    Strategies for the Transition to the Application of Human Resource Information Systems in Saudi Government institutions: an Analytical Study

    The application of digital transformation strategies is a basic requirement and a new vision because of the technical glut that we live in and keeping pace with the electronic revolution that has been embodied in unprecedented leaps in the extent of its strength, its spread, and the extent of its impact on the details of life in all its social, economic, scientific, industrial, agricultural, and governmental activities. To codify its strategies in digital transformation to upgrade its services and keep pace with the technological age, and human resources information systems are the backbone of government institutions, given that we live today in a society whose view of human capital has changed, and seeks to benefit from and harness these systems. The study gains its importance from the human resources information systems that are used in the development of the infrastructure of government institutions and achieve interdependence between employees in government systems and government studies, and what prompts government institutions to adopt strategies in the application of human resources information systems and economic plans and systematic and studied plans that clarify the best practices and help in starting the activity The series from traditional HR systems to electronic HR information systems. The study relied on the descriptive approach using the analytical method. Data collection opportunity to collect data. The most important findings of the study: The organization under study applied the strategy of transition to human resources information systems in a manner characterized by success due to the selection of the appropriate strategy in line with the size and work of the organization. Introductory and qualifying courses that help a smooth transition towards a digital organization, and finally that the organization under study has been noted for its continuous support and motivation in the application of human resource information systems and the keenness to apply it and the fruitful results it will achieve as a result. Among the most important recommendations that came out of the study are the following: Organizations should develop a clear and specific plan about transformation, choose the most appropriate strategy for their current situation, The need for strong support and desire among departments the organization's higher level for transformation processes, and this is directly proportional to the desire of employees at various levels of departments, which makes them more confident and supportive of transformation processes

    Infusion phlebitis, perceptions of risk factors among Nurses in the Najran hospitals; a cross sectional study

    This study evaluated the perceptions of nurses for the risk factors of infusion phlebitis. A convenience sampling of hospital nurses from different departments and wards in Najran hospitals, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, were recruited. A survey was conducted using a validated questionnaire measuring the nurses’ perceptions of the risk factors associated with infusion phlebitis. A total of 131 questionnaires were evaluated. The study participants had sufficient knowledge about the infusion phlebitis, in particular how big the problem is, risk factors associated with the increased risk of infusion phlebitis, and importance of some measures that can reduce the risk. The nurses needed an update about the updated CDC guidelines and research findings for some risk factors such as infusion rate, and time of infusion

The study aimed to identify the role of knowledge management in achieving digital transformation in light of the Kingdom's vision 2030, and to achieve this goal the study used the analytical descriptive approach, and the study concluded that knowledge management can contribute strongly to achieving the requirements of digital transformation, as knowledge management has many advantages and benefits related to improving financial resources as a result of investing the knowledge that the university owns and as a result of the services and consultations it provides, and these financial returns help in meeting the material and human requirements related to digital transformation, as the returns of knowledge can be invested in developing the necessary infrastructure to achieve digital transformation as well as Developing the capabilities of faculty members and workers responsible for digital transformation processes. The study recommends the need for King Abdulaziz University to develop knowledge management processes and set clear goals related to utilizing the knowledge that the university possesses, and directing King Abdulaziz University’s gains from knowledge management towards supporting digital transformation efforts

    Impact of mechanisms and levels of decision-making on knowledge discovery through data mining to support decision-makers for the development of the human element in Holy Makkah Municipality

