Filosofía y función creativa de las humanidades digitales: hacia un concepto eficaz de educación crítica
No full text This article focuses on analyzing the relevance of philosophy's reflective function for consolidating a concept of critical education based on the progress achieved by digital humanities and cyberculture. Given the spectacular development of new technologies, the traditional concept of humanities has had to adapt to new realities and sociocultural expectations of what humanistic education should contribute. In this regard, this work explores the concept of digital humanities and how they rethink old notions within the framework of the so-called knowledge society. To this end, the philosophical tradition plays a leading role as the articulating axis of reflection. For this reason, this work considers the notion of philosophy as a means of reinforcing the critical-reflective dimension of digital humanities. Finally, through a hermeneutic-critical methodology, this work explores the notion of critical education and how it fits into the field of new information technologies, particularly through the notion of digital humanities. This leads to the central thesis that the philosophical heritage plays a central role in the foundation of a critical education that takes full advantage of the flourishing of the digital humanities in the educational process.El presente artículo se centra en el análisis de la relevancia que reviste la función reflexiva de la Filosofía para la consolidación de un concepto de educación crítica, basado en los progresos alcanzados por las humanidades digitales y los progresos de la cibercultura. Ante el espectacular desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías, el concepto tradicional de Humanidades ha tendido que adaptarse a las nuevas realidades y expectativas socioculturales de lo que debería aportar la formación humanística. En tal sentido, este trabajo explora el concepto de humanidades digitales y la manera en que replantean las antiguas nociones en el marco de la llamada sociedad del conocimiento. Para tal efecto, la tradición filosófica juega un papel de primer orden, como eje articulador de la reflexión. Por tal razón, en este trabajo se contempla la noción de Filosofía como un medio para reforzar la dimensión crítico- reflexiva de las Humanidades digitales. En fin, a través de una metodología hermenéutico-crítica, este trabajo explora la noción de educación crítica y cómo se inserta en el ámbito de las nuevas tecnologías de información, particularmente, mediante la noción de humanidades digitales. Lo cual conduce a la tesis central de que el acervo filosófico ocupa un papel central en la fundamentación de una educación crítica, que saque el máximo provecho del florecimiento de las humanidades digitales en el proceso formativo
Contabilidad y la Variable Ambiental: Una Revisión de la Literatura Reciente sobre Riesgos Climáticos, Reporte de Sostenibilidad y Valoración de Externalidades (2015-2025)
No full textThis article undertakes a comprehensive review of the crucial intersection between accounting and the environmental variable, focusing on developments from 2015 to 2025. It highlights how ecological factors have transformed into critical determinants of competitiveness and business risk in the contemporary context. The methodology employed involved a qualitative analysis and critical interpretation of key texts from recent academic research and specialized corporate and regulatory reports. Key findings reveal a significant evolution in the accounting field, which is actively re-evaluating its information models to effectively capture and communicate the relevant results of economic entities' interaction with their natural environment. Despite notable advancements in standardization through frameworks like IFRS S2 and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), a persistent need remains for achieving a comprehensive and understandable assessment of both monetary and non-monetary aspects that promote environmental sustainability within the traditional accounting framework. This review emphasizes the imperative for accounting to adapt, emerging not only as a tool for compliance but as a strategic pillar for sustainable management and corporate transparency in the era of climate change and broader nature-related considerations.The study concludes by proposing new lines of research to address the ongoing challenges and opportunities presented by the integration of the ecological dimension in accounting practice.Este artículo emprende una revisión de la intersección crucial entre la contabilidad y la variable ambiental, centrándose en los desarrollos ocurridos entre 2015 y 2025. Se destaca cómo los factores ecológicos se han transformado en determinantes críticos de la competitividad y el riesgo empresarial en el contexto actual. La metodología empleada consistió en un análisis cualitativo y una interpretación crítica de textos clave provenientes de investigaciones académicas recientes y reportes corporativos y regulatorios especializados. Los hallazgos principales revelan una evolución significativa en el ámbito contable, el cual está reevaluando activamente sus modelos de información para capturar y comunicar eficazmente los resultados de la interacción de las entidades económicas con su entorno natural. A pesar de los avances notables en la estandarización, a través de marcos como la NIIF S2 y la Directiva de Informes de Sostenibilidad Corporativa (CSRD), persiste una necesidad imperante de lograr una valoración integral y comprensible de los aspectos monetarios y no monetarios que promueven la sostenibilidad ambiental dentro del marco contable tradicional. Esta revisión enfatiza la necesidad de que la contabilidad se adapte, emergiendo no solo como una herramienta de cumplimiento, sino como un pilar estratégico para la gestión sostenible y la transparencia corporativa en la era del cambio climático y las consideraciones más amplias relacionadas con la naturaleza. El estudio concluye proponiendo nuevas líneas de investigación para abordar los desafíos y oportunidades al integrar la dimensión ecológica en la práctica contable
El enfoque mixto en la investigación contable: fundamentos y aplicación metodológica
