Tenshou Era Wars and the Establishment of Modern Koyasan Temple's Territory
Koyasan surrendered to Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI's invasion of Kishu in Tenshou 13 (1583).However, it was deprived of a wide range of Kishu's territory.Ogo MOKUJIKI is said to have played a great role in this event. Thereafter, Hideyoshi continued to rule Koyasan. Koyasan as a feudal lord governed and administered Kishu's territory, and survived into the early modern society until the Meiji Restoration7KJ00006117599研究論文Research paperjournal articl
Apocalyptism in "Gundam Seed Destiny"
This article is an analysis of the popular,`Gundam Seed Destiny',focusing on Apocalyptism. It is certain that these descriotions of the `end'of history insinuate the contemporary setback of the idea of the ever progressing World. However such Apocalyptism is difficult in taking deep root in Japan, where human life has been imbued with Orientel pantheism and the evernally returning time.In this respect,`Gundam Seed Destiny'calls our serious attention,as it clearly shows the Japanese Eschatology.2KJ00006220539論文journal articl
Who Owns the "Natural Heritage" ? Who Is the Nature of Yakushima Island For ?
I was born on Yakushima Island, moved to Kagoshima in junior high school, then Tokyo for university. I have a dual identity and perspective regarding Yakushima: that of a student studying sociology, a stranger; and that of a native islander and one concerned. Whenever I return to the island I notice that it is changing, and I am ambivalent about the labeling of Yakushima as a Natural Heritage site.People have constructed a perspective about nature-against civilization, urbanization and human life-and only through this do we realize the value of nature. I was proud when Yakushima was registered as a Natural Heritage site, but it feels now that when Yakushima is discussed, it has become an island whose heritage is to be shared among human beings around the world.Throughout its history, the island came to be valued by outsiders, not just the islanders. In ancient Japan, it was used as a base port for trade with China. The economic value of the island's Yaku-cedar trees was then discovered by the Shimazu family and further exploited by a third group, the Japanese Government, which legally took over the island about 120 years ago and prohibited islanders from cutting the cedars while profiting greatly from the venture themselves. The conservation movement of nature resists the "world economy system" but paradoxically it brings too many tourists to Yakushima. With the development of public transport and mass media, people today believe that they have the right to go anywhere at anytime, but too many people with no common knowledge role or regard for rural places are visiting Yakushima. The native islanders have little chance to play an important role in the history of their homeland, and are only now learning about the value of their plants and animals to the outside world. It appears that there are three perspectives on the island. From a global and academic perspective the island is an important heritage site for people in modern society; from the Japanese national perspective the island is a national property; from the perspective of people who live there as islanders, the island is our home.4KJ00006220619論文journal articl
A Preliminary Study about Buddhist Views of the Afterlife : An Application to Early Childhood Education
This paper aims to survey Japanese traditional views of the afterlife, focusing on some famous Buddhist sutras and thought. Furthermore, I try to apply these ideas which I obtained through this study to early childhood education. At first, I grasp an opinion from T. Umehara about a view of death in Japan. Then, after having a look at studies by A. Hirata and K. Yanagita, I examine the differences among primitive Buddhist sutras, Mahayanistic ones, and Japanese ones. This study brings out some topics; (1) differences between Japanese indigenous view of the afterlife and Buddhist one, (2) differences between original Buddhist view of the afterlife and Japanese Buddhist one, (3) the Japanese ethos of life. After considering these topics, I point out the importance of these views of the afterlife in early childhood education.13KJ00006221000論文journal articl
About the health care for the infectious disease in the junior college : Preventive action for new influenza A (H1N1)
In late years, the mass outbreak of the "measles" patient was conveyed in the universities of Kanto area mainly, and it caused the closure of school successively.Through the spread of this measles, the preventive correspondence to infectious disease, such as antibody inspection and vaccination, came to be demanded in not only children but also university students.New influenza A (H1N1) which occurred in Mexico in this March speeded all over the world, and WHO declared the caution as six phase of pandemic on June 12, 2009.The virus was brought into island Japan equally in the beginning of May, and the infection opens now for eight months. We had the report of the infecte in our college in the beginning of September and a few outbreaks were watched, but afterwards it doesn't lead to the closure of school. In the spot of group education, the safe management and the crisis control predicting various infections is demanded today. So, we looked back on the precaution of infectious disease in this college and considered about the making of system which corresponds to more demand for new infectious diseases. In late years, as for the outbreak of infectious disease in the school, such as revival of tuberculosis, group lunch infection by O157 and SARS of new infectious disease etc., the correspondence to the crisis control became the important matter of the school.8KJ00006220899論文journal articl
Teaching Method about Aqueous Solutions for Each School:Kindergartens, Primary Schools"Science & Life Environment Studies",Junior High Schools and Senior High Schools : Especially paying attention to the `grain' concept
Though the word `solution' is a concept expressing familiar phenomena around us, very few people use it correctly. For example, when I ask one of upper-grade children from a primary school a question: `What is a melting or dissolving thing?', the answer is `sugar,' `salt,' `boric acid,' `aluminum,' `iron,' `oxygen,' `ice cream,' `candy,' `toilet paper,' `glass' and so on. We can't distinguish between `melting' and `dissolving' so easily. That's why we use the word "dissolving" when something makes the shape broken. There are some senior high school students or some university students who can't understand the meaning of transparence and uniformity of solutions correctly. Some students think the dissolving things are so heavy that they go down to the bottom of the water after a long time. Therefore, we decided to research the growing stages about the `dissolving' concept. Concretely, we make teaching plans about schools from kindergartens to senior high schools. We also argue better teaching methods on every situation of every school.9KJ00006220919論文journal articl
Allergy and Anti-allergic Foods
In this review, I summarized the mechanism of allergy and some anti-allergy foods and food compositions. An allergy is a social concern in today's Japan. It is mentioned about allergic disease mechanism, and about anti-allergy foods, lactic ferments, oligosaccharide, apple, tomato, carrot, etc.The physiological function of food isn't strong like medicine for allergy. But, food is safe and there is no side effect and it can be taken every day. That is the factor that it pays attention to foods.15KJ00006221039論文journal articl
