A Comparative Study Between Ignition Time (IT) And Oven Dry Density (ODD) As Fire Characteristics Of Some Tropical Timbers

    Get PDF
Timber is an essential raw material needed of construction in building industry andserves as source of energy in some homes. In this research, fire characteristics of fifty-seven(57) tropical timbers were investigated. The characteristics studied are: ignition time, andoven dry density. The tropical timbers with the highest IT and ODD are G. gnetoides andManilkara respectively while the ones with the least of these fire characteristics were M.indica (variety-German mango) and B. bonopozense respectively. Although greater majorityof tropical timbers with lower ODDs possess lower ignition time, greater majority of thetimbers with higher ODDs possess higher ignition time, this suggests that there is directrelationship between the ignition time of the tropical timbers and their oven dry densities.Though density is an important factor in determining the fire characteristics of timber, thecellular structure, molecular composition, orientation of fiber and timber extractives (egresins) deserve a special attention in ultimate result. In this work , identification of thetimbers that are fire resistant and otherwise are compared with respect to ignition time ofthese tropical timbers with their oven dry densities

Analysis of the UK Tropical Freshwater Fish Market & Developments for Innovative Transportation Models

    Get PDF
The following research project has been produced in order to analyse the UK Tropical Freshwater Fish Market and the most prominent Importers, Distributors, Wholesalers & Retailers within the country.  This project will also look further into the pricing, popularity and varieties of fish that are purchased by consumers in the UK. Finally we will look at a new innovative strategy, which has never previously been combined to such strict measures, for the transportation of tropical fish. This model ensures tropical fish experience less stress during their journey, with increased survival rates and extended life spans, whilst abiding by any regulations from authorities. After analysing all of these different areas, it will allow any new Importer & Distributor to make a well-informed decision as to whether or not the UK is a promising market to enter. Along with an extremely detailed specifications to adhere to, when transporting tropical fish across the world. The findings for this research are that the UK has a vast market for Ornamental Tropical freshwater fish, which continues to grow every year and has great potential. This however comes with lots of fierce competition in every stage of the supply chain. There have been a few key steps determined, which would need to be implemented in order to allow for the successful start of a new Importer & Distributor within the country. These steps have been displayed within the conclusion below. Lastly the innovative model to transport tropical fish further across the globe, has been demonstrated by combining and streamlining ten influential areas with newer technologies to create a revolutionary system. Strict regulations and time frames that are to be maintained and adhered to at all times in order for the success of this model

Subject chapter, Chapter 7 of The Fall of Ottomans, bears no “judicially valid evidences at all”, and is a narration of other people’s narratives or works.  It has no chronological consistency or any reasons properly told. These are too many and would require another chapter of verbatim answers which can be documentarily given with ease. The dependable source Taner Akcam (an extreme leftist prison fugitive in 1978, sheltered in Germany for a decade and later transferred to the care of Mr. Dadrian and created as scholar) in all these years has not produced one authentic document, other that “stories or fake evidences”. His salaries at Universities have been paid by rich Armenians. He is doing a “job for the money and support he gets”. The following posting with several references, unless the opposite is proven, weighs his scholarship and ethics:(Note: The blog post and share all polite comments).                                                                                                                        http://armenians-1915.blogspot.com/2015/05/3547-exposing-akcams-shady-scholarship.html All other younger Turkish scholars and Akçam, I am sure, cannot answer or comment even for a quarter of the documentary evidences attached.
