    Art and artists have occupied a focal interest for people over the centuries, and this interest has had a continuous effect in every section of the society starting from prehistory. The artworks produced in areas of fine arts, architecture, literature, music, and performance arts, have an undeniable importance in shaping the human history. Although we agree about the importance of art, it is difficult to find answers for such questions of ‘what is art? ‘How is it conceived?’ or ‘what does it contribute to?’ Definition of art is mostly based on ambiguous criteria, and in reality, because artists make use of this ambiguity, it will probably continue to remain as it is. Idealist approach claims that art should only be serving art instead of financial interests. Therefore, ‘art for the society’ is not even accepted as art. Even though it is widely acknowledged that such an idealist attitude is not sufficient for the artistic development, when earning profit through art making is on the agenda, people usually prefer to keep quite. However, monetization of artworks is very crucial, as it is the case for everything else. In this article, although we may find it ethically challenging, the effect of monetary gains on the development of art and artists will be examined.Sanat ve sanatçı; çağlar boyunca insanın ilgi alanında olmuş, klişe tabirle mağara devrinden günümüze ve her alanda olmak üzere hiç eksilmeden etkisini sürdürmüştür. Güzel sanatlar, mimarlık, edebiyat ya da müzik dalında olsun, ortaya konan bu eserler; insanlık tarihini biçimlendirme konusunda yadsınamaz bir öneme sahiptirler.   Sanatın önemi konusunda hemfikir olsak da sanat nedir? nasıl anlaşılır? veya neye hizmet eder? türü soruların cevabını vermek zordur. Sanatı tanımlama konusunda nerdeyse tamamen muğlak kriterler söz konusudur ve gerçekte, sanatın kendisi de bu belirsizliği kullandığı için, olasılıkla böyle kalmaya da devam edecektir.  İdealist yaklaşım, sanatın maddi çıkarlara değil; yalnızca sanata hizmet etmesi gerektiğini iddia eder. Bu sebeple, ‘halk için sanat’, sanat olarak bile kabul edilmez. Sanatsal gelişim için, idealist tavrın yeterli olmadığı herkes tarafından bilinip kabul edilmesine karşın; ‘sanat yoluyla kazanç elde etme’ konusu gündeme geldiğinde, insanlar genellikle suskun kalmayı tercih ederler. Halbuki sanat eserinin paraya dönüşmesi, diğer her şey için olduğu gibi, sanat için de çok önemlidir. Bu makalede, etik olarak kabullenmekte zorlanıyor olsak da paranın, sanat ve sanatçının gelişimi üzerindeki etkisi ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır.&nbsp

    THE STRUGGLE FOR SELF-AWARENESS AS REFLECTED IN MARK RAVENHILL’S PLAY SOME EXPLICIT POLAROIDS

    The concern with self-awareness has dominated the Western philosophy and literature being reflected mostly through the ancient Greek motif “know thyself”. The awareness of the self would promote one’s identity as a unique entity, which should be capable of expressing individual thoughts and experiences in order to confer moral significance to one’s actions. The present study focuses on Mark Ravenhill’s play Some Explicit Polaroids which offers a portrait of the societal chaos in a desensitised London, where human life and emotions are commodified and engender the human potential for genuine feelings and expression of moral judgement, thus thwarting the creation of true relationships. Through the characters of his play, Ravenhill generates an awareness of the moral vacuum, which is created as a result of indifference or/and violence of the government apparatus which forces the individual to develop survival mechanisms that abandon altogether the moral significance of their actions and, respectively, any concern with the development of an authentic self. Nadia, a character in Ravenhill’s play, who lacks individual critical judgement and self-knowledge, forms her identity in terms of transaction and exchange that allows her to be easily objectified. This research explores Nadia’s attempt to regain self-value and self-awareness in terms of the transformative power of negativity and will to truth as the transgression and destabilization of the illusion of perfections as to bring the conflictual state into focus by posing the lethargic values and disintegration of faith which are inherent in the happy world myth.The concern with self-awareness has dominated the Western philosophy and literature being reflected mostly through the ancient Greek motif “know thyself”.     Transport, which concerns the importance of our lives, is also associated with many aspects such as economic, health, and education. These dimensions also have an impact on the development level of the country. Traffic accidents are an important element associated with transportation. The consequences of this element can be materially damaged, injured or mortal. Measures taken to solve this problem, which is very important, are increasing day by day. In this study, OECD countries were taken into consideration according to the number of traffic accidents with injuries. The clustering of countries according to traffic accidents with injuries in 2017 and whether there is a statistically significant difference between these clusters were tried to be determined.Hayatımızın önemli bölümünü ilgilendiren ulaşım, aynı zamanda bir ülkenin ekonomik, sağlık, eğitim gibi pek çok boyutu ile yakından ilişkilidir. Bu boyutlar aynı zamanda ülkenin gelişmişlik düzeyi üzerinde de etkilidir. Trafik kazaları ulaşım ile birlikte ortaya çıkan önemli bir unsurdur. Ortaya çıkan bu unsurun sonuçları maddi hasarlı, yaralanmalı veya ölümlü olabilmektedir. Oldukça önemli olan bu sorunun çözümü için alınan önlemler her geçen gün artmaktadır.  Bu çalışmada yaralanmalı trafik kaza sayılarına göre OECD ülkeleri dikkate alınmıştır. 2017 yılı yaralanmalı trafik kazalarına göre ülkelerin kümelenmesine ve bu kümeler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farkın olup olmadığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. &nbsp

