Monetary Integration Challenges in Asia-Pacific Region
Get PDFMonetary integration in Asia has been a hot topic for years. Proponents justify regional cooperation by proving a range of benefits. The importance of their arguments stems from the fact that exchange rate instability plagues Asian countries. The competitiveness of Asian economies, which are export-oriented, relies on exchange rates. In the past, macroeconomic stability was achieved through the use of hard pegs. However, the costs of fixed rates called for alternative solutions. Instead, for national regimes in the Asia-Pacific region it may be feasible to introduce a common basket peg, or even a common currency, to cope with exchange rate-related problems. Successful management of regional policy may lead to an Asian Monetary Union and would not be easy. Not only must economies converge, but a great deal of political will and solidarity would be required. This paper discusses alternative solutions and offers a correlation analysis of business cycles showing the current situation in Asia.departmental bulletin pape
Sexual Identities in the Language Classroom
Get PDFThe reality is that sexual identities are silent or being silenced in many language classrooms as a result of many complex reasons. However, studies that look into identities as they relate to language education have found that this reality can in fact be a major disservice to all students in their language learning as a whole. Consequently, it is argued that it is crucial for language educators to increase their knowledge and awareness about the topic. To help facilitate this process, this paper aims to (1) define how identities, specifically sexual identities, relate to language learning (2) highlight some negative experiences of queer students in their language classrooms (3) explain how this situation detrimentally affects queer and non-queer students alike (4) discuss the steps the field has taken to address the situation and (5) provide some suggestions on how language educators can foster a safe and equitable learning environment for all. Get PDF：平成 29 年度告示で幼稚園教育要領、保育所保育指針、幼保連携型認定こども園教育・保 育要領の 3 つの指針・要領が平成 29 年 3 月 31 日、厚生労働省・文部科学省・内閣府から告 示された。この 3 つの指針・要領とも、平成 30 年 4 月 1 日より実施される。 幼稚園教育要領が前身の「保育要領」から昭和 31 年に制定され、時代と共にどのような 内容に変わってきたのかについて述べている。また領域「環境」に着目し、制定当初、6 領 域の「社会」、「自然」といった領域であったものが変わりながらも、次の改訂へと受け継が れる思いに着目し、現在の領域「環境」となったのか、そして、今回の新たに告示となった 幼稚園教育要領でめざす子どもの姿と領域「環境」とのつながりを述べた。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本論では、新任保育者の不適応を「保育者の多重役割問題」として捉え、保育者の適応・ 熟達化を、多重役割を遂行する力を身につけることと定義した。そして、その多重役割問 題のキーワードとして、「保育者の役割の不明瞭性（保育の言語化の難しさ）」と「保育活 動に対するフィードバックの不明瞭性」を論じ、その対策としての「宮崎県幼稚園連合会・ 宮崎学園短期大学式新任保育者指導／支援チェックシート」について述べた。調査結果か らチェックシートの効果を検討するとともに、新任保育者の適応・熟達化を促進する保育 現場の研究の今後の展望について述べた。departmental bulletin pape
