Project Review on Water Level Sensing Using PLC

    Get PDF
A PLC is a digital computer used to automate electromechanical processes. This research is based on automation of a water tank by using Siemens PLC. Automatic control of water tanks can work continuously and can provide accurate quantity of water in less time. In such process there is no need of labor so there is no human error. Without human error, the quality of product is better and the cost of production would definitely decrease with no error in quantity required. Water level sensing can be implemented in industrial plants, commercial use and even at hom

The Estimation ofAggregate Consumption Function for High Income Countries

    Get PDF
Aggregate Real Private Consumption (ARPC) is one of the major components of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)that contributes to specify any economy’s long term living standards. The contribution of ARPC stands on an average around 55%. It is therefore important to understand the components of the consumption which is almost more than half of the aggregate economic expenditure. The study is an attempt to make a case for developing countries to bring policy level changes in order to determine the consumption pattern of developing countries’ GDP. Using appropriate empirical model the study investigates the validity of Permanent Income Hypothesis (PIH) and Absolute Income Hypothesis (AIH)on ARPC for selected developed economies. The results of the study reveals that the important determinants of ARPC in the long-run are real GDP and wealth, while in the short-run they are real interest rate and unemployment rate

    Get PDF
Halal certification studies in hospitality industry are rarelyexplored and discussed. In particular, research on Halal certificationin Pakistan is yet to be explored. Recently realizing the potential ofHalal food market, the Ministry of Science and Technology hasestablished Halal Authority. In this context, this study explores themanagerial perception of International Food Chains (IFCs) towardshalal certification in Pakistan. Further, the impact of halalcertification on restaurant performance is explored. In this study sixvariables were positively hypothesized whereas two variables werenegatively hypothesized in relation halal certification. For furtherextension, halal certification affect was measured on restaurantperformance. Multiple regression analysis was used to estimate results, showing the acceptance of positively hypothesized relationships andrejection of negatively hypothesized relationships

FOULING OFF THE CURVES: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF RESILIENCE AS AN ASSAULT AGAINST TEACHERS STRESS

    Get PDF
The purpose of this research is to test the mediating rolethat resilience plays between job demands and job stress of universityteachers. For this purpose a total of 243 questionnaires were collectedfrom university teachers and data so gathered was analyzed usingStructural Equation Modeling , to test the fit of the proposed model. The results show that the relationship between teachers’ job demandsand job stress is mediated by teachers’ resilience. The model servesas a source for epitomizing the key concepts in the given field ofstudy and furthering the research in exploring other positiveconstructs and their interaction with job stres

Bloom’s Taxonomy (Cognitive Domain) in Higher Education Settings: Reflection Brief

    Get PDF
The role of taxonomy of objectives is considered to be one of themost imperative elements in curriculum designing and drafting oflearning outcomes and objectives. Several educationists and academicians have regarded this model in facilitating learning achievement from lower level knowledge acquisition to higher order thinking. However, a few others have critiqued this phenomenon by reconnoitering its implications on segmentation of knowledge application into a hierarchical model, that may restrict learners, specifically in highereducation settings to limit their acquisition of a concept. Moreover, students’ learning and motivation are hampered while undergoingsuch an intensive, structured assessment of those learning outcomes. This reflection brief will appraise and reflect in favour of the variouscritiques established around the phenomenon of progressive Bloom’staxonomy and will briefly discuss the idea of reversing the level oftaxonomy in higher education settings to sustain student learningmotivation

The findings of the study revealed that the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) is best suited to assess students’ knowledge and skills and the teachers viewed that in order for students to be accomplished in this board, the ways of assessment must take a more meaningful measure of evaluating student’s progress

The Conditional Relationship between Risk and Return: Evidence from an Emerging Market

This paper examine whether the conditional relationship between betaand return proposed by Pettengill et al. (1995) exist in an emergingstock market namely Pakistan. We applied this approach to KarachiStock Exchange (KSE-100) returns data over the period of 1992-2008,and found that there is a flat unconditional relationship between betaand return which is consistent with previous research. And when wesplit our sample into up market and down market return months, ourresult supported the conditional relationship
