This Microsoft® Excel® 365 text is developed to provide students with the basic skills on working with Excel 365. This book covers six chapters. Each chapter will be provided with the “Start File” and “Complete File”. The “Start File” will contain the data learners need to work with such chapter. Then, the learner will follow the demonstration in the slides/screenshot to learn the concepts covered in such chapter. Once the learner finish such chapter, the “Start File” will resemble the “Complete File.”
It is highly recommended that the learner practice with the project in each chapter 2-3 times. During the last practice, the learner should not need to consult the demonstration anymore. If the learner still need to look at the demonstration as a reference, it is an indication that additional practices are needed.

Improving nursing student outcomes: A quality improvement initiative to implement a structured clinical teaching program
Get PDFA dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Nursing Practice.Upon entry into practice, only 23% of newly graduated nurses from 140 registered nursing programs across the United States demonstrate essential nurse competencies and practice readiness (Kavanagh & Szweda, 2017). The lack of uniformity and structure in faculty engagement with students at the project site has resulted in inconsistent student performance in simulations, student/faculty interaction in clinical, and didactic course exam performance at the project site. The results acquired through an integrated literature review found use of structured clinical questions assist in advancing student/faculty engagement and elicit higher-order thinking. The purpose of this project was to increase competencies for entry into practice by promoting clinical judgement and improving analytical thinking through actively engaging clinical faculty with students in the clinical setting using structured clinical questions versus an informal structure. Key findings in relation to student simulation performance identified students in the non-intervention group only using the structured objectives performed better than those students in the intervention group using the structured objectives and clinical questions. Using a structured teaching format identified program weaknesses, evaluated performance differences among clinical faculty, and provided an evidence-based structure to the newest clinical faculty to have the best performance outcomes in patient safety and communication. Regarding didactic exam performance, the intervention group performed statistically better on exam one. No significant findings were identified among groups in relation to more time spent engaging with clinical faculty improving student performance.Nursing PracticeCollege of Nursing and Health Science

Barriers to early diagnosis and management of diabetes in Asian Americans
No full textCollege of Nursing and Health Sciences, Nursing; Faculty Mentor: Dr. Meng ZhaoType 2 diabetes mellitus is endemic to the United States and poses a serious threat to its citizens. Diabetes affects approximately 10% of the Asian American population despite their lower body weight, with most cases being type 2 diabetes mellitus (Hung et al., 2013). Early detection of diabetes is imperative to prevent serious lifelong complications such as neuropathy, Coronary Artery Disease, and nephropathy. However, there is a disparity in the time it takes for America’s Asian population to be diagnosed with diabetes for a multitude of reasons. For example, Asian Americans typically present with a lower or normal BMI and with a younger onset of disease (Hsu et al., 2011). Further, the rate of undiagnosed diabetes amongst Asian Americans is nearly three times as high as in non-Hispanic whites, which suggests that diabetes screening among this population is insufficient (Tung et al., 2016). An integrative review was conducted to try to explain the cause of the time lag in diagnosis of diabetes for Asian Americans and attempt to find new parameters to implement in the diagnosis process so that earlier diagnoses can be made, allowing for more effective diabetes management and lessening the long term complications
