    Awareness of Toxic and Harmful School Plants and their Prevention and Protection for Learners Against Plant-Causing Emergencies

    The school greening program supports the inculcation among learners with the love of nature since it cultivates among them the significance of plants in making the learning space beautiful and healthy. However, people cannot just bring any beautiful ornamental plants as they please especially to a school campus. Plants ideally possess defense mechanisms to protect themselves from harm. Hence, they develop thorns, spikes, and scents to ward off any potential predators. A piece of knowledge about this plant defense mechanism as well as plants’ toxicity should be instilled among the adults in the learning space, particularly the teachers. Thus, this paper intends to ascertain the level of awareness of public school teachers on toxic and harmful plants commonly found in the classroom or school premises and determine the level of prevention and protection for learners against plant-causing emergencies. Results reveal that the teachers’ awareness particularly on making the learning space safe may have something to do with first aid application in case of emergencies and protecting children. The more the teachers aim to provide a wholesome and safe space for the learners, the more they try to learn and apply first aid as their way of protecting their learners. It is recommended that the school should provide first aid kits with antihistamines and teachers should be provided by the concerned agencies list of plants that may potentially be toxic or harmful to the schoolchildren. Furthermore, school gardening activities must be done with great precautions

    Using Reigeluth’s Model to Increase Achievement and Mathematical Literacy Self-Efficacy for Eleventh Grade Students

    Although mathematical literacy self-efficacy (belief that one can do mathematics) is essential to success in learning mathematics, it is not explicitly addressed in many educational institutions. The current paper used Reigeluth’s Model of increasing achievement and self-efficacy for mathematical literacy. It is one of the educational models that depend on the constructivist theory that contributes to helping the student to link his or her previous information with his or her new experiences. The sample consisted of 141 male and female students in the eleventh grade from Al Nahda School in Dhofar region, Oman. Students in the experimental group (N = 70) received instruction according to the Reigeluth model, and students in the control group (N = 71) received instruction in the traditional way. Students achievement and self-efficacy in mathematical literacy increased significantly more for the experimental group. There was relationship between achievement and self-efficacy on mathematical literacy for the student sample. It is recommended that the mathematics curriculum for all courses of education be prepared according to the Reigeluth model, and that mathematics teachers be trained in modern models for developing the achievement and self-effectiveness of their students’ mathematical literacy

    Preparation and Characterization of Free-Standing Composite Cellulose-Based Carbon Molecular Sieve Membranes

    Abstract: Carbon membranes with excellent strength and mechanical stability were prepared using a cellulose precursor regenerated from an ionic liquid solution with a low loading of boehmite ceramic nanoparticles, ca. 0.1 wt. %. The precursor films show an asymmetrical structure while, after carbonization, the corresponding carbon molecular sieve membranes (c-CMSM) show a dense structure with a uniform thickness of ca. 22 mm. The c-CMSM exhibited excellent separation performance, well above the Robeson Upper Bound. The permeability of the c-CMSM to hydrogen increased from 300 to 530 barrer and the H2/CH4 permselectivity increased to 473, after adding boehmite nanoparticles. Boehmite nanoparticles act as a microporosity-forming agent without compromising the width of the ultramicropores. The prepared c-CMSM is extremely promising for several applications, namely for hydrogen recovery from methane – H2/CH4 (Robeson index: =13.5); biogas upgrading – CO2/CH4 (=6.5); CO2 removal from combustion flue gas – CO2/N2 (=1.7); and hydrogen recovery from ammonia processes – H2/N2 (=4.8)

    This research paper introduces a novel virtual gym assistant leveraging Google's Mediapipe library, designed for diverse multimodal machine learning and deep learning pipelines. The system offers real-time guidance by analyzing user movements during specific exercises using posture estimation algorithms. Developed with Mediapipe's deep algorithms and pose estimation module, the system captures user movements through the identification of body landmarks, facilitating rep counting for each exercise. Angles and landmarks are then processed and transmitted to various machine learning models, enabling the classification of correct postures and reps. Through machine learning algorithms, the system evaluates the accuracy of user-performed reps. Utilizing diverse fitness datasets and custom data, the results demonstrate that the proposed system delivers precise and personalized feedback, enhancing exercise performance and minimizing the risk of injury. Additionally, the system calculates caloric expenditure, providing comprehensive support for users through the Virtual Gym Coach

    Systematic Literature Review on The Use of Narrative Analysis in Language Education Research

