    THE EFFECT OF FRONTLOADING STRATEGY WITH THE HELP OF AUDIO VISUAL MEDIA ON THE STUDENTS READING COMPREHENSION

    The intended of this research was to find out the significant effect of frontloading strategy with the help of audio-visual media on the students\u27 reading comprehension of report text at Grade XI of SMA Swasta Al Ma’shum Sidodadi in 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research was quantitative research. The population of this research were all class XI consisting of 3 classes. The sample in this research was students of XI MIA 1 as experimental group  using frontloading strategy with the help of audio-visual media and XI MIA 2 as control group using conventional way taken by cluster random in sampling. The instrument of collecting data was test. Before treatment, the pre-test was given. The pre-test obtained with a mean of control group of 52,2 and the experimental group of 64,2. While after treatment was finished, the post-test obtained with a mean of control group of 60,7 and the experimental group of 81,6. The frontloading strategy was an effective way to improve students’ reading comprehension. The result of the analysis obtained that tscore>ttable = 5,66 > 0,2738 then Ha was accepted thus it was obtained that using frontloading strategy has significant effect with the help of audio-visual media on reading comprehension.Keywords: Effect, Frontloading Strategy, Report Tex

    THE EFFECT OF YOUTUBE ON STUDENTS’ DIFFICULTIES SPEAKING ENGLISH LEARNING

    The intention of this research was to find out the significant Effect Of Social Media YouTube On Students’ Difficulties Speaking English Learning At Tenth Grade SMK Negeri 1 Air Joman In 2023/2024 Academic Year. This research was quantitative research. The population of this study was all class X which consisted of 7 classes. The samples in this research were students X RPL-2 as an experimental class using YouTube video learning media and X RPL-1 as a control class using conventional learning methods taken by Purposive Sampling in sampling. The instrument of collecting data was test. Before treatment, the pre-test was given. The pre-test obtained with a mean of control class is 12,14 and the experimental group is 11,66. While after treatment was finished, the post-test obtained with a mean of control class is 17,34 and the experimental class is 17,97 The YouTube video was an effective way to improve students’ difficulties in speaking english. The result of the analysis obtained that Tcalculated > Ttable score, namely 2.283 > 2.032, then Ha was accepted thus it was obtained that using YouTube has significant effect on student difficulties in speaking english.Keywords: YouTube, Speaking Difficultie

    ANALYSIS ON STUDENTS’ DIFFICULTIES IN READING COMPREHENSION REPORT TEXT AT GRADE X OF SMA AL-MA’SHUM KISARAN IN 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR

    This research aims to analyze the most dominant difficulties faced by the class. This research is qualitative research, and the subject is class. The data collection techniques are observation and tests. Researchers used data analysis techniques developed by Miles and Huberman. The steps are first, data collection; data collected from student observations. Third, data display, there the searcher collects all the information and draws conclusions. The search results showed that 15% of students had difficulty determining the main idea (35 wrong answers). 15.91% of students had difficulty understanding vocabulary (59 wrong answers). Furthermore, 23.41% had trouble in drawing conclusions (56 wrong answers) and 22.22% of students had trouble in identifying detailed information from texts where the number of wrong answers was 40.     This research purpoused to find the effect of question-answer relationship (QAR) technique towards students’ reading comprehension in narrative text at X Grade oat MAS Bustanul Uluum in 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research was conducted non-experimental design into pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Population and Sample of this research was X Grade MAS Bustanul Uluum in 2022/2023 Academic Year that consist of 60 students. A multiple-choice test with 20 items was used to collect the data. The score of Pre-Test was 61.62 and after treatment score of Post-Test was 83.18. The minimum score of pre-test was 20 and the maximum score was 80, minimum score post-test was 75 and maximum score is 100. Sign of 0.05, the r-count was 0,256 higher than the r-table 0,214. The alternate hypothesis was accepted, that the QAR technique significantly to students\u27 understanding of reading comprehension in narrative text. So the concluded is Ho >Ha / r-count >r-table/0.256>0,214

