THE EFFECT OF USING LEARNING START QUESTION ON READING COMPREHENSION OF NARRATIVE TEXTAT X GRADE OF SMK N 1 MERANTI IN 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to find out whether there was an effect of using the learning start question method on students\u27 reading comprehension in class X narrative texts at SMK N 1 Meranti in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a quantitative study with a two-class design, the experimental class and the control class. The population of this study were all students of class X SMK N 1 Meranti. The research sample was taken from 30 students in the experimental class (X TKJ 1) and 28 students in the control class (X TKJ 2). The data collection instrument was in the form of multiple choice tests. Data were analyzed using the t-test formula. From this analysis, the average pre-test score in the experimental class is lower than and the average pre-test score in the control class (43.7 > 37.1) while the average post-test score in the experimental class is higher from the average pre-test score in the experimental class. The average value of the control class post-test (88 > 70) and To > T table (5%) = 8.86 > 0.2542. So, Ha accepted. In other words, the use of the Learning Start Question method is more effective and significant than the conventional method Keywords: Learning Start Question Method, Reading Comprehension, Narrative text

Get PDFThe purpose of this study discusses the differences between the Tanjungbalai dialect and Indonesian in semantic studies. The type of research used in qualitative research with descriptive methods. This descriptive research method is carried out by collecting, classifying and analyzing or processing data with the aim of describing the differences between Tanjungbalai dialect words and Indonesian in semantic studies. In this study, what is studied is the meaning of Tanjungbalai dialect words in semantic studies. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interview, listening, note-taking and documentation techniques. The conclusions of this study are (a) the differences between the Tanjungbalai dialect and Indonesian whose word forms are the same but have different meanings in semantic studies are 25 words, (b) the differences between the Tanjungbalai dialect and Indonesian whose word forms are different but have the same meaning in semantic studies are 75 words

Get PDFAnalysis of Javanese cultural values in the novel Tanah Bangsawan by Filiananur using a literary sociology approach. The aim of this research is to determine the Javanese cultural values contained in the novel Tanah Bangsawan by  Filiananur  using  a  Literary  Sociology  Approach.  Literary  sociology  is considered a universe-centered approach. Literary sociology analyzes literature by considering social  aspects.  Language  is  the  main  raw  material  for  producing novels. The results obtained from this analysis show five Javanese cultural values that  use  a  literary  sociology  approach,  namely  language,  knowledge,  social, religious and artistic systems. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data sources in this research are primary and secondary data sources. The primary data source was obtained from the text of the Novel Tanah Bangsawan by Filiananur. Secondary data sources were obtained from journals, websites and previous theses. The data collection technique used in this research is the reading, listening and note-taking technique because the data is in the form of text. The note-taking technique is done by reading the novel first and then recording the required data. The author only takes data, library sources, notes and matters related to the research

Get PDFAnalysis of Socialist Feminism in the Film Mars (Mimpi Ananda Raih Semesta) by Sahrul Gibran. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the struggle of a mother in fighting for her child\u27s right to education, as well as to explore the child\u27s attitude and efforts in getting an education in the midst of difficult economic conditions, especially in the context of Gunung Kidul Village as depicted in the film MARS (Mimpi Ananda Raih Semesta). The study also aims to understand the economic conditions of the community in the village and analyze the impact and contribution of the community to the social relationship between mother and child in the film, by paying attention to the interaction, support, and involvement of villagers in the lives of the main characters. In this film, women are depicted as the main characters who fight against gender and economic injustice in the context of a socialist society. The data collection technique used in this study uses archival records from video recordings of films and documentation from related journals. Data analysis is carried out through the content analysis method consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data reduction aims to make data clearer and more organized, while data presentation describes data using certain categories. Drawing conclusions is done to ensure answers to research questions
Analisis Ketimpangan Sosial Pada Film Miracle In Cell No.7 Karya Hanung Bramantyo Dalam Kajian Semiotika Rolland Barthers
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the form of social inequality in the Miracle in Cell No. 7 film using Rolland Barthers\u27 semiotic study. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The methods used are documentation study and literature study. Documentation study is conducted by collecting data in the form of the Miracle in Cell No. 7 film downloaded through one of the websites on the internet while Literature Study is conducted by searching, collecting, and studying data through literature, books and other relevant and supporting reading sources. The results of the study concluded that in the Miracle in cell no 7 film there are 13 scenes that contain elements of social inequality. Of the 13 scenes, they are then classified into 3 forms of social inequality that cause discrimination in the community. Namely marginalization of the lower class, social inequality and discrimination of the upper class against the lower class, and threats and violence in the legal process. Marginalization of the lower class has 3 scenes, then social inequality and discrimination of the upper class against the lower class has 5 scenes and for threats and violence in the legal process there are 3 scenes. Several scenes show forms of social inequality caused by differences in social status, but the forms of social inequality that occur are dominated by the limitations of one of the characters so that this social inequality occursÂ

