Legal Analysis of the Monta District Expansion Plan in Bima Regency: A Regional Government Law Perspective
Get PDFSubdistrict expansion serves as a strategic effort to enhance public service effectiveness and accelerate regional development, particularly in geographically extensive areas such as Monta Subdistrict, Bima Regency. This study aims to examine the legality of the proposed Monta District expansion within the framework of local government law and to identify key implementation challenges and strategic solutions. A normative legal research method is employed, using conceptual, statutory, and case-based approaches. The findings indicate that, administratively, the legal requirements for expansion have been fulfilled in accordance with Government Regulation No. 17 of 2018 and Article 221 of Law No. 23 of 2014. However, several deficiencies remain, including the lack of essential supporting documents such as academic manuscripts, technical assessments, approval from the Bima Regency DPRD, inclusive public participation, and institutional regulatory harmonization. This study recommends cross-sectoral coordination to expedite the expansion process and develop a comprehensive local legal framework. The findings contribute to the strengthening of regional governance in the context of decentralization and regional autonomy
Legal Protection for Farmer Groups in Subsidized Fertilizer Pricing: A Case Study in Kualuh Hilir, North Sumatra
Get PDFDiscrepancies between subsidized fertilizer prices and the government-mandated Maximum Retail Price (HET) continue to undermine agricultural productivity and policy effectiveness in Indonesia. This study examines the legal protection afforded to farmer groups affected by such price deviations, focusing on a case study in Kualuh Hilir Subdistrict, North Labuhanbatu Regency. Employing a socio-legal approach, the research combines normative legal analysis - reviewing Law No. 19 of 2013 on the Protection and Empowerment of Farmers, Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 10 of 2022 as amended by Regulation No. 1 of 2024, and relevant constitutional provisions - with empirical fieldwork, including semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. Findings reveal that extended distribution chains, weak regulatory oversight, delayed subsidy disbursements, and low legal literacy among farmers are the primary factors driving price discrepancies, resulting in farmers paying significantly above the regulated HET. These findings underscore a persistent gap between Indonesia’s legal frameworks and their practical implementation, leaving smallholders vulnerable to exploitation. This study contributes to socio-legal scholarship on agrarian justice by providing micro-level evidence of how systemic weaknesses in subsidy governance undermine farmers’ legal protections. Policy recommendations include strengthening distribution regulations, establishing accessible grievance mechanisms, and improving farmer legal literacy to enhance subsidy program effectiveness and ensure constitutional guarantees of agrarian justice are realized

Get PDFThis article was written based on the famous Bugis Bone proverb "aja mubotting narekko depa mullei makkaluriwi Dapure'ng wekka pitu (don't marry if you can't go around the kitchen seven times), this article aims to find out the meaning of the Bugis proverb Makkalu Dapure'ng Wekka Pitu according to Islamic law. The main topic of discussion that will be analyzed in this article is what is the meaning contained in the Makkalu Dapure'ng Wekka Pitu proverb and what is the Islamic Law view of this proverb. This research is library research. The results of this research show that the Bugis community has a language that is full of meaning. Pappaseng tau riolo (message from the ancestors) namely "aja mubotting narekko depa mullei makkaluriwi Dapureng'e wekka pitu (don't marry if you can't go around the kitchen seven times) shows that marriage is not only about love, but also about a man's responsibility -men to their wives to provide all the necessities of life both in terms of physical needs and biological needs, apart from that in Islamic law it is also very clear that it is stated that the husband is obliged to provide support for his wife and children in an appropriate manner

Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the managerial competence of the principal at Al-Falah Islamic Junior High School (SMP) Jambi, analyze the image of Al-Falah Islamic Junior High School (SMP) Jambi in the eyes of the community and analyze the principal's efforts to build the school's image at Al-Falah Islamic Junior High School (SMP) Jambi. The method used is qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: the managerial competence of the principal at Al-Falah Islamic Junior High School Jambi has shown positive results in several important aspects. The principal has succeeded in planning, organizing, leading, and supervising school activities well, especially in terms of managing human resources and facilities and infrastructure. Second, the image of Al-Falah Islamic Junior High School Jambi in the eyes of the community tends to be positive. The community views this school as an educational institution that prioritizes Islamic values, discipline, and character building for students. The school's success in religious and social programs also strengthens its positive image. Third, the principal has made various efforts to build the image of SMP Islam Al-Falah Jambi through a religious-based approach, improving academic quality, strengthening relationships with parents and the community, and active promotion through social media. In addition, the principal also pays attention to giving awards to outstanding students and improving school facilities. However, there are several things that need to be improved, such as the management of physical facilities and further utilization of technology in supporting the learning process and school image
The Influence of Using Smart Apps Creator on Science Learning Interest of Grade VIII Students of SMP Negeri 33 Makassar City
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the effect of the use of Smart Apps Creator on the interest in learning science of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 33 Makassar. This research is a type of quantitative research with a pre-experimental approach, and a one-shot case study research design. The subject of the study is 73 students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 33 Makassar for the 2024/2025 academic year. The data collection technique used observation and questionnaires. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that as many as 50.68% of students were in the criteria of interest, with the percentage in each indicator, namely 84.16% of students showing feelings of pleasure, 82.41% showing activeness in learning, 83.18% showing interest in learning, and 78.90% showing involvement in learning. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the t-calculated value of the t-table >, which was 3.009 > 1.994 so that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Based on the findings of these results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of Smart Apps Creator on the interest in learning science of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 33 Makassar

Effectiveness of Police Press Release Presentation on Journalists' Information Satisfaction
Get PDFEffective communication between public institutions and the media fosters transparency, accountability, and trust. However, limited empirical research has explored how press releases' structure, delivery, and credibility affect journalists’ satisfaction, particularly within local police institutions. This study examines the effectiveness of press release presentations by the Public Relations Division of the Bone Police Department in enhancing journalists’ information satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach, the study surveyed 26 officially registered journalists affiliated with the unit. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings reveal a statistically significant positive correlation between press release effectiveness and journalists’ satisfaction (R² = 0.840, p < 0.05). Key influencing factors include message clarity, source credibility, and digital communication platforms. This study contributes to institutional communication literature by highlighting the strategic role of media relations in shaping the perceived value of public information. It provides practical insights for public sector agencies to refine their communication strategies and build stronger relationships with the media, particularly in regions where accurate and timely information is critical. These findings underscore the importance of professional and credible press releases in improving the flow of public information
Political Communication in the Quranic Perspective: Ethical Principles for Contemporary Politics
Get PDFThis study examines political communication in the Qur'anic perspective with the aim of understanding ethical principles that can be applied in today's political life. The background of this study is the emergence of various problems in modern political practices, such as dishonesty, injustice, and lack of transparency. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach through a literature study, which examined Qur'anic verses and commentaries related to communication and leadership. The results show that the Qur'an teaches five main principles in political communication, namely honesty, justice, deliberation (shura), openness, and transparency. These principles are very relevant to the modern political context, as they can strengthen public trust and encourage more just and responsible leadership. This research contributes to providing an Islamic perspective as an ethical foundation for political communication. In conclusion, Qur'anic values remain relevant and important to be applied in building a political system that is more ethical, inclusive, and in favour of common welfare
THE ROLE OF COLLABORATIVE LEARNING IN ENHANCING STUDENTS’ SPEAKING ABILITIES
Get PDFThis study aimed to determine the role and effectiveness of collaborative learning in enhancing the English speaking abilities of class X students at MAN 1 Situbondo. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews with English teachers, and the distribution of questionnaires to students. The results of the study indicated that collaborative learning enhanced students' speaking fluency, vocabulary mastery, and self-confidence. Group discussions applied in learning created an environment that supported and encouraged students to be more active in participating in speaking English. Most students responded positively to this method, with the majority feeling more motivated, practicing speaking more often, and experiencing enhancements in pronunciation. Thus, collaborative learning proved effective as a strategy to enhance students' English speaking abilities while preparing them to face the challenges of communication in the global era
