Teacher Experiences of In-Service Training Programmes on Curriculum Differentiation and Modification in Inclusive Primary Schools of Capricorn District, Limpopo Province, South Africa
No full textMany teachers struggle with curriculum differentiation and curriculum modification in an inclusive education setting, despite a range of in-service training programmes being offered over recent years. More specifically, several training initiatives have focused on the development of school managers, with the idea of them cascading the information down to the other staff members at school. In this article, we report on teacher experiences of in-service training programmes on curriculum differentiation and modification in inclusive primary schools in the Limpopo Province, South Africa. In undertaking the study, we followed a qualitative approach, adopting a case study design. Two officials from the Inclusive Education section of the Department of Education and six teachers from the Dimamo circuit were purposively selected to take part in the study. Data were generated through semi-structured interviews and document analysis. The generated data were analysed through content analysis. The findings of the study indicate that the participating teachers felt inadequately trained to implement various strategies that may accommodate learners with diverse needs in their classrooms, with school managers not providing feedback to teachers after attending in-service training sessions due to time constraints. As a result, we posit that the current model of teacher empowerment on curriculum differentiation and modification, which takes the form of in-service training programmes, is ineffective. we propose that new strategies should be put in place to better equip teachers in this field through, for example, short learning programmes on curriculum differentiation and modification, resource allocation, and feedback provision

This study determined the effectiveness of hands on activities in improving the performance of kindergarten in two selected schools in the Division of Talisay City and Division of Cebu City for the school year 2022-2023 as basis for a proposed action plan. Through a descriptive-comparative study, survey questionnaires were given to 209 parents and teachers as the respondents across the said two schools and the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and correlational statistics. Results revealed that parents and teacher’s perception in the effectiveness of hands on activities in improving the performance of kindergarten learners are very effective. It was also evident that incorporating hands-on learning into the classroom or into the home is an easy way to show children exactly how they are learning can be used in the real world. There were observed a significant relationship between parents and teacher’s perception in the effectiveness of hands on activities in improving the performance of Kindergarten learners. In conclusion, it’s important to note especially to the parents and teachers that when people hear the word “creativity,” their minds often go immediately to subjects like art and music. While these are of course important classes for children, and should play a role in child’s education. Parents and teachers should be involved in order to manifest learning using the effectivity of hands-on activity. A Non-Randomized Single-Blind Clinical Study to Assess the Utility of Strychnos Nux-Vomica L. in the Management of Patients with Bowel Disorders
Get PDFPurpose: Bowel disorders encompass a cluster of gastrointestinal conditions marked by persistent symptoms like abdominal discomfort, bloating, and changes in bowel patterns. They represent a significant public health concern necessitating increased awareness, diagnosis, and treatment efforts. This research sought to explore the potential of Nux Vomica as a treatment option for individuals suffering from bowel disorders, with the goal of reducing the frequency and intensity of their symptoms to provide optimal relief. Materials and Methods: This research involved 30 individuals diagnosed with bowel disorders according to the Rome IV diagnostic criteria. They received treatment with the homoeopathic remedy Nux Vomica, selected based on a comprehensive assessment of their symptoms. To assess the treatment's effectiveness, the study monitored a reduction in the number of symptoms and quantified improvements using the Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index questionnaire. Results: Statistical analysis was carried out using the Student paired "t" test. Following the therapy, a significant reduction in the number of symptoms was observed, and no adverse effects were documented. On average, the GIQLI score exhibited an improvement of -38.23 ± 13.68 points (t-statistic value: 15.31), while the average decrease in the number of symptoms amounted to 4.03 ± 1.47 points (t-statistic value: 14.99). The resulting "p" value was 0.000, indicating an exceptionally low level of significance upon completion of the study. Conclusion: The homoeopathic remedy Nux Vomica effectively addresses bowel disorders. These results open up new avenues for future research exploring the treatment of bowel disorders with homeopathic medicine

Get PDFThis research proposes to apprehend the debate relating to the risks of tariff modulation in particular at the customers post-purchase behavior in sustainable industry. Each Price modulation generates a different reaction from customers. This reaction can take place on two levels. The first concerns the elasticity of demand with respect to price and the second concerns rather the perception of the service itself. The price elasticity of demand is one of the measures of the effectiveness of marketing actions and helps to understand the state and dynamics of markets. The higher the price, the lower the demand. Moreover, a minority of customers is ready to buy the same service at a higher price. Each price difference translates into a change in demand according to the elasticity. Tariff modulation as a strategic decision must be well studied before its implementation. This is because of its significant impact on the perception of the service, especially as customers link the price to other factors, including quality. To understand how customers perceive the price and consider bringing together services at different prices satisfying the same needs, we are going to conduct a field survey that will focus on the service sector, we are going to test the impact of dissatisfaction with Price modulation on post-purchase behavior and see how it plays a full mediating role between Price modulation and brand detachment. We chose the questionnaire survey method for clients, since it allows us to gather a large number of variables and provide operational measures of qualitative variables. This by using psychometric scales accompanied by attitude scales which make it possible to calculate scores for each respondent. Role of Supply Chain Management in Quality of Healthcare Services

