Principal's Strategy in Improving Student Discipline at Senior High School 1 Jayapura
Abstract: This study examines the principal's strategy in improving student discipline at SMA Negeri 1 Jayapura, with the aim of understanding the implementation of discipline strategies and the supporting and inhibiting factors that exist. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive design, which collects data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study consisted of principals and teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Jayapura. The results of the study indicate that the principal's strategy in improving discipline includes several important steps. First, the implementation of clear and integrated rules in the annual program. The principal uses the Student Rules of Conduct Book (TATIBSI) as a guide for school activities that have been recorded and standardized. TATIBSI provides direction regarding school regulations and ensures that each student understands and obeys the rules clearly. The principal provides exemplary examples, especially in terms of neatness of dress and punctuality, which are expected to be role models for students. Second, the regulations are emphasized by dividing the categories of violations from minor to serious. This division helps students understand the level of violation and its consequences better. Third, collaboration between the principal, teachers, and parents in monitoring student discipline is also an important part of this strategy. With good communication between the school and parents, student discipline can be monitored more effectively, both inside and outside the school. Fourth, the principal also applies the “5 S” culture (smile, greet, say hello, be polite, be polite) to create an environment that supports and supports the development of student discipline. This culture helps create a friendly, appreciative, and respectful atmosphere, which contributes to the creation of discipline in everyday life at school. With these strategies, the principal strives to create a more disciplined and productive environment for students.

Academic Supervision by School Principals on Learning Tools in Border Areas, West Kalimantan
Abstract: This research delves into the academic supervision in Ketungau Hulu sub-district, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan. The study employed descriptive methodology, encompassing interviews and questionnaires. Data was gathered from 3 out of 10 junior high schools situated in proximity to the border. 3 principals and 3 teachers were interviewed, with 25 teachers participating in the survey. Based on data analysis, 90% completion rate for resources, 77.33% for resources, below 90% for teacher guides and schedules. Principals effectively supervised academics (above 90% completion rate) and created supervision schedules (88% completion rate). Room for improvement in academic supervision tools, currently at 89.33% completion rate. Based on interviews, academic supervision varies based on teachers' readiness. Educators reduce apprehension by being familiar with supervision. Teachers adapt to technological constraints by using basic media. Teachers and principals collaborate post-supervision to address issues. Some teachers participate in MGMP activities, while financial and geographical constraints limit others. Principals' supervision planning needs enhancements for consistent oversight. Overcoming obstacles like technological limitations is crucial. Post-supervision evaluations and follow-up procedures are effectively executed. More effort is needed to ensure all teachers have training opportunities to enhance their competencies.

Challenges and Opportunities in Implementing the Teaching Factory Model in Special Needs Schools: Alternative Work Readiness for Students with Disabilities
The intense job competition and the low absorption rate of special needs school graduates in the business and industrial sectors are allegedly due to the ineffective implementation of the link-and-match concept. This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities faced by special needs schools in preparing students for the workforce through the Teaching Factory (TEFA) model. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected from two principals and six vocational skills teachers through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that teacher competence in mastering vocational skills remains low, the curriculum oriented toward Competency-Based Training (CBT) and Production-Based Training (PBT) has not been properly accommodated, and infrastructure and financial resources are limited. However, several opportunities were identified, including principals’ good understanding of the TEFA concept, extensive partnerships with related institutions (Vocational High Schools and industries), vocational skills programs developed based on needs assessments, and vocational skills roadmaps aligned with school visions and missions. The study concludes that the main challenges faced by special needs schools revolve around human resources, financial resources, service programs, and infrastructure, while opportunities exist in human resources and service programs. These findings highlight that special needs schools continue to face significant obstacles in effectively implementing the TEFA model to prepare students for employment. Therefore, a proper and comprehensive analysis is necessary to identify operational strategies that can minimize challenges and maximize opportunities for special needs education in implementing an adaptive and accommodating TEFA model
Social Dominance Orientation as a Predictor of Cyber Aggression Behavior During the 2024 Indonesian General Election on Social Media X
Cyber aggression has become a significant concern during the 2024 Indonesian General Election. Social dominance orientation is one of the factors suspected to correlate with cyber aggression. Based on this premise, this research aims to investigate the predictive relationship between social dominance orientation and cyber aggression in the context of the 2024 Indonesian General Election on social media X. The research employs a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 286 X users aged 22–40 years, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The measurement tools utilized in this research are the Social Dominance Orientation-7 (SDO-7) and the Cyber Aggression Questionnaire for Adolescents (CYBA). The data analysis technique applied is simple linear regression analysis. The results reveal that social dominance orientation predicts or contributes 10.7 percent to cyber aggression during the 2024 Indonesian General Election on the X (R2 equals .107; F[1,284] equals 33.885; p less than .05)
Transformasi Bisnis dengan Digitalisasi Akuntansi: Pendampingan Penyusunan Harga Pokok Produksi
