History of Osaka Aoyama Junior College as seen from changes in the number of graduates
From one index, the number of graduates in each year of our junior college, we looked back on the process of how this two-year higher education institution has progressed. Then, I compared the figure with the higher education policy of each period.
The school was opened in 1967, and the total number of graduates of the first semester was 28 in the two departments. After that, the number of graduates increased year by year in line with the times, and the number of graduates in March 1993 was 1,109.
However, after that, the number of graduates peaked at 1,201 in 1995, and the number of graduates gradually decreased from the following year. As a result, the recruitment of departments will be suspended in stages, and in 2019, the recruitment of the last department was suspended.
Junior colleges play an important role in securing opportunities for higher education in rural areas in Japan. In addition to playing a major role in the education of female students, we provide education to develop the abilities necessary for vocational or actual life based on a wide range of education, and there are a variety of kindergarten teachers, nursery teachers, nurses, nutritionists, long-term care personnel, etc. The number of junior college schools and students is decreasing year by year, but active re-evaluation is necessary.departmental bulletin pape