The aim of this paper is to examine the supply chain management of healthcare quality in developing countries, particularly in rural healthcare in Haryana (Kurukshetra), and to consider demographic variables such as gender, age, education level and healthcare experience. Design and Hypothesis Testing Approach Distributed 500 questionnaires to determine the impact of aspects of supply chain management on the quality of health services. 27 of his seven procurement officers and administrative staff in Kurukshetra Haryana. The primary method was to collect data from 73 rural health managers and procurement managers to identify the quality and size of health services. The results of our study show that a combination of timely delivery of health products, specifications, level of health product providers and safety in the rural health sector of Haryana (Kurukshetra) is related to the quality of health services. The scope of this article focuses on employing appropriate human resources and highly trained professionals in supply chain departments to improve the quality of health services in the supply chain. As a practical contribution, this article can help healthcare supply chain managers and organizations do their jobs better or create a competitive advantage by addressing the issues and challenges facing individual healthcare managers, organizations and their partners

The standard dynamical modelling method is used to analyze our dynamical model. The numerical solutions are presented. The basic reproduction value of the disease is found. Correlation Analysis between Tourism Industry and Exchange Rate: A Comparative Study of Korea and the UK during the COVID-19 Era
Get PDFPurpose: This study aims to investigate the correlation analysis between the aviation industry and the exchange rate of South Korea and the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic Era by applying the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model. Theoretical Framework: Research examined the correlation between the aviation industry and exchange rates in South Korea and the UK. Vector Autoregression (VAR) model was developed and daily data from January 01, 2020, to July 05, 2023, were collected from the official website for the research. Design/Methodology/Approach: The paper analyzes relationships among time-series variables using the VAR model. This analysis consisted of four steps, step 1, collecting data; step 2, data preprocessing; step 3, developing VAR model; and step 4, investigation. Findings: The analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between exchange rate fluctuations and the Korean aviation industry. In contrast, the UK aviation industry exhibited a significant negative correlation with exchange rate fluctuations. Research, Practical & Social Implications: This study contributes to existing literature on tourism and exchange rates during the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing the need for comparative analysis. According to the results, this study suggests Airlines can partner with financial institutions to offer financial products for passengers to book at desirable rates. Originality/Value: This paper successfully filled in the gaps in the research by providing a scientific and critical investigation of correlation analysis between the aviation industry and the exchange rate of South Korea and the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic Era
Nutriphytochemical Profiling and Changes in Cardiovascular Risk Index in Malarial Infected Mice Treated with Ethanol Root Extract of Phyllanthus Amarus
Get PDFPurpose: The use of medicinal plants in malarial treatment has become popular in Nigeria, an endemic country, due to failing chemotherapy and high cost of antimalarial drugs. One of such commonly used herbs is Phyllanthus amarus. The antimalarial activity of P. amarus has been consistently reported, giving credence to its traditional use. Nevertheless, effects of such treatment on reducing cardiovascular risk indices is yet to be fully documented. This is imperative since certain metabolic complications like increased plasma lipids have been associated with considerable risks of fatty liver and cardiovascular diseaes in severe cases of malaria in humans. Methods: In this present study, therefore, the antiplasmodial action of the ethanol root extract of P. amarus and its ED50 dose were determined and associated cardiovascular risk indices were evaluated in BALB/c malarial infected mice, having ascertained the nutritive quality and phytochemicals of plant root. Results: Results showed that P. amarus root is abundant in alkaloid phytochemical and the roots extracts demonstrated significant antiplasmodial activity in a dose-dependent trend with optimal ED50 and maximal potency in reducing cardiovascular risk indices (Atherogenic index of plasma, AIP and heart disease risk, HDR) and fatty liver, which compared well with the values obtained from the uninfected control mice. Conclusion: The roots of P. amarus possess a wide array of nutrients and phytochemicals, with significant antimalarial activity. The roots also reduced the risks of cardiovascular diseases associated with severe malaria, in experimental mice. 
Effectiveness Of Education Regarding Stunting Prevention to Cadres: Systematic Literature Review
Get PDFStunting, a disease characterized by prolonged nutritional deficiency during the initial 1,000 days of a newborn's life, continues to be a significant health concern in Indonesia, holding the second highest global prevalence. Ineffective parenting practices, insufficient prenatal care, challenges getting to nutrients and clean water, and infectious illnesses are some of the factors that contribute to childhood stunting. The provision of education to cadres on the prevention of stunting is one of the aspects of stunting prevention that plays a significant role in the process of overcoming the variables which lead to stunting from their underlying causes. Through the transmission of health information, the training that is offered to cadres has the potential to promote public health. This research wants to see how effective stunting education is in increasing cadres' knowledge about stunting prevention. In this study, a systematic literature review was combined with a search for systematic studies using the PRISMA technique, and the search was conducted on two national journal portals. The primary discussion of the study was based on six papers, all of which were investigated with a cross-sectional design that included stunting prevention instruction for cadres. These studies were chosen for the research project. Education with audiovisual media and lecture and discussion techniques has a 70% efficacy rate in expanding cadre knowledge. This is the way with the highest effectiveness rate.
