to Islamic legal maxims as guidelines, including the ibâhah principle in muamalah, intention, taisir, sad adz-dzarî\u27ah, and maslahah rules.Artificial Intelligence (AI) pertama kali hadir sebagai produk revolusi industri 4.0. Lalu dengan hadirnya era society 5.0, teknologi informasi dan AI digabungkan untuk menciptakan harmoni antara perkembangan teknologi dan peningkatan kesejahteraan manusia. Eksistensi AI dalam konteks kesejahteraan manusia, maka akan terhubung pula dengan perekonomian secara umum dan lembaga keuangan secara khususnya, termasuk lembaga keuangan syariah. Tulisan ini berupaya menjelaskan integrasi AI dan lembaga keuangan syariah di era Society 5.0 dan menganalisisnya dari lensa kaidah fikih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah penelitian hukum normatif dengan menerapkan pendekatan konseptual dan pendekatan fikih. Berdasarkan pembahasan dalam penelitian ini, maka AI dapat berperan positif bagi lembaga keuangan syariah. Integrasi teknologi dan keuangan syariah terwujud dalam pemanfaatan AI untuk mendukung operasional lembaga keuangan syariah pada penerapan manajemen bisnis baik itu terkait layanan, kinerja maupun penanganan resiko. Dari lensa kaidah fikih, maka pemanfaatan AI bagi lembaga keuangan syariah memiliki pertautan dengan kaidah fikih sebagai pedomannya berupa kaidah prinsip ibâhah dalam muamalah, kaidah niat, kaidah taisir, kaidah sad adz-dzari’ah dan kaidah maslahah
The Effect of Congklak Games on Numeracy and Islamic Values in Early Childhood
This study examines the effect of the traditional congklak game on the development of numeracy skills and Islamic values in early childhood education. The study addresses a gap in the literature, as many previous studies tend to separate cognitive development from spiritual and moral formation, despite the holistic orientation of Islamic pedagogy. While congklak has been widely recognized for its contribution to early mathematical skills, its potential role in fostering Islamic values such as honesty, patience, and cooperation has received limited scholarly attention. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. The participants consisted of 28 children aged 5–6 years selected through purposive sampling at TK Al-Alaq Barombong. Data were collected through structured observation, numeracy tests, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test. The results show a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups (Z = −4.513; p = 0.001), with an average increase of 18.93 points in numeracy scores among children who participated in congklak-based learning activities. These findings indicate that congklak is not only effective in improving numeracy skills but also serves as a meaningful medium for internalizing Islamic values through interactive and rule-based play. Therefore, this study recommends the integration of traditional value-based games into early childhood curricula to support holistic development encompassing intellectual, social, and spiritual dimensions
Pengembangan Media Interaktif Berbasis Nearpod Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Materi Sholat Berjama\u27ah
This study aims to design and develop an interactive learning media based on Nearpod, focusing on enhancing conceptual understanding, motivation, student engagement, and the internalization of congregational prayer (Salat Berjamaah) values in Fiqh lessons for seventh-grade students at MTs. The background of this study is based on low student motivation and active participation, as well as suboptimal understanding of the meaning of worship, due to teacher-centered learning, which affects students’ cognitive and affective outcomes. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of 20 seventh-grade students at MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya. The instruments used included validation sheets from subject-matter and media experts, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The results indicated that the Nearpod learning media developed was highly feasible, with validation scores of 82% from media experts and 92% from subject-matter experts, yielding an overall feasibility score of 87%. Student responses reached 90%, categorized as very practical. Pedagogically, the use of Nearpod media proved to increase motivation, active engagement, and students’ conceptual understanding. From an Islamic education perspective, this media contributes to instilling discipline, togetherness, and spiritual responsibility in the practice of congregational prayer.Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Nearpod yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan materi Salat Berjamaah kepada siswa kelas VII MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan mengevaluasi sejauh mana media tersebut layak dan efektif dalam memotivasi serta meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, melalui tahapan Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah dengan 20 orang siswa kelas VII A. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, media memperoleh skor 82% dari ahli media dan 92% dari ahli materi, dengan rata-rata kelayakan 87%, dikategorikan sangat layak. Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan media mencapai 90%, yang menegaskan bahwa Nearpod memiliki efektivitas tinggi. Hasil posttest juga menunjukkan peningkatan dibandingkan pretest, data tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa integrasi Nearpod dalam pembelajaran berdampak positif terhadap motivasi, partisipasi, dan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan
Konsep Ekoteologi dalam Al-Qur’an: Kajian Tafsir Kemetrian Agama Republik Indonesia dengan Pendekatan Autekologi
Penelitian "Konsep Pemeliharaan Lingkungan Dalam Al-Qur’an (Analisis Kitab Al-Qur’an Dan Tafsirnya Kementerian Agama RI Perspektif Autekologi)" ini menjelaskan tentang bagaimana konsep pemeliharaan lingkungan yang berfokus pada 12 ayat pokok yakni QS. Al-An’am [6] : 99 dan 141, QS. An-Naml [27] : 50, serta QS. ‘Abasa [80] : 24-32 menggunakan analisis penafsiran Kemenag RI dengan perspektif ekologi subdivisi autekologi. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam jurnal ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian yakni pertama, dalam QS. Al-An’am [6] : 141 yakni cara untuk memelihara lingkungan dengan tidak memanfaatkan atau mengonsumsi sumber daya alam dengan berlebih-lebihan. Kedua, dalam QS. Al-An’am [6] : 99 yakni menegaskan bahwa memelihara lingkungan itu penting karena curah hujan yang diturunkan untuk menumbuhkan berbagai jenis tumbuhan dan pepohonan. Ketiga, dalam QS. An-Naml [27] : 50 yakni Allah swt. menegaskan dalam ayat-Nya menciptakan berbagai pemandangan indah lengkap dengan jenis tumbuh-tumbuhan agar manusia merenungkan ke-Esaan-Nya. Keempat, dalam QS. ‘Abasa [80] : 24-32 yakni bahwa berbagai ciptaan Allah swt. bukan hanya sekedar untuk kebutuhan pokok bagi manusia, tumbuhan dan hewan saja, akan tetapi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang tepat guna
