“WASHATIYAH IQTISHODIYAH” NALAR MODERASI EKONOMI SEBAGAI SOLUSI MENGATASI KEMISKINAN
Poverty is one of the root causes of humanitarian crises, as it can threaten well-being and lead to mass suffering. It may arise from disparities in skills, employment opportunities, and access to resources. Another contributing factor is an individual’s mindset that tends to believe every person has a predetermined share of sustenance as decreed by Allah. This paradigm fosters a reluctance to work and a complacency with what one already possesses, ultimately resulting in personal poverty that is passed down to subsequent generations. This contrasts with the Islamic view, which encourages its followers to work diligently to meet their needs and avoid the behavior of begging—a symbol of economic incapacity. Islam places great emphasis on addressing poverty, as unchecked and poorly managed poverty can have detrimental effects on both faith and social cohesion. This study aims to link the concept of wasathiyah in Islamic economics as an alternative approach to poverty alleviation. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data were obtained from classical and contemporary Islamic literature. The findings reveal that the wasathiyah principle in economics embodies three core characteristics that serve as the foundation for solutions to poverty: balance between worldly and spiritual life, between worship and social transactions (muamalah), and between the divine and human dimensions. These three aspects reflect an Islamic economic approach that is non-extreme, inclusive, and sustainable. Pendidikan Muslim Tradisional dan Modern di Inti dan Pinggiran: Tantangan yang Bertahan
This study explores the dynamics of traditional and modern Islamic education within core and peripheral contexts, examining the challenges faced in a globalized world. The research utilizes qualitative analysis through a combination of literature review and case studies of Islamic educational institutions in both core and diaspora regions. Traditional institutions like pesantren and madrasahs preserve religious and cultural identity but often face criticism for their lack of relevance in modern contexts. The integration of secular curricula in Islamic education is critical for preparing the younger generation to meet global demands. Islamic education in the diaspora faces unique challenges in balancing traditional identity with local values. Moreover, the educational access gap in peripheral areas exacerbates these challenges. The study recommends an integrative educational model that bridges traditional and modern approaches, ensuring the relevance, adaptability, and sustainability of Islamic education. The research aims to offer insights into how educational institutions can adapt to globalization and the changing needs of society
Aktualisasi Indikator Desa Ramah Perempuan dan Peduli Anak Sebagai Upaya Strategi Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kelurahan Bulusan
This study focuses on actualizing the Women-Friendly and Child-Care Village (DRPPA) indicators as a community empowerment strategy in Bulusan Village, Banyuwangi. DRPPA is a government initiative aimed at protecting women and children while promoting gender equality and enhancing women’s roles in entrepreneurship and child-rearing. The research employed the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving the community actively to foster social change. The mentoring program revealed that urgent issues in Bulusan included stunting and limited educational resources for pregnant women. The DRPPA program was implemented with a community-centered approach through regular Posyandu (integrated health post) activities and the “Sentuh Gemilang” initiative, which emphasized nutritional improvement and health education. Results demonstrated increased public awareness and knowledge about the importance of nutrition for children’s development, as well as a higher level of community engagement in empowerment activities. This study concludes that the PAR method is an effective strategy for empowering communities and fostering a village environment that supports women and children. 
