Lillian Haworth Middaugh Scrapbook 1
A scrapbook compiled by Lillian Naomi Haworth documenting her time at Toledo, Ohio's Glendale-Feilbach School in the 1910s and 1920s. At that time, the school was named the School for Crippled Children and located within Woodward Technical High School on Adams Street and Michigan Avenue. Haworth was the first student to graduate from the school. After graduating, she continued documenting news from the school as well as her involvement with a Toledo Girl Scout troop whose scouts were all persons with disabilities

Areas that EMR may inhabit must be surveyed prior to approving development projects. Therefore, comprehensive, fast, and affordable survey techniques for the EMR are of interest to government and non-government groups. This is particularly evident in Ohio where all known EMR populations are near maintained or expanding road networks. Traditional EMR surveying in Ohio uses visual encounter surveys and artificial cover object arrays. The purpose of this research is to test and refine a new survey technique, the Adapted-Hunt Drift Fence Technique (AHDriFT) and compare it to current EMR survey methods using a cost-benefit analysis. We deployed AHDriFT arrays at 66 fields across seven Ohio Counties over the course of four years, yielding 351 EMR detections at 57 fields. AHDriFT was the most effective and consistent method for detecting massasaugas in Ohio across a broad range of environmental and temporal variables. To achieve these goals, a comprehensive literature review of all studies on the best practices for improving the efficiency and safety of crack sealing installation was conducted. In addition, surveys were performed to gather information from DOTs and local public agencies. Robotic Maintenance Vehicle (RMV) was identified as an equipment that might help improve the efficiency of crack sealing operation and workers safety. However, currently there is not enough information or experience with using this equipment to validate its capabilities or benefits. The results of cost analysis conducted in this study indicated that RMV may result in reducing the cost of crack sealing for ODOT. However, the RMV cost savings depend on several assumptions made that could not be validated at the current time. Therefore, all assumptions made need to be verified before making final conclusions on the RMV cost effectiveness and its benefits to ODO