Perkembangan teknologi informasi menuntut berbagai sektor, termasuk dunia bisnis, untuk beradaptasi dan mengimplementasikan teknologi dalam operasional mereka. Digitalisasi akuntansi menjadi salah satu kunci untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan daya saing, terutama dalam penyusunan harga pokok produksi (HPP). Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan kepada pelaku UMKM dalam menggunakan teknologi digital untuk menyusun HPP yang lebih efisien dan akurat. Program ini melibatkan UMKM Saqura Fried Chicken & Geprek, yang berlangsung dari 5 Juli 2024 hingga 26 Juli 2024. Pelatihan dilakukan secara tatap muka dan mencakup sosialisasi, penggunaan perangkat lunak akuntansi digital, serta praktik langsung menghitung HPP. Evaluasi setelah pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta untuk menghitung HPP dengan akurat dan memahami pentingnya biaya-biaya yang sebelumnya tidak diperhitungkan, mitra juga melaporkan peningkatan efisiensi dalam proses akuntansi dan kemampuan menetapkan harga jual yang lebih kompetitif. Untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program, disediakan pendampingan yang memungkinkan peserta untuk mendapatkan dukungan teknis. Keberhasilan program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan profitabilitas dan daya saing UMKM di pasar global melalui adopsi teknologi digital yang tepat dan efektif
Permainan Engklek Interaktif Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun
Seiring perkembangan teknologi, diperlukan inovasi agar permainan tradisional tetap menarik dan relevan. Permainan tradisional Engklek memiliki potensi dalam mengembangkan keterampilan motorik kasar pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis permainan Engklek yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan anak kelompok B di TK Flamboyan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, uji coba, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media permainan engklek interaktif yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan motorik anak. Validitas media yang dikembangkan diperoleh melalui penilaian ahli. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis permainan Engklek ini layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pembelajaran di TK untuk mengembangkan keterampilan motorik anak. Guru dan anak memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap permainan ini, yang dianggap menarik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran inovatif untuk pendidikan anak usia dini
Development of Sustainable Fashion Soft Skills by Fashion Educationists Through Non-Formal Education Programs
This research aims to discuss the development of students' soft skills in achieving fashion sustainability taught by fashion educators and to explore the materials applied in fashion education institutions. Fashion is one of the primary human needs that provides self-identity, boosts self-confidence, offers comfort, and upholds values of modesty. Consequently, the fast fashion industry competes to produce clothing on a large scale, often unaware of the negative impacts such as pre-consumption and post-consumption waste, which harm the environment and threaten human well-being. Therefore, the term sustainable fashion has emerged, referring to environmentally friendly clothing. In response, non-formal fashion education institutions have taken the initiative to teach materials related to soft skills aimed at fashion sustainability, including the development of leadership character, ethical fashion, skills in designing sustainable fashion garments, and fashion business. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method, with data collected through in-depth interviews and observations of fashion educationists. Through the programs and materials provided to students, this scientific research is expected to benefit related human resources and raise awareness about preserving the environment through clothing
Implementasi Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian Anak Usia Dini
Lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini idealnya dapat memenuhi layanan kepada peserta didiknya secara utuh, layanan yang dimaksudkan adalah layanan pendidikan, pengasuhan serta gizi dan kesehatan. ketiga layanan itu diberikan dengan tujuan mengoptimalkan aspek pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada anak usia dini. Dimana pada usia ini menjadi fondasi yang penting bagi masa depan mereka. TK Nasional KPS menunjukkan sesuatu desain pembelajaran yang unik dengan menggunakan kegiatan pemberian makanan tambahan sebagai media untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kemandirian pada peserta didiknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang aspek kemandirian anak yang berkembang pada saat pemberian makanan tambahan. Adapun metode penelitian yang dipakai menggunakan rancangan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian adalah kelompok B1 TK Nasional KPS, Guru, Kepala sekolah dan orangtua murid. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini diantaranya adalah lembar observasi, catatan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun prosedur pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan adalah metode observasi, prosedur wawancara serta prosedur dokumentasi. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada 83,33% anak mampu menunjukkan kemandiriannya saat kegiatan pemberian makanan tambahan dilaksanakan
Oosthoek Sugar Eden: The colonial sugar industry in Panaroekan
Abstract Sugar has been indispensable in the global economy over the past nineteenth century. New lands were being explored to become sugar-producing areas, not least Panaroekan. During the colonial period, several sugar factories were constructed in Panaroekan. In addition, some of these sugar mills are still in operation. Based on this research background, this paper examines the history of the sugar industry in Panaroekan during the colonial period. In addition, this research also aims to identify the varying factors that drove the growing sugar industry in the region. This research will use the historical approach as a method to reconstruct events in the past. Based on the research conducted, it is known that the area's fertility and the existence of low-cost labor were the major factors that prompted the accelerated growth of the sugar industry in Panaroekan. This made the area an important sugar manufacturer in the Eastern part of Java. Abstrak Gula menempati posisi yang penting dalam perekonomian global di sepanjang abad ke sembilan belas. Daerah-daerah baru di eksplorasi menjadi kawasan penghasil gula tidak terkecuali Panaroekan. Pada masa kolonial didirikan beberapa pabrik gula di Panaroekan. Bahkan beberapa pabrik gula tersebut masih beroperasi hingga saat ini. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka kajian ini membahas bagaimana perkembangan industri gula di Panaroekan selama periode kolonial. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai faktor yang mendorong pertumbuhan industri gula di wilayah tersebut. Penelitian akan menggunakan pendekatan sejarah sebagai metode untuk merekonstruksi peristiwa di masa lampau. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa kesuburan wilayah dan ketersediaan tenaga kerja yang murah menjadi faktor utama yang mendorong percepatan pertumbuhan industri gula di Panaroekan. Sehingga menjadikan kawasan ini sebagai penghasil gula yang penting di ujung timur Pulau Jawa.