Integrasi Islam dan Tradisi Lokal dalam Ritual Bapidara: Analisis Etnografi Masyarakat Banjar di Palangka Raya
Ritual bapidara adalah pengobatan tradisionaldi kelurahan Pahandut yang digunakan sebagai media penyembuhan dari penyakit baik fisik maupun psikis. Dalam ritual ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan yang ramah lingkungan dan alat yang juga ada disekitar lingkungan kemudian dibacakan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana ritual bapidara digunakan oleh orang-orang Banjar di kelurahan Pahandut sebagai komunikasi simbolik antar mereka, kemudian bagaimana ritual bapidara sebagai manifestasi budaya dalam rangka ketahanan sosial komunitas mereka serta bagaimana analisis pemaknaan ritual bapidara dengan menggunakan teori keseimbangan dan ketidaksesuaian dari Leon Festinger. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode kajian etnografi dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan studi lapangan dengan 5 orang pamidara atau patamba yang berusia 35-70 tahun dan 5 orang bapidara yang berusia 30-70 tahun baik laki-laki dan perempuan yang merupakan masyarakat di kelurahan Pahandut. Lokasi penelitian di kelurahan Pahandut kecamatan Pahandut kota Palangka Raya provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosesi ritual bapidara dengan teori keseimbangan dan ketidaksesuaian dalam masyarakat terdapat hasil bahwa budaya lokal ritual bapidara memiliki aturan dan tata cara tersendiri dalam mamidarai (mengobati) orang yang sakit. Keyakinan pengguna bapidara dalam melaksanakan bapidara ini pada intinya yaitu yakin dengan Allah SWT karena hanya Allah yang mampu menyembuhkan dan sebagai pamidara atau patamba yang berfungsi sebagai perantara serta tetap mengikuti syariat Islam. Problem Based Learning Model for Improving Arabic Speaking Proficiency in Higher Education: نموذج التعليم على المشكلات لتحسين مهارة الكلام باللغة العربية في التعليم العالي
Research on Arabic language teaching models remains largely focused on conventional approaches, while the application of innovative models such as Problem Based Learning (PBL) has received limited attention, particularly in enhancing maharah kalam (speaking skills). Yet, PBL has been proven effective in promoting active student engagement through contextual problem-solving. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the PBL model in improving the Arabic speaking skills of students in the Arabic Language Education Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Bima. The research employed a one-group pretest-posttest design, with data collected through observation, interviews, and speaking proficiency tests. Data analysis was conducted using a one-sample t-test. The results revealed a significant improvement in maharah kalam after the implementation of PBL, with the t-count (71.95) considerably exceeding the critical t-table value (2.144). These findings indicate that PBL is an effective approach to teaching Arabic speaking skills at the tertiary level. The study implies the need for the development of more communicative and problem-solving-based instructional designs in Arabic language education
Arabic Hidden Crisis at West Sumatran Islamic Universities: Vulnerable Vitality and Potential Utility for Learning
This study investigates the vitality of the Arabic language and the role of Arabic language landscapes in supporting learning at Islamic universities in West Sumatra. Using a mixed-method Exploratory Sequential Design, data were collected through observations, focus group discussions, and surveys. Although Arabic signage is commonly found on campuses, its distribution is uneven and its use inconsistent. According to UNESCO’s criteria, Arabic in this context is classified as “vulnerable.” Nevertheless, Arabic landscapes demonstrate potential as learning resources, educational media, and components of a supportive linguistic environment. Students reported improvements in vocabulary and contextual understanding through exposure to these elements. While often symbolic, Arabic landscapes can provide meaningful educational value if effectively integrated. The study concludes that their strategic use could enhance Arabic language learning in higher education. Further research is recommended to involve broader populations and explore innovative approaches to incorporating Arabic landscapes into both formal and informal learning environments
Arabic Language Acquisition in Indonesia’s Muslim Minority Community: A Netnographic Study in the Arab Village
Indonesian serves as both the primary means of communication and the mother tongue for the majority of the country\u27s population. However, this is not the case for the community in Parmeraan Village, North Padang Lawas, where Arabic is adopted as the first language for their children. This study aims to explore the underlying reasons behind parents\u27 decision to designate Arabic as their children\u27s first language and the role of religious educational institutions in fostering the development of Arabic in the village. Employing a qualitative approach with netnographic methods, data collection was conducted through observations of social media accounts and interviews with informants. The findings reveal that a deep appreciation for Arabic, its use as a medium for memorizing the Qur\u27an, and the influence of alumni from Middle Eastern institutions are key factors behind parents\u27 decisions to make Arabic their children\u27s first language (L1). Religious educational institutions play a vital role in advancing Arabic as a cornerstone of civilization in Parmeraan Village by creating a language-rich environment and enhancing awareness and motivation to learn Arabic. The implications of this study highlight that religious awareness and parental education play a significant role in shaping children\u27s language preferences, which can be broadly applied to efforts aimed at enhancing religious literacy through Arabic language acquisition
