Exploring the assessments of older people regarding social policies and citizen rights in the digital public sphere: A cyber-ethnography exercise in a Facebook group of retirees and retirees (Argentina, 2019)
Get PDFIn the participation of elderly people in social networks, we can find some clues about their valuations regarding social policies and citizenship rights. With that goal in mind, during the third quarter of 2019 we carried out a cyber-anthropology exercise in a Facebook group of retirees. This article summarizes the results obtained. It is structured in four large parts. In the first, we present the methodological strategy used, proposing a general characterization of cyber-anthropology. In the second, we conducted a preliminary analysis of the Facebook group under study. In the third, we summarize the reforms made during the Mauricio Macri government (2015-2019) on the social protection system for old age. In the fourth, we analyze the valuations of the elderly and their demands and expectations in relation to the public.
La participación de las personas mayores en las redes sociales puede brindarnos algunas claves para conocer sus valoraciones respecto de las políticas sociales y los derechos de ciudadanía. Con dicho objetivo en mente, durante el tercer trimestre de 2019 llevamos adelante un ejercicio de ciber-antropología en un grupo de Facebook de jubiladas y jubilados. El presente artículo resume los resultados obtenidos. Se estructura en cuatro grandes partes. En la primera, presentamos la estrategia metodológica utilizada, proponiendo una caracterización general de la ciber-antropología. En la segunda, realizamos un análisis preliminar del grupo de Facebook bajo estudio. En la tercera, sintetizamos las reformas efectuadas durante el gobierno de Mauricio Macri (2015-2019) sobre el sistema de protección social a la vejez, en tanto dan cuenta del contexto en el que se crea el grupo de Facebook en cuestión. En la cuarta, analizamos las valoraciones de las personas mayores y sus demandas y expectativas en relación a lo público.
 
Los caporales de Angamarca, tradiciones culturales simbólicas: Contexto histórico geográfico
Get PDFEl estudio analiza las tradiciones culturales simbólicas de la fiesta de los caporales de Angamarca y la interpretación del recorrido que combina elementos como la vestimenta, música, danza de los primeros aborígenes del territorio ecuatoriano. El interés, aportar a las memorias culturales fundamentadas en el arte, tradición y cultura resaltando su importancia y singularidad, donde es substancial enfocarse en los angamarqueños como sujetos de estudio social para tomar en cuenta su autenticidad, costumbres y creencias como causa de transformación social. Para ello se utiliza como metodología la investigación descriptiva y etnográfica, con enfoque cualitativo social y cultural tomando como referente la técnica de la observación participante. En función de lo expuesto, se concluye que la fiesta de los caporales de Angamarca representa un proceso de lucha en oposición al esclavismo con una mixtura de creencias religiosas, las mismas que se mantienen en continuidad de sus fiestas conservando el aspecto identitario colectivo asociado a la marcada simbología que expresa. Además, refleja la vinculación comunitaria que con el pasar del tiempo se ha modificado pero que, en cuyas prácticas, se aprecia absoluto respeto por sus tradiciones y símbolos relacionados a ritos sagrados como el caso expuesto.The study analyzes the symbolic cultural traditions of the feast of the caporales of Angamarca and the interpretation of the route that combines elements such as clothing, music, dance of the first aborigines of the Ecuadorian territory. The interest is to contribute to cultural memories based on art, tradition and culture, highlighting their importance and uniqueness, where it is substantial to focus on angamarqueños as subjects of social study to take into account their authenticity, customs and beliefs as a cause of social transformation. For this, descriptive and ethnographic research is used as a methodology, with a qualitative social and cultural approach, taking the technique of participant observation as a reference. Based on the foregoing, it is concluded that the feast of the caporales of Angamarca represents a process of struggle in opposition to slavery with a mixture of religious beliefs, the same that are maintained in continuity of their festivals, preserving the collective identity aspect associated with the marked symbology that expresses. In addition, it reflects the community bond that has changed over time but, in whose practices, absolute respect is appreciated for its traditions and symbols closely related to sacred rites such as the case described
Land Takings: advances of a historical, geographic, socio-demographic and urban description of Ledesma, Jujuy.
Get PDFThis article investigated how demographic and urban evolution had an impact on housing problems in Libertador General San Martin, Ledesma province of Jujuy. For this, a bibliographic review was carried out and the relationship of this city with the sugar mill and the data provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Census-Argentina and the Provincial Directorate of Statistics and Census-Jujuy, based on the censuses, were taken into account. nationals of 2001 and 2010, for a later sociodemographic analysis and a reconstruction of its history regarding its urbanization. The results showed that the great demographic growth of the sugar city, as a result of migration, caused a mismatch between the number of inhabitants and the supply of minimal quality housing, causing overcrowding and deplorable living conditions for hundreds of families. As a consequence of the problems related to access to land, it was evident that there were struggles for urban land, expressed in land grabs, where this mechanism was the alternative that families found to be able to face the concentration of property and the housing insufficiency that afflicts them for a long time ago and continues in force today, and to highlight the precariousness of public policies on this issue.En este artículo se investigó como la evolución demográfica y urbana repercutió sobre la problemática habitacional en Libertador General San Martin, Ledesma provincia de Jujuy. Para ello, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica y se tuvo en cuenta la relación de esta ciudad con el ingenio azucarero y los datos arrojados por Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo- Argentina y la Dirección Provincial de Estadística y Censo- Jujuy, basados en los censos nacionales del 2001 y del 2010, para un posterior análisis sociodemográfico y una reconstrucción de su historia con respecto a su urbanización. Los resultados arrojaron que el gran crecimiento demográfico de la ciudad azucarera, producto de la migración, provocó un desajuste entre el número de habitantes y la oferta de viviendas de calidad mínima, originando hacinamiento y deplorables condiciones de vida de centenares de familias. Como consecuencia a la problemática vinculada al acceso a la tierra, se evidencio que se produjeron luchas por la tierra urbana, expresadas en tomas de tierras, donde este mecanismo fue la alternativa que encontraron las familias para poder hacerle frente a la concentración de la propiedad y la insuficiencia habitacional que les aqueja desde mucho tiempo atrás y continúa vigente en la actualidad, y para poner en evidencia la precariedad de las políticas públicas de esta temática