    This study aimed to know the effect of the levels and mechanisms of decision-making on the discovery of knowledge through data mining to support decision-makers to develop the human element in (HMM) Holy Makkah Municipality, and the descriptive survey approach was used by distributing questionnaires to know the mechanisms and levels of decision-making to develop the human element in (HMM) as a preparation to know the impact of knowledge discovery through data mining to support decision-makers to develop the human element in the municipality, where the questionnaire was distributed to (76) leaders in the municipality to identify the mechanisms and levels of decision-making, and the obstacles that prevent decision-makers from practicing their role and implementation of decisions, as the results of the survey reached several results, the most important of which is that decision-makers in municipality are careful on the effectiveness of their decisions in addressing the problems of developing the human element in the municipality. Therefore, we find that they utilised the information available through systems such as techniques for knowledge discovery in data mining, and managers are careful to take advantage of the provision of various alternatives systems to solve problems to facilitate the flexibility of problem-solving, as they initiate analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of solutions they are not available and reach the most appropriate solution, and the managers have sufficient experience in the field of developing the human element in the municipality. Therefore, we find them having the ability to classify situations and events as problems related to human development decisions, as strategic decisions depend on the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the municipality, and thus the strategic decisions are issued. Therefore, procedures and policies related to the development of the human element and other higher level in the municipality are determined, while the tactical executive level, which is represented by the general managers and those of their equivalent, decisions are made related to the details of the operations and tasks related to the secretariat, while the operational level, which is represented by the directors of departments and those of their equivalents, decisions related to the day-to-day operations and tasks related to individuals and departments, which indicates the need for information or knowledge to be available quickly at this level due to the speed of conducting these processes with it, and the study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which is the adoption of the senior management in the municipality of the directions of digital transformation and awareness or motivation for lower levels and individuals for this national orientation, it is also recommended to work on enhancing the ability of decision-makers in the municipality to classify situations and events as problems related to decisions to develop the human element in the municipality and work to strengthen the presence of an administration responsible for follow-up and review of the implementation of the decisions taken and submit to the higher management the extent of progress in their implementation and take the necessary measures to correct errors or abuses

This scientific paper aimed to shed light on the most important electronic archiving systems that institutions and organizations can implement, analyzing the essential differences between these systems and identifying their advantages and disadvantages. The study relied on the method of critical evaluation to extract information from intellectual production on the subject of electronic archiving systems. Among the most important findings of the study: Provides many commercial and open source electronic archiving systems that provide digital archiving solutions to all institutions and organizations of various activities and sizes. The reliance of many studies on reviewing intellectual production to evaluate electronic archiving systems and the lack of studies that have deliberately applied these systems. The study concludes on the importance of using electronic archiving systems in institutions and organizations because of the solutions it provides to them to archive digital as well as traditional informational content and preserve it regardless of the aging of time with the ability to search through it and retrieve it effectively and in a timely manner. This scientific paper recommended the necessity of conducting studies that apply electronic archiving systems to analyze and evaluate them to come up with the characteristics and requirements of these systems and the electronic archiving solutions they provide to institutions and organizations and to set standards that help in the task of choosing the optimal system for the institution or organization according to its objectives, size and activitie

    The Practical Models of Electronic Archiving: An Evaluation Study

    Given the challenges the institutions that use manual archiving face from low productivity to poor provided services, there was an urgent need to transform to the electronic archiving systems. Additionally, what makes transferring to electronic archiving mandatory and having practical models of electronic archiving unavoidable is the various problems that faced the institutions during the coronavirus pandemic which highlighted the importance of studying these models. Therefore, this paper aims mainly at assessing and analyzing the studies that discussed and studied the practical models of electronic archiving to highlight the most important sides that should be studied, focus on the importance of electronic archiving by clarifying the added value it adds to the authority that applies it, and focus on the great importance represented by the studies that care about development and design. This is through identifying to what extent the care about studying these models is and identifying what has been studied regarding these models and the added value these models added to the authorities that apply them. To achieve the aim of the study, the critical appraisal methodology has been adopted and ten foreign studies were chosen and analyzed. The study reached a number of conclusions; the most significant are the notable care about the field of studying the practical models of electronic archiving and the studies’ orientation towards studying the challenges more than the development and design. The electronic archiving models contributed to the development and improvement of the authorities that apply them and showed their importance and the great role they play in developing the sectors and progressing of the countries. Furthermore, they will open research perspectives to topics that have not been adequately addressed such as the effect of the practical models on developing the sectors. Moreover, the importance of the results is represented in enhancing the trends of the scientific research that care about development, design and improvement. These studies may contribute to developing electronic archiving and information management by creating new mechanisms for the electronic archiving management

    Human resource management practices associated with knowledge sharing at the higher education institutions.