    Sociologists and communication theorists have defined narrative analysis as a way to form a social identity as early as the 1980s Barkhuizen, Benson, and Chik (2013). Besides, narrative analysis shares the concept of knowledge transmission, which is a theory that aims to communicate unquantifiable qualities of knowledge like experience and life stories. Nevertheless, it has not been specified how far the narrative analysis has gotten in language education studies due to varied understandings of the term. As a result, it is critical for researchers to conduct a more thorough literature assessment of narrative analysis in this discipline. This study examines the body of literature on narrative analysis in current language education studies. The method employed in this study is a systematic literature review, which includes pre-set criteria in selecting academic publications to be surveyed over a five-year period (1 January 2018 to 31 December 2022) and a qualitative synthesis of the findings. Based on a revised Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) flow, this study arrives at a holistic and systematic assessment of this approach over the last five years to guide future research in language education studies through description and analysis of the titles, abstracts, keywords, and full papers (when necessary) of the selected 10 academic articles out of 234. The main findings are as follows. 1?Narrative analysis is now used to investigate student identity creation and teacher professional development. 2?The majority of the current study's participants are non-English speaking teachers. 3) Typically, the sample size is no more than seven. 4) Text analysis and interviews are the two main research techniques. 5) Speaking and writing are the main topics of the current studies. 6)Due to its ability to elicit unique viewpoints, narrative analysis is used in language education research, but the amount is not high

Therefore, this work focuses on analyzing the effect of depravity over prosperity via citizen satisfaction level (CSL) and prosperity growth indicator (PGI) through spreading questionnaires addressing the productive and service companies in Egypt. The authors link CSL and PGI with minimizing service time and maximizing income parameters respectively and tracking prosperity via non-collinear productivity growth model with threshold effects. Therefore, argue that depravity resultin administrative, technician, and financial failure, which can be controlled by empirical proposed Automated Governance Self-Management (AGSM). The organizations' productivity has been tracked by the development efficiency index (DEI), which reflects depravity resistance level using smart poka-yoke ( ). The responses to the questionnaires discover that administrative depravity has two faces, one emphasizes its benefit on facilitating and speeding up the procedures, while the other is adverse and reduces the economic growth rate. The authors advocate changing administrative policies from centralization to traceable decentralization backed by delegation and economic liberty via controlling all activities according to time

    Systematic Review on WSN Localization using Metaheuristic and Learning Methods Based on AI Techniques

    The localization process in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is carried out for finding the exact position of the sensor node. WSN are applied in various number of applications like monitoring, humidity, hospitality and so on. Hundreds to thousands of nodes in the sensor sense the data to the base station. Thousands of nodes in the WSN makes the installing of Global processing System (GPS). It is more costly and the GPS not provide the exact location in the indoor environment. In spite of dense network, manual configuration is not possible in the indoor environment. This cause a raise in problem to identify the exact position without GPS or any manual configuration methods. This paper presents the methods to overcome the above issues in WSN localization, by path planning, metaheuristic and deep learning are the techniques having high scopes in the industries, mining etc. Many times sensing of data are restricted by accuracy, energy, power and efficiency in the nodes. This paper discuss the WSN localization process classifications and the methodologies in localization. Localization issues are minimized by various techniques like ToA, TDoA and RSSI. The types of localization, its applications are also discussed

    Effect of Comprehensive Nursing Interventions on Quality of life among Women with Stress Urinary Incontinence

    Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) is called a silent epidemic which is not a life threatening condition, but a worldwide problem at the same time which contributes to poor quality of life. Aim: Design, implement comprehensive nursing interventions for adult women with stress urinary incontinence and evaluate the effect of these interventions on improving their quality of life. Quazi experimental research design was utilized to conduct this study. This study was carried out in the Urology and Nephrology Assuit University Hospital and its affiliate Clinic. A sample of 50 adult women, the mean age of studied patients was (42.22±11.84). Two tools were used by the researcher namely: Tool I: A structured interview questionnaire sheet it included two parts, part i: demographic data of patient and part ii: medical& urological data assessment. Tool II: Kings Health Questionnaire (KHQ), it is a standardized questionnaire used to assess the impact of stress urinary incontinence on quality of life. The results showed that the quality of life among adult women with stress urinary incontinence were improved after the implementation of comprehensive nursing interventions with a statistically significance difference (p>0.05) in all quality of life domains. . We conclude that provided comprehensive nursing interventions are effective in improving QOL in adult women with SUI. Given the study results, it is recommended that expand of public education efforts through various methods about importance of health educational interventions for appropriate management of stress urinary incontinence among women

This ambivalence arises from the disconnect between Mapuche students' family-based education and the ignorance of teachers regarding their cultural background.
