Graphic design: modern trends
The paper analyzes modern trends in graphic design. The study examines
graphic design as a component of visual culture and includes consideration of
various trends and problems that have arisen in modern graphic design
Green design concepts and practices in textile and clothing: the case of marimekko
As global warming and resource depletion intensify, the textile and apparel
industries are increasingly adopting green design. This study explores how brands,
such as Marimekko, incorporates sustainability through sustainable materials,
naturalistic design, and sustainable production processes. By analyzing its
approach, the research offers insights into sustainable practices that help brands
reduce environmental impact and meet global demands for responsibility
Ingenious packaging design: exploring constructive solutions for complex requirements
This paper explores "ingenious packaging design" – a proactive, creative,
and scientifically informed approach, – as a crucial strategy for addressing these
complex challenges. By moving beyond traditional containment solutions, ingenious
design transforms packaging into a strategic asset that enhances product lifecycle
management. The study examines case studies across diverse sectors, highlighting
innovative materials, structural designs, and user-centric initiatives. These
examples demonstrate how ingenious packaging can simultaneously improve
sustainability, reduce waste, enhance product preservation, optimize dispensing,
and elevate consumer experience. Ingenious packaging design allows packaging to
be a source of value and a positive contributor to environmental effectiveness
A case study of the application of traditional craftsmanship in modern fashion handbag design
This paper explores the application of traditional craftsmanship in modern
handbag design, using Fendi Baguette’s “Hand in Hand” project as a case study.
The project highlights Fendi’s commitment to preserving and celebrating traditional
handcrafts by collaborating with artisans from diverse cultural backgrounds. It also
examines how Fendi incorporates techniques such as embroidery, weaving, and
leatherwork into its collections, showcasing the fusion of cultural heritage with
contemporary fashion handbag design. Through this analysis, the paper
demonstrates that traditional craftsmanship not only enriches the aesthetic and
cultural value of fashion handbags but also contributes to sustainability and global
cultural exchange
Tradition and simplicity in the art of leatherwork
This work presents two collections of leather goods. One richly ornamented
with traditional embroidered motifs and another characterized by a simple and
elegant design. The collections were made by the author from the waste left over
from the natural leather cutting process within leather enterprises. Both approaches
demonstrate the craftsmanship of craftsmen and the importance of preserving
tradition in a constantly changing world
Enhancing urban walkability: strategies for Connection and communication
This paper examines the design of walkable streets in Shanghai, focusing on
strategies for enhancing connectivity and interaction between pedestrian pathways
and the adjacent built environment, including architectural, commercial, and
residential spaces. It explores how the treatment of spatial boundaries influences
walking comfort and contributes to street vitality. Through case analysis, the study
demonstrates that reducing spatial fragmentation and fostering organic integration
between sidewalks and their surroundings are essential for creating dynamic,
inclusive, and human-centered urban environments
Laser cutting, zero waste and virtual prototyping – sustainable innovations in fashion design
Zero Waste is a sustainable concept that aims to eliminate waste by
optimizing resources and reusing materials. In the fashion industry, it involves
efficient tailoring techniques, recycling and the use of advanced technologies to
minimize waste. By integrating innovative technologies and processes, the
environmental impact can be significantly reduced. This approach not only supports
sustainability, but also opens up new aesthetic and functional directions in clothing
design. The paper presents a theoretical and practical study of the use of innovative
technologies used in the modern fashion industry
The application of traditional Chinese elements in underwear design
This article adopts literature research and case analysis methods to explore
the application forms of traditional Chinese elements and modern underwear design,
providing a theoretical basis and practical guidance for future design innovation
Urban brand design through the transformation of Historical Heritage: A Typological Framework
This paper examines the integration of historical heritage into urban brand
design using a typological approach. Through qualitative analysis and diverse case
studies, the research identifies distinct ways for applying heritage to key visual
elements, such as logos, color palettes, and auxiliary graphics. The study reveals
that, when effectively leveraged, historical sites can be transformed into strategic
brand assets that enhance local identity and global competitiveness. The findings
offer a comprehensive framework for understanding heritage-driven design
strategies, providing valuable insights for urban planners and designers to create
more resonant and sustainable city brand identities
Eye overlapping in film posters: a composition technique for visual impact
The paper explores the application of eye overlapping composition in film
poster design, with a specific focus on graphic elements. Analyzing innovative
graphic techniques within the context of film posters, can investigate how strategic
overlapping of visual elements, contributes to the overall creativity and
communicative power of the design. Examining a diverse array of film posters,
highlights the inventive use of overlapping graphics to convey narrative themes and
evoke viewer curiosity. The thoughtful graphic design be highlighted, demonstrating
how the intentional use of composition enhances the visual appeal and storytelling
efficacy of promotional materials