    The present study is design to determine whether the human resource management (HRM) practices have an association or relationship with knowledge sharing (KS) among academics at the higher education institutions. For the purpose of this study, the HRM practices included are training, compensation, and staffing. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was applied to examine the data collected from 69 academics at the College of Business in University of Jeddah via questionnaire. The results indicated that training, compensation, and staffing showed an association with knowledge sharing among academics and all three practices significantly associated with knowledge sharing. This study provides two contributions. First, it reveals that the selected HRM practices impact knowledge sharing among academics at the College of Business. Second, since there is not abundant research about the HRM practices and knowledge sharing at universities, this research enriches the literature of HRM practices and  knowledge sharing at the higher education institutions. Future research can examine the relationship between HRM practices such as human resource planning, performance evaluation, teamwork, and knowledge sharing. In addition, a future study may investigate the level of sharing knowledge between male and female at the higher education institutions

    The Impact of Transformational Leadership on Performance of Employees in Health Facilities: An Applied Study in King Faisal Hospital in Makkah City.

    The study focused on the impact of transformational leadership on the performance of employees, and therefore aimed to study the impact of transformational leadership dimensions: the ideal effect, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual considerations on the performance of employees at King Faisal Hospital in Makkah. To achieve the goals of the study, the researcher used the descriptive-analytical approach and the questionnaire to collect data, and it consists of two parts: the first section is personal data, while the second section is five axes according to the study variables, and the study was applied to a sample of hospital staff that reached (302) employees. Most important results: There is a correlation between the dimensions of transformational leadership, and the most influential dimensions on the performance of employees according to the correlation coefficient is the ideal effect of correlation coefficient (0,634), followed by individual considerations (0,633), followed by inspirational stimulation (0,602) and finally intellectual stimulation (0,581). Most important recommendations: Selection of leaders who have transformational leadership behaviors in the important leadership positions of the hospital. Focusing on qualified administrative cadres to take leadership positions and work to develop their skills. Training managers on how to practice transformational leadership. The hospital administration adopts the transformational leadership style and focuses on its practice by managers and department heads

Countries are constantly striving to develop modern and advanced technologies to protect it, which is what this study came to address, as the study problem dealt with users’ perceptions of intellectual property techniques in digital repositories, and the study aimed to protect intellectual property techniques in digital repositories, and attention to users’ perceptions For digital repositories in the mechanisms of protecting intellectual property techniques, and the possibility of preserving intellectual property in digital repositories. To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach to describe the importance of digital repositories, analyze the methods of their use, analyze users' perceptions through a questionnaire distributed to (105) users of digital repositories, and analyze the responses using various statistical methods in the SPSS statistical package. The study resulted in several results, the most important of which are: The study sample members resorted largely to the use of open digital repositories compared to non-open repositories that use techniques to protect intellectual property rights There is a great interest on the part of the study sample members to access literature and publications for academic purposes, that digital repositories Not open hinders researchers looking for scientific sources from accessing the publications they need, which is what the researchers faced while working on this study.     Statistical Models for the Assessment of the Students for Undeveloped Country

    In the study, we analyzed and evaluate some characteristics which have a high impact on obstacles in the education of the students and have shown a significant relationship with the obstacles that seriously impede the realization of future goals of schools.  Samples are taken from secondary and higher secondary schools in the Dhaka district of Bangladesh. The sample of the study consisted of 300 students who were randomly selected from 52 schools. The data were collected using a questionnaire from randomly selected samples and some questions were developed by using a five-point likert scale. The data collection pertaining to this study involves both primary and secondary methods. A questionnaire for such purpose is designed and some statistical methods are applied to analyze the collected data. Factor analysis is used to find out the significant factors from the data. We then developed some independent variables to show the significant relationship with the students’ degree of suffering from the problems encountered in their external readings. The technique of descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation are used to determine the variability of various obstacles of the students. We performed the analysis of variance for every independent variable and the results show that all the variables are highly significant with the external readings of the students. Finally the results of logistic regression tells us the offering variables have a positive impact on overall external readings and crucial for the students who are facing problems in education