No full textThis scientific article presents the results of research that sought to demonstrate that a mixed-methods (quantitative-qualitative) approach is the most appropriate for accounting research. A questionnaire was developed and administered to a sample of 150 participants, including professors and postgraduate accounting students. Based on the theoretical framework of complexity, data was collected that allowed the hypothesis to be tested (p < 0.035) and the acceptance of this approach for this type of research. The study concludes that epistemological training should be promoted, and the development of research skills using technological tools should be fostered.El presente artículo científico es el resultado de una investigación donde se buscó sustentar que el enfoque mixto (cuanti-cuali) es el más apropiado para la investigación contable. Se desarrolló un cuestionario aplicado a una muestra de 150 participantes formado por profesores y estudiantes del postgrado en contabilidad, Bajo el fundamento teórico de la complejidad se logró recopilar información que permitió comprobar la hipótesis (0.035 =<0.05) y aceptar este enfoque en este tipo de investigaciones. Concluyendo que se debe promover la formación epistemológica, fomentar las competencias en aprendizaje de como investigar empleando herramientas tecnológicas

No full textDigital transformation, led by technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), represents a key opportunity for the productive and competitive strengthening of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Costa Rica. This article explores the concrete impact of AI adoption in these sectors, as well as the challenges, key evaluation indicators, and the strategic role that smart SMEs play in the national economic ecosystem. From a comprehensive perspective, recommendations are presented aimed at aligning digital transformation with sustainable business objectives, highlighting the role of public universities as agents of technology transfer.La transformación digital, encabezada por tecnologías como la inteligencia artificial (IA), representa una oportunidad clave para el fortalecimiento productivo y competitivo de las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) en Costa Rica. Este artículo explora el impacto concreto de la adopción de IA en estos sectores, así como los desafíos, indicadores clave de evaluación y el rol estratégico que juegan las pymes inteligentes en el ecosistema económico nacional. A partir de una mirada integral, se presentan recomendaciones orientadas a alinear la transformación digital con objetivos empresariales sostenibles, destacando el papel de las universidades públicas como agentes de transferencia tecnológica
Análisis estructural del mercado con enfoque micro y macro en empresas de reparación y mantenimiento de bombas
No full textThis research aims to analyze strategies to improve market presence and increase sales in pump repair and maintenance companies. The methodology is based on two analyses: Microeconomic analysis, where the demand curve is analyzed, and the slope and intercept of the curve are calculated; and the supply curve, where the procedure is similar to the demand curve, but with data on prices and quantities offered. Macroeconomic analysis, where the correlation coefficient between GDP, exports, imports, FDI, external debt, production, and GDP is calculated to determine their relationship. The results at the microeconomic level determine the equilibrium point in the supply and demand curve, finding an optimal price of B/. 175.00 with a quantity offered of 194 units and a demand of 142 units. At the macroeconomic level, the results show that the relationship between GDP and FDI in Panama is not a simple positive correlation, as various factors influence this relationship. The study highlights the need to consider both microeconomic and macroeconomic factors to understand a company's performance and make strategic decisions that drive its growth and profitability in the market.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar estrategias para mejorar la presencia en el mercado y aumentar las ventas en empresas de reparación y mantenimiento de bombas. La metodología se basa en dos análisis. El análisis microeconómico, donde vemos la curva de la demanda, se calcula la pendiente y la intersección de la curva; y la curva de la oferta, donde se procede de manera similar a la curva de la demanda, pero con datos de precios y cantidades ofertadas. El análisis macroeconómico, donde se calcula el índice de correlación entre PIB, exportaciones, importaciones, IED, deuda externa, producción y PIB para determinar su relación. Los resultados a nivel microeconómico determinan el punto de equilibrio en la curva de oferta y demanda, encontrando un precio óptimo de B/.175.00 con una cantidad ofertada de 194 unidades y una demanda de 142 unidades. A nivel macroeconómico, los resultados indican que la relación entre PIB e IED en Panamá no es una simple correlación positiva, ya que diversos factores influyen en esta relación. El estudio resalta la necesidad de considerar tanto factores microeconómicos como macroeconómicos para comprender el desempeño de una empresa y tomar decisiones estratégicas que impulsen su crecimiento y rentabilidad en el mercado

Additionally, numerous health applications are designed to help older adults manage their medication, remember medical appointments, and keep track of their health. Virtual assistants, such as Alexa and Google Assistant, can help older adults perform daily tasks, remind them to take their medications, and provide entertainment. Social media platforms and video call applications enable older adults to stay connected with family and friends, reducing social isolation and improving emotional well-being. Finally, there are exercise programs and applications specifically designed for older adults that promote physical activity and mental well-being.La tecnología está transformando la manera en que los adultos mayores cuidan de su salud, haciéndola más accesible y personalizada. La telemedicina permite a los adultos mayores acceder a consultas médicas desde su hogar, reduciendo la necesidad de desplazamientos y facilitando el seguimiento de enfermedades crónicas. Los dispositivos de monitoreo, como relojes inteligentes y monitores de salud, pueden rastrear signos vitales, actividad física y patrones de sueño, proporcionando datos valiosos tanto para los usuarios como para sus médicos.