Get PDFThis study aims to determine the ability to write exposition texts of class X TBSM1 and X TBSM2 of SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Balai, Datuk Bandar District, Tanjung Balai City. This type of research uses a quantitative experimental research method with a final test research design. The population in this study were all students of class X consisting of 4 classes. The research sample was 2 classes (class X TBSM1 and class X TBSM2) which were taken by random sampling class. In class TBSM2 as an experimental class using the Mind Mapping model through audio visual media totaling 36 and in class TBSM1 as a control class with a conventional learning model totaling 35. Data collection techniques with written tests and documentation. Based on the results of the experimental class\u27s exposition text writing ability scores, the average score was 82.2 and the control class\u27s exposition text writing ability scores were 63.94. The significant value obtained was greater than the table, which was 9.41> 2.38. This proves that there is an influence of the Mind Mapping learning model on the ability to write exposition texts through audio-visual media in class X TBSM students of SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Balai in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN LITERASI NUMERASI DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN WINDOW SHOPPING BERBANTUAN MEDIA INTERAKTIF BERBASIS CANVA
Get PDFTujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat Peningkatan Kemampuan Literasi Numerasi siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Window Shopping berbantuan media interaktif berbasis Canva pada materi Perbandingan di kelas VII UPT SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Tiram Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VII yaitu 3 kelas. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran window shopping berbantuan media interaktif berbasis canva dan kelas VII-B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran langsung yang diambil secara sampling purpose. Sebelum pembelajaran diberikan diperoleh pretest dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen 14,28 dan kelas kontrol 15,92 sedangkan setelah pembelajaran selesai, diperoleh posttest dengan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 80,57 dan kelas kontrol 72,46. Hasil uji t diperoleh Thitung= 2,501> Ttabel= 2,007 maka  diterima, sehingga diperoleh terdapat Peningkatan Kemampuan Literasi Numerasi siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Window Shopping berbantuan media interaktif berbasis Canva pada materi Perbandingan di kelas VII UPT SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Tiram. Kata kunci: Window Shopping, Perbandingan, Literasi Numeras
PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN GEOGEBRA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN LITERASI NUMERASI SISWA
Get PDFTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan geogebra pada materi geometris sisi datar mempengaruhi literasi numerasi siswa kelas delapan SMP Swasta Syuhada pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quasi eksperimental, dengan pre- dan post-test diberikan kepada dua kelompok terpisah. Semua peserta berasal dari tiga bagian berbeda dari Kelas VIII. Dua kelompok berbeda berfungsi sebagai sampel penelitian (kelas VIII-1 dan VIII-2). Pada Bagian VIII-1, kita akan menggunakan pendekatan pedagogis Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) sebagai kelas eksperimen, sedangkan Bagian VIII-2 akan berfungsi sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pendekatan pedagogis Ekspositori. Dibandingkan dengan kelas normatif, kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata pretest yang jauh lebih tinggi (27,91). (28,75). Rata-rata post test untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 79,33 setelah pembelajaran selesai, tetapi hanya 73,33 untuk kelompok kontrol (70,83). Hasil uji T diperoleh . Get PDFThe aim of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model on mathematical communication skills in the material Lines and Series Arithmetic at XIth Class of SMA NEGERI 1 AIR JOMAN in 2022/2023 Academic Year, which is taught using the Kinemaster assisted application. It is an application that can be used by a smartphone which is useful for editing various interesting videos by presenting a fairly simple display. This study uses a learning model (ATI) which contains a number of methods/ways in teaching students to improve students\u27 mathematical communication skills. From the results of research conducted on 30 students at the experimental class and control class by giving questions in essay form, the learning results were even better. From this, it can be concluded that the ATI learning model has an effect on improving students\u27 mathematical communication skills. PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PUISI MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X TKJ di SMKS Dharma Maitreya Bengkalis melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dan metode pengamatan langsung dengan bantuan media audiovisual. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X TKJ, dengan fokus utama pada peningkatan keterampilan menulis puisi yang diukur berdasarkan aspek kesesuaian judul dan tema, penggunaan diksi, rima, tipografi, dan makna atau amanat puisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL dan penggunaan media audiovisual efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa. Terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada nilai rata-rata kelas dari siklus I ke siklus II, serta peningkatan antusiasme, partisipasi, dan respons positif siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kombinasi model pembelajaran PjBL dan media audiovisual dapat menjadi pendekatan inovatif dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi, sekaligus memotivasi siswa untuk lebih terlibat dan kreatif dalam proses pembelajaran