MODEL OF EDUCATION RECONSTRUCTION TERHADAP MISKONSEPSI PESERTA DIDIK PADA TOPIK RESPIRASI ANAEROB
Abstrak. Respirasi Anaerob merupakan salah satu topik pelajaran biologi yang wajib dipelajari oleh peserta didik kelas XII IPA. Pada topik respirasi anaerob mempelajari tentang bioteknologi. Bioteknologi sangat bermanfaat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari karena penerapannya berkaitan dengan respirasi anaerob. Namun pada topik ini memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang cukup tinggi dan seringkali peserta didik mengalami miskonsepsi pada tahapan, pemanfaatan mikrobia dan produk yang dihasilkan dalam respirasi anaerob. Dengan demikian diperlukan Model of Education Reconstruction (MER) untuk memperbaiki konsepsi peserta didik menjadi konsep ilmuan dengan penerapan desain pembelajaran berbasis video dan praktikum. Penggunaan video dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dapat memaparkan tahapan dan pemanfaatan mikrobia dalam penerapan konsep respirasi anaerob. Sedangkan melalui kegiatan praktikum peserta didik dapat melihat secara langsung produk yang dihasilkan dalam respirasi anaerob. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang peserta didik kelas XII IPA SMA Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu dengan 10 orang laki-laki dan 10 orang perempuan. Instrumen penelitian berupa three-tier test yang diberikan kepada sampel pada kegiatan pre-assesment dan post-assesment. Hasil penelitian pada pre-assesment menunjukkan konsepsi peserta didik pada topik respirasi anaerob tergolong rendah, dengan data 33% miskonsepsi, 42% tidak tahu konsep, dan 25% tahu konsep. Setelah dilaksanakan Model of Education Reconstruction (MER) berbasis video dan praktikum, konsepsi peserta didik mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil post-assesment, yaitu 16% miskonsepsi, 2 % tidak tahu konsep, dan 82% tahu konsep. Dari persentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Model of Education Reconstruction (MER) berbasis video dan praktikum mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual peserta didik pada topik respirasi anaerob.
Abstract. Anaerobic Respiration is one of biology topics that must be studied by XII IPA high school Students. The topic is Biotechnology which useful in everyday life due to its application related to anaerobic respiration. However, this topic has a fairly high level of difficulty and sometimes make students get misconceptions about the stages between microbes and the products produced in anaerobic respiration. Thus a Model of Education Reconstruction (MER) is needed to improve students' conceptions into scientific concepts by applying video-based learning designs and practicums. It can be used to explain the stages and utilization of microbes in applying the concept of anaerobic respiration. Meanwhile, through practicum, the students can see directly the products produced in anaerobic respiration. The subjects of this study were 20 students of XII IPA high School in Bengkulu City which consist of 10 boys and 10 girls. The research instrument was a three-tier test which was given to the sample in the pre-assessment and post-assessment activities. The results of the pre-assessment showed that students' conceptions on the topic of anaerobic respiration were low, with the data of 33% misconceptions, 42% did not know the concept, and 25% knew the concept. After implementing the video and practicum-based Model of Education Reconstruction (MER), students' conceptions have increased. This is evidenced by the post-assessment results, namely 16% had misconceptions, 2% did not know the concept, and 82% knew the concept. This percentage shows that the video-based Model of Education Reconstruction (MER) and practicum can improve students conceptual understanding on the topic of anaerobic respiration