    This research was intended to find out the empirical evidence of the students’ achievement in reading comprehension on descriptive text by using flipped classroom at the X grade of MAS Teladan Ujung Kubu. This research was quantitative research. The population of this research was all the students of Grade X of MAS Teladan Ujung Kubu. Samples of this research were taken from 30 students of experimental group (class X IPA 1) and 30 students of control group (class X IPA 2). The instrument for collecting data was a test. After analyzing the data, the writer got; (1) The students’ achievement in reading comprehension on descriptive text by using flipped classroom got the mean 81,33 and standard deviation was 5,04; (2) The students’ achievement in reading comprehension on descriptive text by using conventional method got the mean 78 and standard deviation was 4,51. The value of t-observed was 2,729 and that of t-table was 2,009. So, the value of t-observed was higher than that of t-table, it means that there was significant effect of using flipped classroom on students\u27 achievement in reading comprehension on descriptive text

     This research aims to find out whether there is an increase in skills in writing biographical text material by the Window Shopping learning model assisted by Genially media at  X th class of IPS-2 students of  SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman in 2023/2024 Academic Year. The subjects of this research are  36 students of Xth class of  IPS-2 students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of two cycles. It can be seen that in cycle I the average student score was 74.72. There were 23 students (63.88%) who completed and 13 students (36.11%) who did not complete. Meanwhile, in the second cycle of research, an average value of 82.08 was obtained. There were 30 students who completed (83.33%) and 6 students who did not complete (16.66%). Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the application of the Window Shopping learning model assisted by Genially media can improve the skills of writing biographical texts well on student learning outcomes and run smoothly.Â

    This study aims to determine the style of language contained in the song by Nadin Amizah in the study of stylistics and the meaning contained in the song. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The methods used are documentation techniques and hermeneutic techniques. Documentation techniques are looking for data on things or variables in the form of notes, transcripts, books, agendas, and so on. While the hermeneutic technique is the technique of reading, recording and concluding. The results of the study concluded that the song Amin Paling Serius by Nadin Amizah uses language styles such as, (1) Comparative language style consisting of personification, metaphor, simile, analogy, antithesis, and euphemism (2) opposition language style consisting of hyperbole. There are forty dictions found in this song, including (1) two denotations (2), eight connotations (3), sixteen (4) abstract words, eight (5) concrete words, three (6) general words. two special words, and (7) one popular word. Meanwhile, the meaning of the song Amin Most Serious by Nadin Amizah is that this song invites listeners to remain enthusiastic and grateful in facing all obstacles in life, conveying inspirational and motivating messages through lyrics that are full of meaning and emotion

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Islamiyah Hessa Air Genting tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang menggunakan pembelajaran dengan model Discovery Learning berbantuan video pembelajaran  berbasis etnomatematika dibandingkan dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan  desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Islamiyah Hessa Air Genting. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah purpose sampling, dimana sampel dipilih dengan pertimbangan peneliti sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Kelas X IPA-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan video pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika sedangkan kelas X IPA-2 sebagai kelas kontrol diajarkan dengan menggunakan  model pembelajaran konvensional. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa skor kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa  yang dianalisis dengan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan video pembelajaran berbasis Etnomatematika lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning, Etnomatematika, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Sisw

    PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KERJA PESERTA DIDIK (LKPD) BERBASIS CONTEXTUAL TEACHING LEARNING (CTL) BERBANTUAN GEOGEBRA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIKA SISWA SMA

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan LKDP berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan geogebra untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMA Negeri 1 Air Joman  dan untuk memperoleh kelayakan LKPD yang ditinjau dari valid, praktis, dan efektif serta untuk mendapatkan hasil peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis setelah menggunakan LKPD berbasis CTL  berbantuan geogebra, dan respon siswa terhadap LKPD berbasis CTL berbantuan geogebra. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian pengembangan dan model penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan LKPD berbasis CTL adalah model 4-D (define, design, develop, disseminate). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah LKPD yang dikembangkan sangat valid dengan nilai rata – rata uji validasi oleh para ahli sebesar 97%. LKPD mendapatkan respon yang sangat baik dari peserta didik dengan skor analisis kepraktisan sebesar 87% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. LKPD berbasis CTL pada materi perbandingan Trigonometri pada segitiga siku – siku efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dibuktikan dengan hasil hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis yang memperoleh rata rata nilai 85,71 yang dikategorikan sangat efektif. Dengan demikian, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa hasil pengembangan LKPD berbasis CTL terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis pada materi perbandingan trigonometri pada segitiga siku siku layak digunakan dilihat dari aspek valid, praktis, dan efektif