    The purpose of doing research is to analyze and assess and to develop a variable and instrument to identify the role of knowledge management of the performance of the plants fish processing in the bitung city. Special target to be achieved in this research namely improving the performance of the plant fish processing in the bitung city to improving the economic growth. Next, methods used in the research and approach are observation, included to indentify in this plant fish processing in the Bitung City, using metrode survey, share the survey/ and provide open questionnaire to get accurate results then process of the data and evaluate the results to conference and international published. After the results obtained, then all this research will give a positive contribution for all stakeholders (academition, businessman, government) where this fits in with a master plan Sam Ratulangi University.     ROMANTİZM SANAT AKIMI VE SANATÇILARI ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

    The Enlightenment movement of the classical period opened the door to the social movements of the Romantic period, and caused the spreading of the French Revolution throughout europe, advocating ideas of equality, brotherhood and freedom. During this period, philosophers, academics and politicians tried to reform european society with their rational doctrines based on thought. When an evaluation of the period is made, it can be known that painters, sculptors, writers, musicians and architects have been working on ideals of cultural enlightenment. The word Romanticism derives from the word "romance", which is the common name of the stories and stories that are mentioned and told in Latin languages. Romanticism can be considered as an effective artistic movement in the fields of painting, sculpture, architecture, literature and music. In the romantic movement, man has been regarded as the center of the universe, and also became to be seen as the source and measure of moral values. In the romatic movement, it was observed that painters reflected intense colors, moving brush drives and passionate feelings in their paintings unprecedented in previous periods. Although romantic painters partly admired and were influenced by preceeding art periods like neoclassicism and other intellectual approaches, they mainly emphasized personal intuition and individuality in their paintings. The artists of the romantic era included heroism, love, death, sadness, hate and patriotism as their main themes in their works. To manifest these in their works, the artists made use of their own emotional and reactive expressions. In the present study, the significance of romanticism in painting and artists such as Eugene Delacroix, Jean-Auguste- Dominique Ingres, Caspar David Friedrich, Philipp Otto Runge, Théodore Géricault, Gros Antonie-Jean, Anne-Louis Girodet, Antoine-Jean Gros, Jhon Henry Fuseli, William Blake, Francisco de Goya and Joseph Mallord William Turner have been examined and evaluated. Additionally, there has also been an evaluations of artists with authentic contributions in this period.Klasik dönemin aydınlanma hareketi, Romantik dönemin toplumsal hareketlerine kapı aralayarak, eşitlik, kardeşlik ve özgürlük düşüncesini savunan Fransız devriminin tüm Avrupa’ya yayılmasına yol açmıştır. Avrupa da 18. Yüzyılda aydınlar ve entelektüeller tarafından “akıl” insanoğlunun en önemli özelliği olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu dönemde, filozoflar, akademisyenler ve politikacılar, düşünceye dayandırdıkları rasyonel doktrinleriyle Avrupa toplumunu yeniden çalışmışlardır. Dönemsel bir değerlendirmeye gidildiğinde ressam heykeltıraş, yazar, müzisyen ve mimarların kültürel anlamda aydınlanmanın biçimlendirme idealleri üzerine çalışmalar ortaya koydukları bilinmektedir.,  Romantizm sözcüğü, Latin kökenli dillerde söz konusu edilip anlatılan öykü ve söylencelerin ortak adı olan “romans” lardan gelmektedir. Romantizm kendi dönemindeki resim, heykel, mimari, edebiyat ve müzik alanlarında etkili olan sanatsal bir eylem olarak değerlendirilebilir. Romantizm sanat akımıyla beraber, evrenin merkezi olarak kabul edilen insan, aynı zamanda ahlâki değerlerin kaynağı ve ölçüsü olarak da değer görmeye başlamıştır. Romantizm’le birlikte 19.yüzyıl ressamlarının daha önceki dönemlerde görülmemiş bir biçimde resimlerinde yoğun renkleri, hareketli fırça sürüşlerini ve tutkulu duygularını yansıtmışlardır. Romantik ressamlar resimlerinde, kendilerinden önce hayranlıkla takip edilen sanat dönemlerinden, Neoklasisizmden ve entellektüel yaklaşımlarından yer yer etkilenmelerine rağmen, sezgi ve bireyselliği daha fazla ön plana çıkartmaktadırlar. Romantik dönem sanatçıları eserlerine kahramanlık, aşk, ölüm, hüzün, sevgi, nefret ve yurseverlik gibi konuları ele almışlardır. İşledikleri bu konulara kendi duygusal ve tepkisel ifadelerini katarak eserlerini ortaya koymuşlardır. Bu çalışmada, özellikle Romantizm’in resim sanatındaki yeri ve Eugene Delacroix, Jean- Auguste- Dominique Ingres, Caspar David Friedrich, Philipp Otto Runge, Théodore Géricault,  Anne-Louis Girodet, Antoine-Jean Gros, Jhon Henry Fuseli, William Blake, Francisco de Goya ve Joseph Mallord William Turner gibi ressamları irdelenmeye çalışılmış. Bunun yanısıra Romantizm akımının heykel, mimarlık, edebiyat ve müzik alanlarına olan etkileri ele alınarak, bu alanlarda da özgün eserler ortaya koyan sanatçılardan söz edilmiş ve dönemsel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır

    STEFAN ZWEIG’IN DEĞİŞİM RÜZGÂRI ADLI YAPITINDA İYİ OLUŞ VE İNTİHAR: DİYALEKTİK BİR OKUMA

    It is known that Stefan Zweig distinguishes between psychoanalysis and literary psychology. According to this fact, his works can be read in the light of current psychological debates. The phenomenon of well-being fits into this context. In literature well-being is accepted as a prominent and appropriate psychological phenomenon. It can be pointed out that this phenomenon has been scrutinized many times, especially in modern narratives reflecting the mental development of the main characters. This is exemplified by the novel “Wind of Change”, which Zweig wrote in the 1930s, but could not complete. In “Wind of Change” the well-being of the protagonist, Christine Hoflehner, is shown dialectically. At this point, her suicidal thoughts play an important role, too, because her well-being is deeply related to her happiness. Christine goes through a rapid and later on dynamic quest for happiness, the psychological reflections of which will be comprehensively discussed in this study.Stefan Zweig’ın psikanaliz ile edebiyat psikolojisi arasında bir ayrım yaptığı bilinmektedir. Nitekim romanları ve öyküleri psikoloji araştırmalarında güncel olarak tartışılan fenomenlerin ışığında da okunabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada ele alınan iyi oluş olgusu da bu bağlamda değerlendirilebilir. İyi oluş edebiyatta seçkin ve uygun psikolojik bir fenomen olarak kabul edilir. Özellikle ana karakterlerin ruhsal gelişimlerinin yansıtıldığı modern anlatımlarda, söz konusu fenomenin birçok kez işlenmiş olduğu da söylenebilir. Zweig’ın 1930’lu yıllarda kaleme aldığı, fakat tamamlayamadığı “Değişim Rüzgârı” adlı romanı buna iyi bir örnek teşkil eder. “Değişim Rüzgârı”’nda, Christine Hoflehner adında ana karakterin iyi oluş hali diyalektik olarak gösterilmektedir. Burada kahramanın intihar düşünceleri de önemli rol oynamakta, zira onun iyi oluşu, kendisini mutsuz eden unsurlarla ilintilidir. Christine çok hızlı ve sonrasında değişken bir mutluluk serüveni yaşar; bunun psikolojik yansımaları da bu çalışmada ayrıntılı olarak ele alınacaktır