Pendampingan Keterampilan Menyimak Cerita Berbahasa Inggris Dengan Metode Story Telling Di Mi Nurul Huda Sukaraja
Listening is a learning process carried out by students to carry out listening activities, understand, evaluate and respond to what has been heard. Listening skills are receptive language skills because in this skill the meaning of language is obtained and processed through symbols and verbally. Based on what will be done in this community service activity, the listening skills of English stories in grade V students at MI Nurul Huda Sukaraja school are still focused on mastering grammar and vocabulary structure which is done through Drilling Activities and the low ability and interest in listening to a story using the story telling method. In this service, several problems were found in listening skills, namely (1) the implementation of the English listening skills process is still focused on the teacher (Teacher Center Learning), 2) Students are busy with their friends and often play, (3) there is no interaction between teachers when given a question because students have not mastered the material and have not understood it, and (4) students are not interested and not enthusiastic during the learning process. It can be concluded from this listening that many failures in the learning process occur because the teacher and students do not understand or the teacher has not provided an understanding of how to listen well and correctly and that listening skills are needed as a basis for improving learning. The purpose of this community service activity focuses on skills and applying students in listening to English stories using the story telling method in English learning. The desired result is to improve English story listening skills using the story telling method in English learning properly according to the material provided, students are very enthusiastic in this service and enjoy this listening skills material. based on the results of the mentoring and the diagram, it can be described that 85% of students listened to the English story (18 students listened and 3 did not listen from a total of 21 students), then 87% of students understood the English story and 40% of students did not understand the English story (16 students understood and 5 students did not understand from a total of 21 students), if all aspects of the mentoring in listening to the story are added up, the average score is 70% seen from these results, the mentoring in listening to English stories with the storytelling method at MI Nurul Huda has increased from these results, it is included in the criteria for students to understand listening to English stories with the storytelling method, especially in the digital era, many use gadgets where students often use games to play rather than listening to English stories with the storytelling method
Building a Quality Curriculum: Optimizing the Curriculum Management Process in Madrasah Aliyah
Optimizing curriculum management is a strategic step in supporting the success of superior education programs at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. This study is motivated by the importance of implementing effective curriculum management to improve the quality of education, especially in the aspects of planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study aims to analyze the optimization of the curriculum management process at the madrasah. The approach used is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection techniques through direct observation and in-depth interviews. Data were collected from 2 people, namely the head of curriculum and teachers, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that curriculum planning is carried out collaboratively by involving various stakeholders to ensure alignment with student needs and the vision of the madrasah. Program implementation is closely monitored through routine supervision, with significant improvements in curriculum implementation based on the results of this supervision. Curriculum evaluation is carried out comprehensively, using learning outcome data and input from various parties, such as supervisors and senior teachers, who make important contributions to program improvement. The development of superior education programs focuses on the integration of religious values, academic enrichment, and the addition of relevant extracurricular activities to support student development holistically. This study concludes that optimal curriculum management plays a significant role in supporting the success of the curriculum and superior education programs. The implications of this study are the need for increased training for teachers and curriculum staff, as well as strengthening data-based evaluation systems to maintain the sustainability of superior education programs
ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA DALAM NARASI MICROFICTION DI AKUN INSTAGRAM FIKSIMINI.ID: TEORI SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES
This study aims to analyze microfiction published on the Instagram account Fiksimini.id using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory approach. Microfiction, as a form of modern literary work with a limited number of words, stores complex meanings through symbols and signs. This study identifies the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings contained in microfiction to understand how this narrative reflects social, political, and cultural realities. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and content analysis. The results of the analysis show that microfiction on Fiksimini.id not only conveys messages directly, but also contains in-depth social criticism of various contemporary issues. This study is expected to contribute to the development of semiotic studies and understanding of microfiction as a medium for representing ideology in literary communication
The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching English in Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunities
This research investigates the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on English language instruction in higher education, exploring both its potential benefits and challenges. A mixed-method approach was utilized, integrating survey data with in-depth interviews. The questionnaire was distributed via Google Forms through WhatsApp groups and personal networks to English lecturers. The study involved 16 English lecturers from both public and private universities in East Java. Analyzing the survey responses and interview transcripts revealed that AI technology presents both opportunities and obstacles in English language education. AI has brought significant changes to English instruction at the university level, with lecturers employing various AI tools for tasks such as generating and responding to questions, assessing grammatical accuracy, detecting plagiarism, paraphrasing, and conducting literature reviews. This research also underscores AI’s benefits in language education, particularly in grammar correction and plagiarism detection. However, alongside its advantages, AI also introduces new challenges for the future of English teaching. The effective integration of AI necessitates strong digital literacy skills. As AI technology continues to develop, there is a possibility that certain aspects of English teaching may become automated. Consequently, English lecturers need to continuously refine their digital skills to maintain their relevance in the evolving educational landscape
Pengaruh Gambar Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Belajar Siswa
Learning media in the form of image media is a tool that teachers can use in the learning process with the aim of creating meaningful learning for students. So the role of a teacher who has expertise, determination and ability in using this media greatly influences the formation of learning understanding in students. This research aims to describe the use of image media in improving children's understanding of learning. The research results show that the use of this visual media can strengthen students' memory, increase their involvement in learning activities, and contribute to improving better academic results. Therefore, it is hoped that the integration of pictures and graphics in teaching methods can be an effective strategy to support student learning achievement.
