The smooth process of lactation or the production and release of breast milk is influenced by breast care, frequency of breastfeeding, mother\u27s psychology, mother\u27s health, and contraception. The decrease in milk production is also caused by a lack of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin which play a role in the lactation process. This study aims to determine the effect of BOM method on milk production in post partum mothers. Quasy experimental research design with a Static Group Comparison approach. The population in this study were all post partum mothers in the Working Area of the Melonguane Public Health Center, Talaud Islands Regency in December 2022-January 2023 as many as 34 people. Data collection used purposive sampling, so that a sample of 32 people was obtained. The research instrument used the SOP for the BOM method and a checklist for breast milk production. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney Test. The results showed that all milk production in the intervention group was good, as many as 16 respondents (100%), while in the control group, most were good, as many as 9 respondents (56.3%). The results of the Mann Whitney test showed that the p value (0.000) < ???? (0.05) so that Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted, meaning The BOM method has been proven to increase milk production in Post Partum Mothers so as to increase the degree of optimal growth and development for bab

Arthritis gout is a disease caused by a purine metabolism disorder characterized by hyperuricemia and recurrent attacks of acute synovitis causing severe pain in the joint area. One of the treatments for gout arthritis with non-pharmacological therapy is acupressure and warm red ginger hydrotherapy which is able to relax muscles, increase blood circulation, and can stimulate the effector system causing peripheral vasodilation so that blood flow to tissues is smooth, especially tissues that are inflamed so that it can reduce inflammation joint pain. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the combination of acupressure on the hegu and taixi with red ginger hydrotherapy as a complementary nursing intervention in reducing pain in gouty arthritis sufferers. Quantitative research with true experiment approach pre and post-test control group design involving 30 respondents divided into intervention group (n=10) given acupressure and red ginger hydrotherapy, while control group 1 (n=10) was given acupressure and control group 2 (n =10) was given red ginger hydrotherapy. The sampling technique used probability sampling with simple random sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then the research results were analyzed using parametric tests, namely Paired t test, ANOVA test and Post Hoc Bonferroni test. The ANOVA test showed a significant value of p = 0.000 (<0.05), while the Post Hoc Bonferroni test showed that between the intervention group and control 1 there was a difference with a significant value of p = 0.001, between the intervention group and control 2 there was a difference in the value significant p=0.005 and between control group 1 and control 2 there was no difference with a significant value of p=1,000. There was a difference between the intervention group, control group 1 and control group 2, which means that the administration of acupressure at the hegu and taixi with red ginger hydrotherapy was more effective in reducing pain in gouty arthritis patients than acupressure and red ginger hydrotherapy alone

    Get PDF
Mastitis is inflammation of the breast that may be caused by a bacterial infection. Infection is a phenomenon that often occurs in breastfeeding mothers, mastitis certainly requires immediate and appropriate treatment, and mastitis that is not handled properly can affect breastfeeding. This study aims to review the management of mastitis. Delayed, inappropriate and inadequate treatment of mastitis can lead to recurrence, more extensive breast lesions, and even tissue damage. Mastitis is most common in the second and third weeks postpartum, with most reports indicating that 74% to 95% of cases occur within the first 12 weeks. However, it can occur at any stage of lactation, including the second year. Mastitis and breast abscess occur in all populations, whether the mother is breastfeeding or not. The reported incidence varies from a few to 33% of breastfeeding women but is usually under 10%. The results show that clinical observation that mastitis is caused by stagnation of milk in the breast, and that efficient ejection of milk as it forms can largely prevent the condition (Gunther, 1958). Therefore, breastfeeding contests are the most important part of mastitis treatment, and in cases of mastitis, breastfeeding should still be given with the correct breastfeeding technique. Antibiotics and symptomatic treatment can make a woman feel better temporarily, but if the milk output is not corrected, the condition can get worse or even if antibiotics are given

    Get PDF
Exclusive breast milk is breast milk given to infants from birth for 6 months, without adding from/or replacing other foods and drinks (except medicine, vitamins, and minerals). Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy is the biggest factor that can influence the process of breastfeeding and the success of exclusive breastfeeding. One of the solutions that can help improve breastfeeding self-efficacy is to apply Hypnobreastfeeding. The type of research is quantitative with a pre-experimental research design in the form of a one-group pretest and posttest design, which assesses the effect of Hypnobreastfeeding on Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy on postpartum mothers in the postpartum room of RSUD Kudungga. The sampling technique was taken using consecutive sampling of 23 people. Based on the results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon test, a p value of 0.000 was obtained. Thus p = 0.000 is smaller than the error rate used at the α = 0.05 level. Mothers who breastfeed When they have the belief that their milk is lacking and not enough for the baby, then this belief will be embedded in the subconscious, and the mother will experience what she believes. Hypnobreastfeeding can neutralize these negative recordings for reprogramming by incorporating a positive intention or attitude towards self-confidence to be able to provide breast milk to their babies and believe that milk production is sufficient according to the needs of the baby. It can be concluded that Hypnobreastfeeding does affect the breastfeeding self-efficacy for postpartum mothers in the postpartum room at RSUD Kudungga