    Stage fright is one of the important problems of social life for people since people always have risk to confront with this problem which may bring their career to a close. The musicians are amongst the people who experience intensive stage fright as the most essential professional problem. Therefore, the stage fright emerges as a process that has impact on almost every musician and takes its place in the literature sometimes as “stage anxiety” as well. Anxiety can be expressed as anxiety, sadness, or fear of unknown cause related to an unfavorable situation. This emotion experienced before the stage or on stage can vary from person to person in terms of intensity and effects. However, the number of studies conducted in the literature on this subject is not sufficient. The aim of this study is to address the issue of stage fear that musicians frequently experience and to investigate which methods should be used to overcome this fear.Toplumsal hayatta bazı kişilerin hayatlarının belirli bir kesitinde veya hayatları boyunca karşılaştıkları ve bazen kariyerlerini sonlandırabilecek önemli bir sorundur sahne korkusu. Müzisyenler ise, sahne korkusunu en yoğun şekilde yaşayanlar arasındadır ve onlar için en önemli mesleki sorundur. Sahne korkusu (stage fright), hemen hemen tüm müzisyenleri etkileyen bir süreçtir.  Sahne kaygısı olarak da literatürde yer almaktadır. Kaygı, tercih edilmeyen bir durum ile ilgili tasalanma, üzüntü duyma ya da nedeni belli olmayan korku olarak ifade edilebilir. Sahne öncesi veya sahnede yaşanan bu duygu yoğunluk ve etkileri açısından kişiden kişiye değişkenlik gösterebilmektedir. Buna rağmen bu konu ile ilgili literatürde yapılmış çalışma sayısı yeterli değildir. Bu çalışmanın amacı müzisyenlerin sıkça yaşadığı sahne korkusu konusunun ele alınması ve bu korkuyu yenebilmek adına hangi yöntemlerin kullanılması gerektiğini araştırmaktır

    News, which has an important place in daily life, is an indispensable element for the members of society. It is not possible to live unannounced and one of the fundamental rights of people is to receive news. The profession of journalism has moral values and framework as in every profession. Journalists, especially journalists, are criticized for their working methods. Confidential filming is one of the leading methods of discussion in terms of ethics and law. The aim of the study Some journalists and programmers engaged in “Investigative Journalism” are criticized in terms of news gathering methods. These criticisms will be investigated within the framework of ethical values. The importance of the study will be tried to reveal the rightful and unjust sides of the criticisms brought to the journalists with an objective point of view. In this article, literature search, Channel D “Arena arşiv archive archive search and interview were preferred. The universe and limitations of the study are framed by using hidden camera and haber Arena ”program. Secret programs for magazine programs or personal interests are excluded from our study. As a result, professional journalists have been criticized as methods of working in every news that they consider the public interest, but are often rewarded.Günlük yaşamda önemli bir yeri olan haber, toplumun bireyleri için vazgeçilmez nitelikte bir unsurdur. Habersiz yaşamak mümkün değildir ve insanların temel haklarından birisi de haber alabilmektir. Gazetecilik mesleği de her meslekte olduğu gibi ahlaki değerlere ve çerçeveye sahiptir. Haber yapan gazeteciler de özellikle araştırmacı gazeteciler de çalışma yöntemleri açısından eleştirilmektedir. Etik ve hukuk açısından tartışma yaratan bu yöntemlerin başında gizli çekimler gelmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı “Araştırmacı Gazetecilik” yapan bazı gazeteciler ve programcılar, haber toplama yöntemleri açısından eleştirilmektedir. Bu eleştiriler etik değerler çerçevesinde araştırılacaktır. Çalışmanın önemi ise habercilere getirilen eleştirilerin haklı ve haksız tarafları objektif bakış açısıyla ortaya çıkarmaya çalışılacaktır. Makalede yöntem olarak, literatür taraması, Kanal D “Arena” programı arşiv taraması ve mülakat tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmanın evreni ve sınırlılıkları ise haber alma yöntemlerinden gizli kamera kullanımı ve “Arena” programı ile çerçevelendirilmiştir. Magazin programları veya kişisel çıkarlar için yapılan gizli çekimler çalışmamızın dışında tutulmuştur. Sonuç olarak profesyonel gazeteciler kamu yararı gözettikleri her haberde çalışma yöntemleri olarak eleştirilmekle birlikte çoğu zaman ödüllendirilmektedirler

    PREVENTING AND COMBATING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN: CASE OF TURKEY

    In a patriarchal society, violence against women is part of the expression of the legitimacy of male domination. This horror, as old as mankind itself, must end soon. Women should start to realize that they are far more valuable than men, more than just ideal mothers. Women should understand that their values and powers go beyond the role of being good and obedient girls. Women's potentials should be used beyond superficial things. Today, women need to know how to achieve success and achieve meaningful goals and objectives rather than supporting other achievements. Strong women pursue personal accomplishments, promote themselves and contribute to society as a whole. This article in particular is trying to raise awareness about the elimination of all forms of violence against violence in recent years to analyze and women against women as a widespread phenomenon in Turkey. Violence against a woman is the greatest dignity of humanity. At the same time, violence against women is obviously an indicator of helplessness. In order to completely eliminate this event, first of all, awareness should be raised against violence against women; Turkish society should be educated to support and protect women who are subjected to violence.In a patriarchal society, violence against women is part of the expression of the legitimacy of male domination.
