To Compare The Two Approaches Of Nerve Flossing Technique On Pain, Lumbar Mobility And Straight Leg Raise In Subjects With Sciatica
Background: Sciatica is one of the most common painful and disabling conditions. Nerve flossing technique commonly called as neural mobilization are the forms of manual therapy that are used in an effort to reduce radiating pain and improve range of motion. A wide range of physical therapy interventions have been proposed to be effective, however the efficacy of neural mobilization technique is still undetermined in developing countries like India. Purpose: A study to compare the two approaches of nerve flossing technique on pain, lumbar mobility and striaght leg raise in subjects with sciatica. Study design: Quasi- Experimental study, comparative in nature Methodology: A total of 45 subjects were selected for the study as per inclusion and exclusion criteria between age group of 20-55 years. Participants were divided into 3 groups of 15 subjects each. Group A (control), Group B (Experimental-1) and Group C (experimental-2). Group A was receive Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), Hydro-collateral pack, Group B was receive slider mobilization (Nerve Flossing Technique) and Group C was receive single joint mobilization on knee (Nerve Flossing Technique). The baseline data was recorded on 1th day (pre- intervention) and 5th day (post-intervention) and then on 10th day (post-intervention). Total 10 sessions per subject was given over 2 weeks i.e., 5 sessions per week. The collected Data was analyzed by using ANOVA and other statistical tests as appropriate Results: The result showed significant improvement in slider mobilization on pain, lumbar mobility and striaght leg raise in subjects with sciatica. Conclusion: The present study concludes that slider mobilization is most effective nerve flossing technique in improving pain, lumbar mobility and striaght leg raise in subjects with sciatica. Influence of Silicon on Oxidation and Adhesion of Oxide Scale on Hot-Rolled Steel Strips
This research focuses on the influence of silicon alloys in hot-rolled steel strips. The steel used in the study was obtained from a hot rolling process with different silicon contents of 0.01, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 wt.%. The as-received oxide scale on the hot-rolled steel surface was completely removed by SiC paper and re-oxidized in a horizontal furnace with an atmosphere of 17% H2O-N2 at temperatures of 600°C, 650°C, and 700°C for 10 seconds. An investigation of scale adhesion can be done using a tensile testing machine with a CCD camera. The adhesion of the oxide scale to the steel surface was recorded on video. The oxide phase was examined by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD). The microstructure and thickness of the oxide scale were examined by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The results indicated that all steels studied produced oxide scales that consisted of hematite (Fe2O3) and magnetite (Fe3O4), which contained iron (Fe). The scale thickness tends to increase with increasing temperature, while thickness decreases with increasing Si content in steel. The oxide scale adhesion was indicated by the strain initiating the first spallation during tensile load. The results showed that the strain initiating the first scale spallation tends to decrease with increasing temperature, while scale adhesion increases with increasing Si content in steel. The mechanical adhesion of the oxide scale to the steel substrate was considered in terms of energy. The results indicate that the scale adhesion of steel with 0.3 wt.% Si was higher than that in another sample. It was possible that the presence of an oxide that contains Si at the scale-steel interface, which encourages scale adhesion. The mechanical adhesion energy of the oxide scale was shown in the range of 2-20 J/m2. The qualitative assessment of scale adhesion in terms of strain initiating the first spallation and mechanical adhesion energy suggested the good adhesion behavior of scale grown in the hot-rolled steel with 0.3 wt.% Si. This result indicates that scale formed on steel with a high silicon content tends to be difficult to remove. There was a need to control the Si content in the hot-rolled steel in a satisfactory way to save energy during the de-scale process
Optimizing Conditions for The Production Process of Cashew Apple Juice (Anacardium Occidentale L.) From Binh Phuoc (Viet Nam) Using Response Surface Methodology (RSM)
Cashew apple is one of the promising food material sources because this fruit contains high nutrtional values. This study aims for developing cashew apple juice into a new beverage and contributing to increase economic value for the byproduct of cashew industry. In this study, by using Reponse surface methodology (RSM), four different factors (juice concentration, %acid, %aroma, Brix) in mixing cashew apple juice product were examined to determine their optimum value in order to obtain the highest acceptance of the final product. The results of performed experiments showed that the combination of juice concentration 36%, acid 0.32%, aroma 0.017% and 13.7oBx gave the highest acceptance (6.925/9)
Defining The Pattern of the Thai Osteoarthritis Movement Data Model
This study proposed an algorithm to identify the patterns of Thai osteoarthritis, a condition that has seen an increase in prevalence in recent years, significantly affecting patients' quality of life and mobility. We aimed to define the data patterns for analysis. For data collection, we employed a Razor-IMU sensor and a WIFI transmitter, allowing testers to independently perform full-range knee motions. Data collection was categorized into two groups: healthy and unhealthy. Our goal was to categorize the data and establish criteria for pattern classification. Once the patterns and criteria were established, our objective was to validate movement models for both normal individuals and osteoarthritis patients. To achieve this, we conducted statistical hypothesis testing to verify the accuracy of the data. This testing comprised three main steps: first, evaluating the accuracy of data collection and data cleaning. Second, assessing the precision of converting data from linear to angular format, including degree coordinates selection. The last, Evaluating the accuracy of data sorting and grouping using Louvain clustering. The researcher thoroughly scrutinized each step to confirm the results. Each step demonstrated an accuracy test As Thailand transitions into an aging society, the prevalence of osteoarthritis is increasing due to the natural deterioration of the body. This deterioration can be decelerated by avoiding risky behaviors. Osteoarthritis significantly impacts patients' physical and mental well-being, making it a critical health concern. The objective of this research is to develop movement prototypes for both normal individuals and osteoarthritis patients by leveraging computer knowledge. This includes data collection with motion sensor devices, enhancing data quality using data mining techniques such as data cleaning and data transformation into suitable formats, and grouping of data. Additionally, the study seeks to validate the accuracy of the algorithm using statistical hypothesis testing methods and graph pattern detection. Based on the experimental results, an accuracy rate of 97% was achieved, demonstrating a high level of reliability. This prototype can be applied in treatment analysis, monitoring treatment outcomes, and even injury prevention. Furthermore, the dataset can serve as a model for the Thai population and can be expanded to accommodate larger datasets.  
