The spread of rock painting, which only developed in eastern Indonesia, raises the question of whether the bearer of this rock painting culture is different from the carrier of the culture that developed in western Indonesia. This paper tries to explain this based on rock paintings in South Sulawesi. In addition, with regard to cultural products in the form of rock paintings as one of the works of art that are full of symbols in conveying messages, it is necessary to study in more depth the meaning and message that the supporters of the culture are actually trying to convey. Is there a connection between the meaning of cave wall paintings as a medium for conveying messages and the migration? &nbsp

Is there a relationship between the sculpting technique and the theme of the story? As is known in the Ciwa and Brahma Temples (the Ramayana story) tells the journey of a noble or king, so it requires complete accessories. On the other hand, in the Vishnu temple, Kresnayana's story tells of Kresna's "life journey" as a "human being" who socializes a lot with the lower community. In terms of the quality of the order, the sequence is as follows: First Ciwa Temple, Second Brahma Temple, and the third Vishnu Temple. Because it is a continuation of the Ramayana story, the Brahma Temple is one level better than that of Vishnu Temple

The beginning of the growth of the cities along the north coast of West Java was closely related to the fall of Malacca to the Portuguese in 1511. Since then, trade relations between the Portuguese and the Sundanese kingdom have intensified. This is because Sundanese provide a lot of commodity goods, especially pepper. In his description, Barros illustrates that the mountainous interior of Sunda is unlike the interior of Java. The main ports number six, namely Chiamo, Xaca-tra, or Caravam, Tangaram, Cheguide, Pondang, and Bantam

These kinds of questions are urgent for further stud

    TIGA RELIEF KHARMAWIBANGGA CANDI BOROBUDUR

    No full text
The subject is not a general discussion, but a special discussion includes case studies to reveal the phenomena carved at the foot of the Borobudur temple, or better known as Kharmawibangga. This part of the foot of the candi does not appear as a whole, because of the safety and sustainability of the temple itself, as a reinforcing material. Therefore, not everyone can see these reliefs, but from libraries by archaeologists such as Van Erp, Soekmono, and Casparis, photographic recordings can help in this study
