This study aims to explore urban farming activities that could improve the quality life of B40 groups in Malaysia. At the end of the study, a framework of the quality life example (i.e social, economic, lifestyle and health) will be developed. This study has applied a mix method by combining three approaches including structured literature reviews, interviews and surveys. In first phase, a systematic literature has been done followed by the development and validating the research framework. Respondents for this study are among Malaysian citizens from B40 group that been selected on a voluntary basis. The framework was evaluated and validated by five experts and analyzed using Cohen’s Kappa Coefficient formula. The framework consists of (i) individual factors which comprise the aspect of intention, capital, knowledge and skill; (ii) internal factors which comprise the aspect of farm, ecosystem, technology, methods and techniques; as well as (iii) external factors which comprise market, government support, resources and funding in terms of enhancing quality of life. The framework is expected to bring a paradigm shift in exposing Malaysians to improve their standard of living while promoting the development of agricultural innovations standing with developed countrie
Current Trends in Global Supply Chain Management Investment Policy
Abstract- To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the world economy, significant financial resources and global supply chain are needed. Priority issues are related to the use of investment resources. Almost all sectors of the economy have a real need for investment. Domestic investments is not enough for countries to implement effective structural policies and upgrade fixed assets. They are forced to attract foreign investment. The annual requirements for international investment reach several trillion US dollars. However, foreign investors are in no hurry to expand investments in the economy of foreign countries. Moreover, in 2017-2019 there is a decrease in global direct foreign investment flows. This is largely due to a noticeable reduction in US investment in the economies of the European Union and China as a result of the tightening of the American protectionism policy pursued by the D. Trump administration and the US Federal Reserve to strengthen regulation of foreign companies in the US market. A decrease in the level of international investment under the worsening business climate in the world leads to the increased competition between countries for attracting foreign investment

Moderating Effect of Supply Chain Dynamic Capabilities on the Relationship of Sustainable Supply Chain Management Practices and Organizational Sustainable Performance: A Study on the Restaurant Industry in Indonesia
The sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) is a fairly new topic that has become a superior attention for the researchers recently. The current study is investigated empirically moderating effect of Supply chain dynamic capabilities (SCDC) on the relationship of SSCM practices and organizational sustainable performance (OSP) indicators namely; “economic performance, environmental performance, social performance” in the restaurant industry of Indonesia. For this purpose, data was collected from the 210 supply chain managers by using the simple random sampling technique which yield a 78% response rate. For data analysis Smart PLS 3 software and PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach was employed. The SEM analysis has shown, SSCM practices has a significant association with the OSP indicators. Moreover, the findings of the current study also shown that SCDC is significantly moderates on the relationship of SSCM practices and OSP in the restaurant industry of Indonesia. This shows that SCDC is considered to be an important contribution of the study. The current research also contributes a body of knowledge in the way of theoretical and practical implications. The study limitations and future directions are also discussed at last of the study
Society Exchange Characteristics, Service Quality, and Relationship Quality between Hospital and Its Suppliers
Successful supply chain management provides an enterprise with a new competitive advantage. However, successful supply chain performance is based on a high level of trust and strong commitment among supply chain partners. Studies have indicated that communication, partner’s reputation, perceived benefits, fairness, and relationship tenure that are within the context of social exchange theory have an effect on trust. In the current study, we attempted to integrate two types of theories of social exchange and service quality by proposing an integrated model that influences the factor to trust and commitment. We then applied structural equation modeling to test the model. The study results indicated that a hospital’s trust in its supply chain partner is highly associated with commitment. The study included respondents comprising medical device procurement staff working in hospitals within Taiwan. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed; 316 completed questionnaires were received. The results revealed that communication, partner’s reputation, and perceived benefits had a positive effect on trust. Service quality was also determined to have a positive effect on trust and commitment. This result should provide reference for a hospital and its relationship with suppliers, which helps monitor decision variables in the supply chain management of medical devices
Supply Chain Strategy for Determining Factors of Land Value Zone and Regional Tax Purpose in Medan City, Indonesia
Abstract- Global supply chains have a distinct geography that involves the dimensions of production, distribution and consumption. This geography, at the heart of many sourcing strategies, is often neglected by supply chain managers, or at least scholars investigating supply chain management. The land investment has a positive impact on boosting a region's financial strength through a Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) burden. The amount of PBB-P2 payable is determined using the Sales Value of Taxable Object (SVTO) in the relevant Land Value Zone (LVZ). However, the value of SVTO is lower than and is not proportional to the land market value. This study aims to identify the land value zone and determine the factors that influencing land value zone and regional tax purposes in commercial zones with the highest SVTO in Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. This quantitative analysis tested using multiple regression and performed by Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS-20). The result of this study showed that location has a positive and significant effect on the land value zone, while the land area has a negative and significant effect. Appropriate location can save energy thereby increasing the land value zone. It implies that decision-makers must consider location when determining land value zone and establishing the SVTO
Malaysian Armed Forces Logistic Management Problem: The Effect to the Country’s Defence
The country’s military development is a need to the country to ensure its viability. With the development of threat that not only traditional threat but it changes to the non-traditional threats. The security threat has influence the country’s military development and Defence Policy. It also implicates Malaysia which actively developing the military after the Cold War in 1991. Supply Chain Strategy and Economic Activities in Traditional Fishing Communities of Families in Serang Regency, Indonesia
Abstract- This study encompasses the supply chain model of distribution of the fishing industry. A family is a place where interactions between individuals and the larger community happen. The first social interactions that children have are with their mother and other family members. This was a qualitative study using a case study approach to thoroughly understand the family-based culture of fishing families in Banten Province, Indonesia. The results of the study revealed that family-based childcare was liberal, and the children were allowed to choose their own activities. Childcare within a family whose mother worked abroad was undertaken by the father, and part of the economic needs were fulfilled by the mother. For families that had more fishing gear, some were able to give fishing equipment to their children, both married and unmarried, to help with their family's economic needs
