Logistics Strategies Assessment for Small Coffee Producers in Chiapas, Mexico
Coffee production represents the livelihood of many peasant families in underdeveloped countries. In Mexico, coffee production has social, ecological, and economic significance. However, the Mexican industry coffee needs to determine a logistic strategy for improving its competitiveness. This work proposes a methodology to help coffee producers in Chiapas, Mexico. This methodology has four stages. First, we did SWOT Analysis to understand the environment of the coffee sector from a literature review. Second, from SWOT analysis, a survey was designed. An expert group in coffee production linked to Chiapas coffee producers answered this survey. We use Cronbach's alpha coefficient to validate answers. Third, we assessed external and internal factors matrices to define generic strategies. Finally, it selected the best option from the Quantitative Matrix of Logistics Strategies. The results show several areas of opportunity for coffee producers concerning strengths and opportunities. The resulting logistic strategy is oriented to increase the participation of coffee products in the current market —this action help to make a differentiation of the brand through the denomination of origin and geographical indication
The Influence of Communication in the Buyer-Supplier Integration on Procurement Performance of Large Manufacturing Firms in Tanzania
Despite the efficacious communication evident in the buyer-supplier relationship, material procurement performance in large manufacturing firms of Tanzania remains a challenge. The Resources Dependency and Transaction Cost Economics Theories were used in this study to analyze the influence of Early Supplier Involvement in design specification, electronic information sharing, communication direction, and frequency of buyer-supplier meetings,(all considered key in enhancing communication in the buyer-supplier relationship), on procurement performance. 52 large manufacturing firms in Temeke Municipality were approached through a census to inform the study. From each firm, one procurement and one store manager were purposively sampled, totaling to 104 respondents. Data was obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using the Binary logistic regression. This study was supplemented by qualitative opinions since communication in the buyer-supplier relationship is a strategic aspect. The study revealed that poor procurement performance is attributed to lack of Early Supplier Involvement and limited electronic information sharing. It was recommended as per findings that with the assistance of the government, a framework should be developed and adopted by manufacturing firms so as to address procurement performance drawbacks. Future studies should grasp the mediating role of third-party logistics on the influence of communication in the buyer-supplier relationship on procurement performance of large manufacturing firms in Tanzania
Agrifood Supply Chain Traceability: A Systematic Literature Review
This paper investigates the knowledge gaps in the published research on agri-food supply chain traceability (AFSC), identifies the main unexplored issues and potential research gaps, and sets the research agenda for future researchers. A systematic literature review of the quality work/papers on AFSC traceability was done for the period (2008-2020) using a PRISMA flow diagram. The systematic literature review results have provided insight into the present literature and set future research directions related to agri-food supply chain traceability-related to re-search. The study reveals several critical issues related to all the stakeholders; it has furthered understanding of drivers and challenges and Food Traceability System contributions from a practical perspective. This paper has used only quality research work of 12 years only as per set inclusion and exclusion criteria which is the study’s main limitation. It identifies significant knowledge gaps and defines directions for future research. This work has explored the current state of the regulations and potential technologies to help effective decision-making practices that managers can use in AFSCs.This study has presented an idiosyncratic set of research domains for further investigation in the are
Social Media in Building Relationships Between Companies and Representatives of Generation Z in the CRM Concept
Building social media relationships with Generation Z members is a huge challenge for today’s enterprises, not only because they are the least studied generation, but also because they represent different values than those of the previous generations. It is important that both sides of the relationship – the customer and the entrepreneur – are on social media at the same time and in the same place. This would enable communication and relationship building. The aim of the paper was to identify social networking portals, which are most often used by the representatives of Generation Z as an element of building relationships with companies. The study of Generation Z attitudes towards brands on social media is part of broader research conducted by the authors among students in Poland and Great Britain in 2020. The method used in the study was a survey, as part of which the CATI surveying technique was used. For analysis of the study material, descriptive statistics measures were used. Analysis of the collected empirical data provided the basis for verifying the research hypotheses. The findings show which social networking portals are most often used by respondents of Generation Z in customer-company relationships. Additionally, the strength of the relationships between the analysed variables and the respondent's gender and place of residence was verified

A Cognitive-Affective-Behavioral Responses of Customer Experience (CAB-CE) Model for Service Delivery Improvement in the Healthcare Industry
The healthcare industry is shifting towards customer-focused similar to other service industries. The healthcare service providers and theorists have developed various measurement tools of customer experience (CE) to sustain the business. However, there are still unresolved issues related to CE measurement tools in the healthcare context need to be addressed. First, CE measurement tools still fail to capture the customers’ journey towards healthcare service experiences truly. Second, the relevant variables representing each phase of CE, as well as their interrelationships, have rarely been explored and examined in the healthcare service industry. Thus, this research aims to develop and validate a CE measurement model by considering the relevant variables by representing three phases of customers’ journey towards healthcare service delivery, namely cognitive, affective, and behaviour responses (CAB-CE). This research was conducted at Malaysian public hospitals. The customers who experienced service delivery at Malaysian public hospitals were selected as the respondents. The data were gathered via a questionnaire sent to the respondents using the convenience sampling technique. In total, 215 completed questionnaires were then proceeding to the data analysis stage. The structural equation modelling (SEM) using AMOS was performed to test the applicability of the model developed. SEM was also performed to simultaneously test the relationships among the variables of CE in a single model. The results revealed the validity and applicability of the CAB-CE model in measuring the CE in the healthcare service industry. Besides, the structural analysis has proven the relationships among the variables of customers’ journey phases. Developing a CAB-CE model is hoped to contribute to the improvement of the existing CE measurement tools, both practically and theoretically, within the context of healthcare service
