Innovation in Supply Chain Finance as a New Alternative Financing Means for Russian Enterprises
Get PDFAbstract— This article discusses the access of enterprises to financial supply chain services in the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of SME financing history, we deduce the difficulties for SMEs to access the bank financial services since their emergence in spite of their important role in the country's development process. Indeed, alternative sources of credits such as crowdfunding offer a new opportunity to SMEs. Crowdfunding removes the barriers of the process duration, the barriers related to application fees, and allow smart contracts between different investors and SMEs to be obtained very quickly. While spreading the risk of the project between investors, crowdfunding is risky for investors. Innovation in supply chain finance is about the ability to meet the greatest challenges of a business with an approach that is at once meticulous in its attention to detail, and boundless in its creativity
Automated Inventory Management Systems and its impact on Supply Chain Risk Management in Manufacturing firms of Pakistan
Get PDFInventory management is an important task for manufacturing firms of Pakistan. Supply chain risks are considered to be major hurdle in successful accomplishment of today’s supply chain management processes. The increasing complexity in business operations results in number of supply chain risks which negatively affects the performance of an organization. This research investigates the contribution of automated inventory management systems in increasing the efficiency of inventory management. This study utilizes four automated inventory management systems which includes Radio frequency Identification (RFID), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and analyzes their role as a supply chain risk mitigation strategy through implication of risk management process. This study also determines the moderating influence of employee training and development on the relationship between automated inventory management systems and supply chain risk management in manufacturing firms of Pakistan through the implication of Strategic Employee Training and development model. This study proves that effective employee training and development is a necessary tool for impactful diffusion of innovative inventory management systems and its implementation in supply chain risk management. Impact of Knowledge Management in Supply Chain of Creative Industry
Get PDFAbstract- In Indonesia, creative economies are deemed as the alternative answers to difficulties facing stiff competition mainly brought by the technological revolution. This paper aims to contribute to the debate on the role of knowledge management (KM) in supply chain management. In this research literature focusing on the application of a KM in the supply chain system for creative industry in Indonesia presented. Results showed that KM is a commercial process that is allied to the production of new information and guaranteeing the espousal of the created knowledge in the company whenever it is needed. KM processes facilitate heightened organizational productivity, innovation, customer satisfaction, and enhanced productivity/process improvement in the supply chain context. The above business sustainability variables rely heavily on the capacity of creative workers to share knowledge, traditions, and experiences. Nonetheless, individuals in the creative world are inclined to hoard or hid knowledge for fear of knowledge risk and loss of livelihood. As a result, professional service firms (PSFs) should embrace. Recommendation of adopting nondisclosure or trade secrets’ contracts, patents, and trademarks to prevent creative staff from practicing knowledge hiding and knowledge hoarding, and consequently, promote knowledge sharing
Examining the Trends in Bank Deposits through Internal and External Factors based on the Supply Chain Strategies: A Primary and Secondary Data Survey
Get PDFAbstract- The banking sector is the basis of the economy of any country which relies on the supply chain strategies. Funding plays a significant role in the activities of banks, in the structure of which deposits to this day remain the cheapest and most significant resources. Bank deposits are also a major part of the country's savings. The level of bank deposits allows us to judge the quality of funding of second-tier banks. The level of attracting deposits is influenced by many external and internal factors of an economic, political, social nature. An analysis of the studies available in the economic literature shows either a one-sided study of factors affecting bank deposits and the use of mainly linear regression, or a study of factors on deposits of the country's banking sector as a whole. However, this approach does not allow us to see the degree of dependence of the level of deposits on various factors for individual banks, which is much more important when evaluating funding. The author presents an attempt to analyze the influence of external and internal factors on the level of the deposit base of individual second-tier banks in Kazakhstan using ridge regression and ANOVA. In addition, our study has provided the primary data analyses, covering the impact of supply chain management and green supply chain adoption on the banking sector deposits. It is found that some factors of supply chain management and green supply chain adoption are positively impacting on bank’s deposit while others are found to be non-significant determinants for predicting the deposits of the banks. However, supply chain management (6th item) is adversely impacting on the first and second measure of bank’s deposit. Similar trend is observed by green supply chain adoption (5th item) on first and third measure of bank’s deposits in Kazakhstan
Methodological Approaches for Assessing the Link between Supply Chain and Organizational Culture