Media pembelajaran yang berupa media gambar itu merupakan alat bantu yang dapat di gunakan guru dalam proses pembelajaran dengan tujuan untuk membentuk pembelajaran yang bermakna bagi peserta didik. Sehingga peran dari seorang guru yang memiliki keahlian, ketetapan dan kemampuan dalam penggunaan media tersebut sangat berpengaruh pada terbentuknya pemahaman belajar pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media gambar dalam meeningkatkan pemahan belajar pada anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media visual ini dapat memperkuat daya ingat siswa, meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam kegiatan belajar, serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan hasil akademik yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, integrasi gambar dan grafik dalam metode pengajaran diharapkan dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk mendukung pencapaian prestasi belajar siswa
A Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Program Linear Berdasarkan Kepribadian Thinking dan Feeling
This study aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students in solving linear programming problems in terms of the Thinking and Feeling personality types. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The research subjects consisted of four students from the 4A Mathematics Education class at IAIN Kerinci, selected purposively based on MBTI questionnaire results two students of the Thinking type and two of the Feeling type. The instruments used include the MBTI questionnaire to identify personality types, linear programming problem-solving tests, and interview guidelines to explore the students' thinking processes. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Thinking- and Feeling-type students display different problem-solving patterns. Thinking-type students tend to be systematic in planning and executing strategies but are still lacking in the review stage. Meanwhile, Feeling-type students understand the problems well but are less accurate in calculations and final conclusions. These differences indicate that personality types influence how students solve mathematical problems, particularly in reflective thinking and problem-solving strategies
METODE DAKWAH BERBASIS SANAD: STUDI TRADISI PENGAJARAN DAN KETELADANAN K.H. MUHAMMAD ARWANI AMIN SA’ID KUDUS
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh melemahnya otoritas moral dan spiritual dalam dakwah Islam modern yang cenderung pragmatis dan retoris. Kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis metode dakwah berbasis sanad yang dipraktikkan K.H. Muhammad Arwani Amin Sa’id di Pesantren Yanbu‘ul Qur’an Kudus sebagai model dakwah yang menekankan kesinambungan antara ilmu (‘ilm), adab, dan amal. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan (library research) melalui telaah terhadap karya, biografi, dan literatur tentang tradisi pengajaran Arwani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanad dalam dakwah Arwani berfungsi sebagai sistem transmisi nilai yang menyatukan dimensi keilmuan, moral, dan spiritual melalui praktik talaqqi, mushafahah, dan keteladanan (uswah hasanah). Pendekatan ini membentuk integrasi antara sanad al-‘ilm, sanad al-adab, dan sanad al-amal yang menghasilkan dakwah bil hal yang otentik dan transformatif. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa metode dakwah berbasis sanad relevan sebagai paradigma dakwah kontemporer yang berakar pada tradisi dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter. Implikasinya, model ini dapat direaktualisasi dalam pendidikan dan dakwah digital untuk memperkuat otoritas keilmuan, etika, serta moderasi keulamaan di era modern.
