Data Science for Digital Privacy: A Practical Guide for Non-Technical Audiences
As companies increasingly rely on consumer data for personalization and profit, the need for stronger user protections, security measures, and transparency in data practices grows. Legal frameworks must be continuously re-evaluated and updated to ensure accountability, while individuals must be equipped with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their digital presence. However, personal data privacy education remains widely inaccessible due to the technical language and the effort required to navigate complex policies. This project, presented in both zine and blog formats, addresses this gap by providing clear, actionable, and accessible recommendations for data privacy and personal cybersecurity. As an unconventional thesis of work in Data Science and Interdisciplinary Ethics (with a concentration on Business Ethics), it seeks to empower non-technical audiences to better understand and protect their personal data, fostering informed consent and advocacy for stronger privacy protections

Social Media\u27s Impact on Youth
Social media poses a growing threat to youth, exposing children to inappropriate content, unhealthy comparisons, mental health challenges, addiction, and more. In collaboration with the non-profit organization Wired Human, which is dedicated to creating safe online environments for children and raising awareness of the long-term risks, we have conducted extensive research and advocacy efforts. As part of this initiative, we surveyed students aged 16 to 25 to better understand these dangers. Partnering with Wired Human, we presented our findings to leaders at The United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., urging action to protect children online. In this presentation, we will share our survey results, insights from our advocacy experience in D.C., expert perspectives on this issue, and opportunities for involvement

Through viewing the writing process and watching heartfelt messages write themselves out for none of the recipients to ever see, one can see how language and catharsis go hand in hand