A study of Basic Financial Knowledge among women working in service sector of Delhi
The study titled Assessment of Basic Financial Knowledge among Women in the Service Sector examines the financial literacy of 390 women in Delhi's service sector. Employing a descriptive survey method and snowball sampling, the research employs a self-constructed questionnaire, the "Financial Literacy Tool for Working Women," divided into demographic information (Section A) and financial competence assessment (Section B). Results indicate a moderate level of basic financial knowledge among respondents, revealing gaps in areas such as risk and return concepts, types of bank accounts, portfolio management, and time value of money. The study categorizes respondents into medium (72.8%), high (13.6%), and low (13.6%) basic financial knowledge levels. Despite an average score of 13.3 out of 19, highlighting a good understanding of financial basics, the research underscores the need for targeted interventions to address specific knowledge gaps. Findings align with previous studies, emphasizing the gap between financial education and practical decision-making. In conclusion, the study provides insights into the financial literacy of women in Delhi's service sector, recommends strategies for improvement, and emphasizes the importance of tailored interventions to enhance financial confidence
The Role of Herbal Medicine in Oxidative Stress: Prevention of Diabetes
The pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus is heavily influenced by oxidative stress, which is defined by an imbalance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antioxidant defenses. Innovative methods for managing and preventing diabetes are required given that it is a growing worldwide health concern. Herbal medicine, which has a long history of use in traditional therapeutic methods, has drawn interest for its ability to reduce the incidence of diabetes and combat oxidative stress. The processes underpinning the damage caused by ROS to cellular components and signaling pathways are revealed in this chapter as it delves into the complex interactions between oxidative stress and diabetes. The essential function of antioxidant substances in reducing oxidative stress is investigated, emphasizing the change from traditional herbal knowledge to contemporary scientific validation. The botanical substances that provide a source of inorganic antioxidants are at the center of this discussion. Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) and Bitter Melon (Momordica charantia), two important medicinal herbs, are investigated for their strong antioxidant capacities and their capacity to modify glucose homeostasis and insulin sensitivity.Scientific studies, including in vitro experiments and clinical trials, shed light on how well herbal treatments for diabetes prevention actually work. Additionally, the beneficial effects of herbal combinations are clarified, as well as the importance of combining these interventions with lifestyle changes. The fusion of herbal medicine and conventional therapies appears as a promising route for diabetes prevention as the movement toward holistic health gains popularity. In conclusion, this chapter underscores the multifaceted potential of herbal medicine in addressing oxidative stress as a crucial factor in diabetes prevention. By embracing the wisdom of ancient traditions and leveraging contemporary scientific insights, herbal interventions offer a holistic and integrative strategy to safeguard against the escalating global burden of diabetes
Growth Performance of Goat Fed with Indigofera (Indigofera suffruticosa Mill.) and Super Napier (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach x Pennisetm Glaucoma L.)
It still needs to be thoroughly determined how to incorporate various pasture mixes at varying amounts in goat diets. Fewer farmers are feeding goats varied concentrations of Indigofera and super Napier grass, although many have already practiced incorporating different pasture types into the goats' regular grazing routines. The study aimed to determine how various Indigofera and Super Napier combinations affected goat growth, morphometry, and carcass parameters. A completely randomized design (CRD) was used to conduct the trial, with six treatments replicated four times, with Treatments 1 and 6 acting as a control. The Tukey HSD test performed multiple means comparisons across several treatments. Goats that were fed with 100% Indigofera, 80% Super Napier + 20% Indigofera, and 100% Super Napier significantly outgrew their size, as seen by their final weights of 16.93 kg, 16.68 kg, and 16.57 kg, respectively (3.16 kg, 2.90 kg and 2.67 kg, respectively). Combinations of 60% super Napier + 40% Indigofera and 70% super Napier + 30% Indigofera have a substantial impact on the amount of feed consumed (1.71 kg), whereas 60% super Napier + 40% Indigofera has a considerable impact on the goat's feed efficiency (0.60 and 0.76, respectively). Following a 60-day experiment, 100% Indigofera also had an impact on the chest circumference (57.20 cm), loin eye area (11.66 cm2), gastrointestinal contents (2.90 kg), hot carcass weight (6.72 kg), cold carcass weight (6.45%), pluck weight (0.68 kg), the weight of total trimmable fats (0.33 kg), and the percentage weight of total trimmable fats (2.02%). Additionally, 70% super Napier + 30% Indigofera, 80% SN+20% Indigofera, 70% SN + 30% Indigofera, and 60% SN + 40% Indigofera are suggested by these data
General English Module Development at USN Kolaka
It was determined that teaching English a s a compulsory subject at USN Kolaka did not adequately assist the realization of the institution's 2039 goal. In addition to the varying perceptions of lecturers' professionalism among lecturers, it is a result of lack of standardized teaching materials. In order to provide standardized teaching materials, it was required to carefully to developed general English module based on the needs of students. To fulfill the needs, the researcher developed the learning module through MPI which is an adaptation model from Dick and Carey development model. This study showed that the product of this current study is able to used at USN Kolaka. However, further research is recommended for improvement
