Dispute in Aegean Sea: Ownership of Islets and Rocks

    Get PDF
The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), called also “Law of the Sea Treaty” or “Law of the Sea Convention” is the final agreement on the Sea, Maritime and Continental Shelf matters. The Maritime Law changed for the third time at the Conference convened in New York on 1982, after 9 years of long discussions. Greece signed the UNCLOS and Turkey together with USA and some other countries did not. Greece, right after the official release of convention results and verifying it officially, ignited a dispute in Aegean Sea to expand its control over marine areas adjacent to its coastlines based on the continental shelf rights of the islands, claiming ownership on the islets where their ownership not ceded to Greece by any international treaty. The unilaterally and intentionally declaration ownerships of islets and rocks by Greece based on rules, regulations and laws issued by the Government of Greece, which does not originate from any international treaty or agreement, by the time officially led to a “fait accomplish” ownership of the islets and rocks by Greece, which according to UNCLOS, would lead the Aegean Sea to be a Greek Lake, stretching from Turkish coast line to the shores of the Greece in Aegean Sea. Most of the islets and the rocks, being the core of the decades long dispute between Turkey and Greece, bear no economic life or value and do not sustain any human or animal habitation. Most of them are even not large enough to be marked on a map, except portolans.    &nbsp

PSYCHOLOGICAL PERCEPTION and THE IMPACT of COMMUNICATION on THE FORMATION of WATER SOCIOLOGY: DETERMINING POLICIES of WATER SOCIOLOGY

    Get PDF
Water is life. Water is living. Water is health. Water is the soil and the motherland. Water is the very embodiment of human being. Water is to see, to look, to read, to know and to learn. Water means to be human and to live like a human. Because, lack of water means the destruction of human and humanity.  What makes us astonished is the question: Has the water sociology never come to mind? Why has it not been written in the literature? or has not been seen so far.We found it necessary to approach to this failure, coinciding with communication psychology, because we can explain the importance of water, assert a sociological theory and develop it altogether via communication.   Currently what we are living is an environmental disaster. Water sociology should be resolved in relation with time and communication psychology and interaction should constitute its most crucial bases. Sleeping, 8 h+Cleaning, 1h+Eating, 3h+Travelling, 2h+Working, 8h = Total 22hWhat happens in the remaining two hours? Here you are… if every individual spares half an hour of his/her time to environment and thinks about water! Solution comes about to be the water sociology. However, what’s right is to be more effective at work and is to be able to contribute to humanity. This is the sociological dimension of psychological perception. Here comes across us the psychology of water as the sociology of water in the social dimension.  Here is the psychology of water.  Whereas time flows like water

Although nothing extensively written so far, Turkey-UK relations reached a goodharmony in recent years and entered into an era of ‘golden age’ according to top state officialsin both countries. Intensification of bilateral economic relations -albeit global economic crisis-,cooperation concerning EU policies, similar reactions shown on both sides towards politicaldevelopments in the Middle East, shared approach in the Cyprus Dispute, common threatperception against Russian expansionism in Syria and Ukraine and the lack of a specific issuethat creates problems between two sides, are the main reasons of this progress. Moreover, thepositive image of British conservatism in Turkish Islamic-rightist movements contributes a lotto the progressive nature of the bilateral relations in recent years. This study aims to summarizethe main issues that characterize Turkey-UK relations in the last 5-6 years

Future of M-Learning in Saudi Arabia

    Get PDF
Mobile-learning, (or 'm-learning' as it will be referred to throughout this paper), dueto a considerable number of technological advances (Prensky, 2006), plays a significant rolein global education standards. Many education specialists believe that m-learning whencombined with conventional classroom learning yields better results in class (Simonson, andZvacek, 2014). Many studies have been conducted examining the viability of m-learning inthe institutions of higher learning (Fozdar, and Kumar, 2007; El-Hussein, Osman, and Cronje,2010; Simonson, and Zvacek, 2014); however, little is known about the social benefits mlearningpresents to future education standards on a global basis. The future of m-learning isincreasingly challenged by the initial high cost (Althunibat, 2015) involved in creating theinfrastructure required to implement m-learning. Lack of goodwill and high Internet costs(Wang, Chen, and Khan, 2014) can be attributed to poor results in adopting m-learning. Thispaper identifies some of the benefits and challenges inherent to m-learning and the future itholds in Saudi Arabia. It is a result of a survey conducted using more than one hundredlearners in Saudi Arabia institutions of higher learning

Mathematical Representation for The Concept of Knowledge and Truth

    Get PDF
This paper aimed to propose new model called “Truth Based Knowledge Management Model” and abbreviated, “TBKMM”. This model is different from other models where it contains many different stages and it presents a new pyramid of knowledge which also contains many different levels. In the other side, the paper presents a mathematical representation for the proposed KM model (TBKMM) to make the process of understanding it easier to comprehend . In his proposed representation, the researcher depends on the research which was proposed by Alkhaldi, F. M. (2005). Furthermore, the paper presents a new mathematical formula to represent the tacit knowledge which is composed inside the heart of human being which is considered to be the main storage area for knowledge from the researcher point of view. In addition, this paper found that the received information should pass through the following stages: Information reception, Information purifying, Knowledge composition, Wisdom composition, Certainty composition, and finally access to the Truth.  Lastly, the paper presents the Truth formula which clarify the way by which we can access the top of the knowledge pyramid based on the TBKMM model
