Abstract— Today, supply chain management has emerged as an important capability of operational excellence for companies. On the one hand, small and medium-sized businesses are managed by business families, and through this, owners will make strategic decisions to control and manage operations. Towards the growth of professionalization levels is risk-taking, which has a significant impact on business. Based on the results obtained, the main trends of the modern development of global family policy are highlighted, including the degree of its impact on the economic stability and the competitiveness of the country. The research is based on four macro-regions of the world: Europe, America, Asia, as well as Australia and New Zealand. The purpose of this paper is to provide a model for the relationship between the characteristics of small and medium-sized family businesses and supply chain management. The relevant model shows which of the family business requirements and supply chain management is effective. As a result, it was concluded that the strongest relationship between the family policy and economic development can be traced in supply chain management of Russia. Other regions of the world demonstrated a lower correlation. This emphasizes the non-synchronous impact of the decisions made by the state in the interests of the family on its global competitiveness. It was revealed that the improvement of economic indicators stimulates fertility in Russia, while in other countries, on the contrary, it provokes its decline
The Product Market Strategy, Value Creation, and Competitive Advantages as a Determinant Factor of Marketing Performance
The Micro-finance Industry occupied a strategic role in the Indonesian economy. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) as one of the micro-finance institutions has an important role in encouraging the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Even the BPR still has obstacles, in terms of competition. The contribution of BPR nationally is only 4% compared with the contribution of commercial banks, besides that, the product market strategy was still carried out sporadically. It was not becoming a leading of a value creation strategy and competitive advantages, exactly creating a unique product, which is different than the competitor’s products. This paper has the characteristics of a product-market strategy, value creation and competitive advantage that is guested in affecting the performance of marketing significantly. The analysis used is descriptive analysis for qualitative variables and verification analysis for testing the hypothesis by using statistical tests. The analytical tool used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) that is the analysis unit was directors of microfinance institutions. The sample size was 300 respondents (directors of BPR in Indonesia) who are determined by the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The finding of this study states that the product market strategy, value creation, and competitive advantage positively affect marketing performance. The influence of value creation is greater than the effect of product market strategy to marketing performance. In order, to optimize marketing performance is still dominated by the product market strategies. Therefore, the BPR has to pay attention and enhance the value creation for raising the performance and profits
Supply Chain Integration and Supply Chain Performance: The Mediating Role of Supply Chain Resilience
The objective of this study is to examine the influence of supply chain integration (SCI) on supply chain resilience (SCRES) on supply chain performance (SCP) dimensions of large – scale manufacturing firms in Pakistan. It also examines the indirect effects of all the SCI dimensions on all the SCP dimensions through the SCRES. A quantitative approach using questionnaire survey was employed to examine the hypotheses and theoretical framework. Data were collected from 182 manufacturing firms in Pakistan and the SMART PLS version 3.2.7 was used for data analysis. The results showed that the SCI contributed significantly to the SCRES while the SCRES impacted on the SCP substantially. However, the association between the SCI and the SCP was not linear; it was determined by the level of the SCRES. This study fills the research gap by integrating the SCRES as a mediator between the SCI and the SCP
Supply Chain Management for Value Added In Agriculture Sector of Indonesia
Abstract— macroeconomic aspects of preferred value chains. This paper introduces the concept of SCM and illustrates its applications in agroindustries, with a focus on Value Added Tac (VAT) in Indonesia. VAT is one of the main sources of tax revenue in Indonesia, which is a percentage applied to the sale price charged for goods or services at every point in the supply chain. Currently, the tax revenue is one of the fiscal risks that must be mitigated by the Government, since it never reached the target in the last ten years except in 2008. One discourse being raised to increase tax revenue is to charge VAT on all goods and services, including the agriculture sector. Elucidating Flood Disaster Problems in the World Capital Cities: Analyzing the Role of Humantrain Supply Chain
Jakarta is one of the cities that is often hit by floods. The problem of flooding in Jakarta is actually not a new thing. Many factors make Jakarta city vulnerable to flooding. These factors are natural and anthropogenic factors. These natural factors are: (1) Jakarta is located in the lowlands near the coast, (2) there are 13 rivers flowing through Jakarta, and (3) the high annual rainfall in the Ciliwung watershed ( 3000 mm). While anthropogenic factors are: (1) landscape changes due to high competition in land-based economic activities, (2) poor urban and rural spatial planning, and (3) lack of integrated institutional capacity and arrangements, especially in cross-border administration (especially Jakarta and West Java provinces). Lastly, our study has highlighted the need and significance of humantrain supply chain during the flood and similar other disasters. It is believed that humantrain supply chain is entirely different from commerical supply chain and may play a big role while addressing the issue of flood risk as faced by the community members
Supply Chain Strategy and Labor Partnership as a National Priority in the Economic Development of Russia
Abstract— Global competition has intensified geographic repositioning of supply chain activities with implications for the economic prosperity of specific regions and geographies affected by such shift. The article reflects the results of studies based on an interdisciplinary approach to the economic development by supply chain strategy and labor partnership. The work is aimed at clarifying the concept of supply chain management and labor partnership as an economic category. Therefore, this concept has been studied through the synthesis of jurisprudence, conflict management, sociology and political science, which allows to identify the economic and microeconomic substances of this phenomenon. The former is considered through the labor market trends and conditions, and quantified in derived parameters of supply chain and social-labor relations depending on it. The latter, as a specific type of management, is formed at the intersection of entrepreneurial, systemic management under limited conditions for self-management model implementation, typical for modern transition to the information, digital economy. Thus, a model of supply chain strategy and labor partnership has been developed as a microeconomic category, implying the impact characteristic of such management tools as investments in human capital, development of corporate culture, adequacy of compensation policies and supply chain responsibility tools, on social capital, considered as a synergistic amount of company’s human capital realized to the full. Additionally, a set of indicators developed in the course of research, and their dynamics can be used to monitor general trends in supply chain and labor partnership as an economic category. Our findings allow expanding the field of research and providing a scientific background for practical tools to improve economic relations
Creating Sustainable Supply of Sugarcane through Contract Farming Partnership (A Case Study at Sugar Factory “Kebon Agung”, Malang – Indonesia)
Employing an interpretive research design with post-positivist paradigm, it was conducted in Kebon Agung Sugar Factory, Malang. The research informants were selected using snowballing technique.
