This qualitative case study research aimed to investigate the notions of power and hegemony in research consultations around the construct of language ideologies. The study employed purposive sampling by selecting two MS (Education) research supervisees with their supervisors. It identified a social wrong of power and hegemony in research supervision practices and with a transformative spirit, hoped to bring about awareness and modifications in research supervision. Methodically, the study followed the analytical approach of Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) (1989; 2003). The data were collected through observations and transcriptions of research consultation meetings and interviews of the participants. The textual analysis of case one revealed how language became a source of establishing asymmetrical power relations between the participants. Contrastingly, in case two the consultations were not hinged on language aspects and had more equality and homogeneity between the partners. The finding of the study indicated that language ideologies played a very important role in sustaining the dominant position of the powerful agent, that is, the supervisor. Based on the findings, it is hoped that this research would lead to more democratic styles of supervision and equity and emancipation in supervision as a social practice. Keywords: critical discourse analysis, power and hegemony, language ideologies, research supervision

Requirement prioritization play a significant part in overcoming problems related to requirements and it use to increase customer satisfaction. Requirement prioritization is use to verify the correct functionality of product and guarantee that the software is built within the given constrains, like budget, cost, value, time and etc. Requirements prioritization reliant on the specific requirements of customer along with prediction of importance and cost of each requirements. The approaches proposed in modern days to prioritize requirements have not been widely used because of its complexity, its inconsistency and its time-consuming factor. This paper represents an analysis on obtainable prioritization techniques based on cost and benefit and drawbacks evaluation of requirements. This paper represents a new approach of requirement prioritization, which can be easily managed, implemented and used as decision-making device by decision maker for requirement prioritization. It also overcomes the drawback of existing requirement approaches. The results of newly proposed approach shows thatproposed model for requirement prioritization is simple and is useful for more refined critical decisions of prioritization, keeping in view the cost and benefit

During past few years, data is growing exponentially attracting researchers to work a popular term, the Big Data. Big Data is observed in various fields, such as information technology, telecommunication, theoretical computing, mathematics, data mining and data warehousing. Data science is frequently referred with Big Data as it uses methods to scale down the Big Data. Currentlymore than 3.2 billion of the world population is connected to internet out of which 46% are connected via smart phones. Over 5.5 billion people are using cell phones. As technology is rapidly shifting from ordinary cell phones towards smart phones, therefore proportion of using internet is also growing. Thereis a forecast that by 2020 around 7 billion people at the globe will be using internet out of which 52% will be using their smart phones to connect. In year 2050 that figure will be touching 95% of world population. Every device connect to internet generates data. As majority of the devices are using smart phones togenerate this data by using applications such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Apple, Google, Google+, Twitter, Flickr etc., therefore this huge amount of data is becoming a big threat for telecom sector. This paper is giving a comparison of amount of Big Data generated by telecom industry. Based on the collected datawe use forecasting tools to predict the amount of Big Data will be generated in future and also identify threats that telecom industry will be facing from that huge amount of Big Data

It is concluded that three models of teacher development were being followed unintentionally at the school: Individually-Guided Staff Development model, Observation/Assessment model and the Training Model. The problem was that these models were not followed in their full spirit due to lack of motivation from the administration. Even though school systems are trying to professionally develop their teachers, they lack the competency as to how to conduct a successful teacher development program

Achieving Software Release Management and Continuous Integration using Maven, Jenkins and Artifactory

It is often required that the developers working on a single module or software project, while working from remote locations. Scenarios like that increase complexity and challenge to manage releases and to merge their daily work in a single artifact. For component based development, developers are responsible for the merging their own work with others and to make sure the integrations went smooth with no error and problems. Sometimes it’s hard to do this job because of the large size of team members, big project size or geographically separated teams.  Through Continuous integration this whole process becomes lot easier because all the validations and verifications will be done by an automated job.  This job will check for the changes in the project code and whenever a change happens it will run the build process automatically, which detects errors and problems with the code and also notifies the concerned team member who is responsible for this error. This study introduces an approach to setup a Continuous Integrations techniques in a project using open source tools like Maven, Jenkins and Artifactory

The aim of this study is to examine the economic corns of demutualization and gauge the stability and soundness of demutualized indexes and predict financial drivers of demutualization using Probit Extreme Bounds Analysis. The sample of the study includes 29 exchanges of the World. We find that demutualized exchanges are more attractive in case of hot and stable state markets than full-fledged local mutual exchanges. Conversely, market capitalization is categorized as a robust financial driver influencing exchanges propensity to demutualize. In addition, this study finds that demutualization of exchanges leads towards international alliances, market integration, unfold flourishing and growth avenues which enhance potential synergies between stock market related activities and therefore lead to stock market growth

Estimated Export Demand and Supply Functions for Pakistan: A Disaggregated Analysis

This study estimates the impact of demand and supply side factors on the export performance of Pakistan. Using unrestricted autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model for the period 1971 to 2015, the study analyzes export performance using data both at aggregate and disaggregate levels. The study finds, firstly, that exports are elastic to changes in world income and relative export price at the aggregate level. Secondly, at a disaggregate level, only exports of manufactured goods, leather and cotton cloth are elastic with respect to world income. Similarly, demand for all export categories is inelastic to changes in relative export price. On the supply side, exports at both aggregate and disaggregate levels are significantly elastic to changes in domestic production capacity and relative price. The study concludes that demand and supply side factors are equally important in explaining the export behavior at the aggregate level, whereas at a disaggregated level, the supply side factors exercise relatively high impact on export performance