Get PDFAbstract— The aim of this paper is to expand the knowledge of buyer-supplier relationships by investigating the extent to which organisational cultural fit between a buyer and supply chain participants influences performance. Findings demonstrate that complementarity rather than congruence between the supply chain partners achieved successful performance outcomes. Organisations in the high-performing supply chain had significantly different cultural profiles, reporting significant statistical differences across all six cultural dimensions. Organisations in the low-performing supply chain had almost identical profiles across all six cultural dimensions with significantly lower mean scores across each dimension. This article presents methodological approaches for assessing the organizational culture development of an educational institution. The research purpose is to study the feasibility and advisability of applying various methods to assess the level of the organizational culture development on supply chain management. The authors conducted an empirical study using quantitative methods (the maturity matrix of sustainable development of the organization and the Denison model), adapted to evaluate the level of the organizational culture development in a supply chain management
Improving Urban Public Bus Service Quality: A Review of the Performance Benchmarking

This decision may be due to personal experience when the services do not meet the expected satisfaction. Understanding the key factors of bus performance is important because it related users’ loyalty and ridership issue. However, current practice in Malaysia does not focus on developing and implementing an urban transport benchmarking. The authorities and the operators need to take a transparent action with an intense understanding of user needs in order to enhance the public bus service for foreseeable future. Get PDFAbstract— The research investigates the role of of supply chain strategy in hoteling industry and intention to book hotel Traveloka.com. The questionnaire delivered to the student that is already experiencing booking hotel via Traveloka.com. The results show that the attitude positively influences the intention to book the hotel. The higher of the individual attitude toward the Traveloka.com application, the higher the intention to book the hotel online. The subjective norms which are how the normative belief of the surroundings which are the community, family friends, and social community are the references for the consumer to do or not to do an act, especially to book a hotel via the Traveloka.com application. The perception of someone or a group of people that are the reference of the consumers to use the Traveloka.com application to book a hotel is beneficial to the consumers. Moreover, the higher the support of the surrounding people to book the hotel via the Traveloka.com application, the higher the intention of the consumers to book the hotel via Traveloka.com application. The perceived behavioral control influence positively the intention to book the hotel. Therefore the higher the easiness perception and fewer obstacles, the higher the intention of the individuals to book the hotel
The Effect of Supply Chain Indicators on the Business Performance of Food Industry in Indonesia
Get PDFThe performance is considered to be an important part of the business for their long term survival. For this purpose, the supply chain integration (SCI) indicators are considered to be an important part to increase the performance of the organization. The organizations which have a little attention on the SCI has low level of their performance. To address this issue, the current study purpose is to investigate the impact of supply chain indicators on the business performance (BP) of food industry. For this purpose, data has been collected from the 450 top and middle managers that were working in the food industry of Indonesia. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) of the study has shown that internal integration (INI) and external integration (EXI) have a positive and significant relationship with the BP. On the other hand, information technology integration (ITI) has insignificant relationship with the BP. While, supplier buyer relationship coordination integration (SBRCI) and logistics integration (LOI) have a positive and significant relationship with the BP. These findings indicate that food industry of Indonesia played an important role on the SCI to increase their BP. Therefore, this research is considered to be a pioneer study in which SCI played an important role to increase their BP. The research limitations and future direction were also discussed at the end of the study.
Community Development through Supply Chain Strategy: Governance of Village Enterprise
Get PDFAbstract— Managing the supply chain has become a way of improving competitiveness by reducing uncertainty and improving service. This paper will seek to highlight the importance of managing the Supply Chain and logistics in Indonesia rural markets to delivers goods and services in a cost effective manner. The village enterprise has become the Indonesian government's program to develop the economy of villages through the supply chain. The management of village enterprise in traditional villages encounters two situations. On the one hand, the village enterprise is required to have good governance, while on the other hand it deals with the conditions of supply chain strategy. The mutual influence between supply chain and communities offers opportunities to integrate sustainability initiatives into the chain. So the objective of this research is to explore the understanding of stakeholders about the supply chain of enterprise at the village of Wologai. This research also explores the supply chain that supports the governance of village enterprises. Village of Wologai as a traditional village, it has high supply chain strategy, for example, there is a traditional leader i.e. “musalaki” who is a respected figure in the village community. Supply chain strategy that has the potential to hamper governance implementation, among others, is in terms of meeting the demands of indigenous peoples who want enterprise activities to prioritize culture ceremonies rather than discipline in preparing good governance
