HOW DOES THE THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION OF MIDWIVES AFFECT THE SATISFACTION OF PREGNANT MOTHERS IN RECEIVING ANTENATAL CARE (ANC) SERVICES
Communication plays a vital role in influencing patient satisfaction, which is the primary responsibility of healthcare providers. The success of healthcare facilities and services in meeting patient expectations can increase the likelihood of patients returning to use those services, while mismatches may prompt patients to seek better facilities or feel disappointed. This study aims to assess the relationship between therapeutic communication by midwives and the satisfaction of pregnant women in antenatal care (ANC) services at Kalibalangan Public Health Center in North Lampung. The research method involves a cross-sectional approach with simultaneous measurement of independent and dependent variables in 52 randomly selected pregnant women. Statistical analysis using the Chi Square test shows significance (p) of 0.002 < 0.05 (p < α). From these results, it is concluded that therapeutic communication aims to obtain shared learning experiences to improve patients\u27 emotional experiences. There is a significant relationship between therapeutic communication by midwives and maternal satisfaction, hence pregnant women are advised to pay attention to their pregnancy condition by attending ANC regularly and consistently visiting the Public Health Center

This is very important and needs to be taken into account considering that several cases of maternal and infant deaths are due to not being detected early. The aim of this research is to analyze factors that influence the length of the first stage of labor.
This research is analytical research by processing secondary data using a case control approach. The population in this study was all mothers giving birth in January-December 2022 at the Sumber Glagah Regional Hospital, Mojokerto, totaling 130 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The statistical test used is the Spearman Rank test.
The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between the mother giving birth and the mother\u27s age with a value of p: 0.005 (OR=41), there was a relationship between pregnancy spacing and the first stage lengthened p: 0.004 (OR=10), there was a relationship between parity and the first stage lengthened p : 0.004 (OR=6), there is a relationship between the baby\u27s weight and the first stage of prolongation p : 0.005 (OR=45).
From the research results, it is hoped that health workers can pay attention to risk factors in pregnancy that influence the birthing process. Application of maternal care to speed up the birthing proces

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN SMOKING BEHAVIOUR AND THE BODY MASS INDEX IN RELATION TO THE INCIDENCE OF KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS IN THE ELDERLY, UTILIZING THE WESTERN ONTARIO AND MASTER INDEX
Osteoarthritis is a progressive condition affecting the joints, where there is an accumulation of cellular stress, breakdown of the extracellular matrix, and gradual deterioration of the articular cartilage. This leads to the bones rubbing against each other, causing pain, stiffness, and impaired mobility. The Kwanyar Community Health Center documented a total of 194 instances of knee osteoarthritis between July and September 2022. The objective of this research is to examine the correlation between body mass index and smoking habits, as well as the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis in older individuals, using the Western Ontario and McMaster index. The study design employs analytics using a cross-sectional methodology. The survey had a total of 86 participants. There were 54 responders from whom samples were obtained. The sample approach employs probability sampling with the Simple Random sample technique. The data collecting method employs a questionnaire form. The statistical analysis employs the Spearman Rank test with a significance level of 0.05. The ethical testing of this study has been conducted by the KEPK STIKes Ngudia Husada Madura team. The study findings indicate that the analysis is conducted using the Spearman Rank statistical test, yielding a significant result (p=0.000) which is lower than the significance level (a=0.05). It may be inferred that there is a correlation between body mass index and smoking habits in connection to the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis in older individuals, as measured by the Western Ontario and McMaster index. For the aged, it is advisable to enhance their body mass index and modify their smoking habit as a preventive measure against knee osteoarthritis. The study aims to investigate the correlation between the respondents\u27 understanding of body mass index and smoking habits, and the occurrence of knee osteoarthritis in older individuals
