The USE OF DIGITAL COMICS IN TORNADO MITIGATION FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS: Original Article
Children are a vulnerable group in the face of disasters due to their age and limited knowledge. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital comic education on the preparedness of elementary school students in facing tornado disasters. The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental pre-test post-test with control group design on 90 elementary school students (46 in the intervention group and 44 in the control group). The intervention group received digital comics education (PDF), while the control group received education using PowerPoint media. Preparedness was measured using a questionnaire and tested using a paired t-test (α≤0.05). The results showed that 84.8% of elementary school students were in the less prepared category before intervention and increased to nearly prepared at 69.6% and prepared at 28.3% after education using digital comics. There was an impact of both digital comic and PowerPoint media education on increasing the preparedness of elementary school students (p=0.001; p=0.001) with an average mean increase of 11.46 and 7.89, respectively. There was a difference in post-test preparedness between the control and intervention groups (p=0.019). Digital comics proved to be more effective in increasing the preparedness of elementary school students in facing tornado disasters compared to PowerPoint medi

DETERMINANTS OF HYPERTENSION OCCURRENCE
Hypertension stands as a primary peril for cardiovascular ailments, potentially culminating in fatalities by inducing complications like heart disease, stroke, and kidney issues. This study scrutinizes the prevalence and risk factors associated with hypertension at Puskesmas Kedungrejo Muncar, Banyuwangi, spotlighting age and body mass index (BMI) as pivotal predictors. Employing a descriptive analytic method with a cross-sectional design, data was gathered through purposive sampling from 64 individuals. Findings unveil a significant correlation between advancing age and hypertension, aligning with previous research attributing this link to deteriorating cardiovascular function and arterial stiffness. Meanwhile, gender and educational attainment emerged as non-significant predictors, contrasting with the notable influence of BMI, with hypertensive individuals often exhibiting a normal BMI. These results accentuate the necessity of comprehending modifiable risk factors like BMI and emphasize the requisite for targeted interventions to combat hypertension in the community. Prevention and management endeavors ought to prioritize age-related considerations and initiatives aimed at fostering healthy BMI levels
THE EFFECT OF SLOW DEEP BREATHING ON CHANGES IN BLOOD PRESSURE OF THE ELDERLY WITH HYPERTENSION
Hypertension was an increased in systolic and diastolic blood pressure above normal limits. Age is a factor in hypertension, in old age there is a narrowing of blood vessels resulting in an increase in blood pressure. Treatment of hypertension can be done non-pharmacologically, one of which is slow deep breathing. This study aims to determine the effect of slow deep breathing on blood pressure changes in elderly people with hypertension. The research design used was Pre-Experimental with the One Group Pretest- Posttest Design. The population in this study were all elderly people with hypertension in Garu Hamlet, Podoroto Village, Kec. Kesamben Kab. Jombang as many as 34 elderly. The sample in this study were 34 respondents with the total sampling technique. The research instrument uses a digital sphygmomanometer to measure blood pressure. The results of the Paired T-Test analysis show p value = 0.000 <α 0.05. These results indicate that there is an effect of slow deep breathing on blood pressure changes in the elderly with hypertension in Garu Hamlet, Podoroto Village, Kesamben District, Jombang Regency. Slow deep breathing stimulates the release of endorphins, thereby reducing sympathetic nervous activity and increasing parasympathetic nervous activity which causes a relaxing effect and causes a decrease in blood pressure
EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SELF-HELP GROUP (SHG) METHOD ON BLOOD PRESSURE IN PRODUCTIVE WOMEN WITH HYPERTENSION
Productive women are an age group that is vulnerable to experiencing health problems. This problem increases as a person gets older. The increase in age experienced by productive women causes all systems and functions to decline. This shows that hypertension sufferers\u27 awareness of taking medication is still low. So this can be minimized with community empowerment activities, one of which is a self-help group (SHG). The aim of this research is to determine the effect of self help group (SHG) on the blood pressure of productive women with hypertension. The design used was "Quasi experimental pre-post test with control group" with Self Help Group intervention. The sampling method was purposive sampling with a sample of 48 women. Self Help Group is measured using SOP, and a blood pressure measuring device.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ERLY INITIATION BREASTFEEDING ON INTRANATAL MOTHER TO DEVELOPE BOUNDING ATTACHMENT IN MOJOKERTO: The Implementation Of Early Initiation Breastfeeding on Intra Natal Mother to Develope Bonding Attachment
Early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) is the first time for baby to learn to breastfeed at the first hour of life outside the womb. The warmth of the mother’s breast when the baby is placed on the mother chest, will make the baby feel the vibration of love. Edmond (2006) in Ghana proved breastfeed infants be given a chance in the first hour, and left skin contact with the mother (at least for an hour), it can prevent infant mortality by 22%. Research design using analitytical methods with one shot case study approach. PARENTAL SUPPORT FOR EARLY CHILDREN SUFFERING PICKY EATING
The nutritional status of children is crucial for promoting optimal growth and development. Picky food is one of the obstacles to achieving optimal nutritional status. Children who suffer from selective eating will develop the habit of selecting particular foods to consume and rejecting others. The purpose of this research is to examine familial assistance for children who suffer from picky eating. This study is a component of qualitative research that employs in-depth interviews with parents serving as informants. Additionally, observations were conducted on subjects, specifically children who exhibited picky feeding behavior. To gather data regarding selective eating, the Child\u27s Eating Behavior Questionnaire (CEBC) was utilized. The subjects of the study were selected using a technique known as purposive sampling, in accordance with the research criteria: early infancy age, picky eating, and informant willingness to participate. A total of ten informants were acquired. Picky eaters are children who have developed the ingrained habit of declining novel food items. Children are fond of the flavor and texture of particular dishes. Children have a tendency to prefer the same foods and are unwilling to attempt new variations. The subjects of the study were five infants (fifty percent each) with excessive and normal nutrition. Children who exhibit picky feeding tend to select nutrient-poor, high-fat foods, resulting in overnutrition. The fact that certain foods cause fluctuating preferences in some children has no bearing on BB and TB. In response to a child\u27s dislike of food, parents discontinue nourishment. When children exhibit a reluctance to try new cuisines, their parents attempt to console them without altering the food\u27s appearance. Snacks are frequently provided to children who decline to consume staple foods. Support from parents is correlated with the food behavior of children who suffer from picky eating. Parents are encouraged to address this issue by selecting foods that meet the nutritional requirements of their children
