Faculty's attitudes toward benefiting using Web Services 2.0 A survey on some secondary schools for girls in Taif
Web Services 2.0 are of the most prominent services used all around the world. Some people used these services to enrich the educational process, which helped to attract the learner and sustain the impact of education process. Therefore, members of the teaching staff in general education schools used them to support the educational process. Web Services 2.0 are considered among the most used services in education, which led to the emergence of a new type of learning that, combines learning with Web Services 2.0. It is called second-generation e-learning (e-learning 2.0 ) Perhaps the most prominent aim of the study is to identify the extent of awareness of the teaching staff in secondary schools for girls in Taif of Web Services 2.0. In addition, it aimed to identify how often they use the blogs, wikis, RSS and social networks, and their attitudes toward benefiting education. The researcher used a survey to collect the data, and the amount of the sample was 62 teacher. The results showed that 90% of the sample members have knowledge of Web Services 2.0. Internet was one the ways that have been identified. Moreover, 42% of the sample are using blogs and the majority have turned to help in the teaching curricula. 44% are using wikis, and the most prominent tendency is to check the topics that serve teaching curricula. 12% are using RSS to disseminate alerts for students. All members of the sample use social networks, mostly to send important alerts to students. It also shows that the sample members have an awareness of the importance of employing Web Services 2.0 in education, but some are unaware how to use these services, which indicates the scarcity of training courses held for them by the Ministry of Education regarding the Web Services 2.0. Therefore, one of the most prominent recommendations is the need for establishing training courses by the Ministry of Education to rehabilitate teachers in order to communicate with the students of new generation, which depends mostly on technology in all aspects of life. Thus, help to raise their education level and to provide them with basic skills, especially technological, which will contribute to the building of an educated and conscious generation
The Reality of the Application of the Ministry of Health of its e-Government Website During Covid 19 Pandemic
In light of the current development and digital transformation, governments have taken to the application of the requirements of e-Government to allow their citizens get easy access to their services efficiently and effectively. It is in this vein that the present study aims to explore the reality of the application of the Ministry of Health of its e-government website during Covid 19 pandemic. A descriptive analytic approach was used to analyse the literature on the subject matter in addition to using the appraisal method to assess the extent at which the criteria of e-government of the Ministry of Health’s website have been applied during the Covid 19 pandemic. A number of findings were attained including: The Ministry of Health paid great attention to the application of e-government criteria. There is some shortage in the application of e-government criteria. Covid-19 pandemic increased the level of application of e-government criteria of the Ministry of Health’s website. Based on these findings, the research recommends paying extra attention to more intensive application of e-government criteria, enlightening community members of the importance of offering services according to e-government criteria and its positive impact on facilitating access to the services they need and to conduct further studies in the future to appraise the level of application of e-government in various Saudi public institutions.
The Role of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Integration in the Efficient and Effective Achievement of Organization's Objectives: A Critical Review Study
All organizations seek to reach the efficiency and effectiveness in achieving their objectives; hence, the majority of organizations resorted to the ERP system as the ideal solution to achieve this target. Therefore, this study mainly aimed to identify the role of the ERP system integration in the efficient and effective achievement of Organization's objectives in addition to sub-objectives represented in exploring the existence of impact effectiveness difference based on the sector type, researching on the reasons that may hinder the system’s contribution to the efficient and effective achievement of objectives, exploring the influencing factors that contribute to increasing the opportunities of the system’s achievement of the Organization's objectives, the extent of the system’s contribution to the sector’s development and sustainability and, finally, researching on the extent to which the impact of these systems extends beyond the sector of the organizations by which they are applied. The critical review approach was applied. Several results were concluded the most important of which are: the ERP system constitutes the basic infrastructure that enables the organization to achieve its objectives efficiently and effectively; the effectiveness of the impact of the ERP system varies from one sector to another based on the duration of the system’s application; there are key factors influencing and contributing to increasing the opportunities of the ERP system in relation to the achievement of the Organization's objectives, including senior management support, employees training, and other important factors; the ERP system contributes to sector development and sustainability; and the ERP system impact extends beyond the sector of the organizations by which it is applied through open innovation
The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Monitoring Social Media
Although social media relies relatively on short phrases, pictures and symbols, it is considered a rich source of information. Thus, all categories of society members resort to it in search of information, fun or work. And with the spread of social networking sites, an increasing need emerged to develop smart methods to monitor them. Henceforth, applications of artificial intelligence appeared as human attempts to control everything in the space of these programs, with the aim of protection, surveillance and security. This raised the curiosity of researchers to know the extent of the effect of artificial intelligence applications in monitoring social media. In fact, this work aims at studying the extent of the effectiveness of artificial intelligence applications in monitoring social media. And because this topic bifurcates and covers many areas, it has been addressed through three axes: The first is the detection of fake news and rumors, the second is marketing products and knowing the tendencies of consumers, and the third is increasing security and the protection of communication platforms from spying and fraud. Moreover, and in order to achieve the goal of the study, the researchers used the evaluation method to review the theoretical literature and previous studies related to the study subjects. It also aimed at identifying the objectives pursued by the studies, results, and recommendations, and clarifying the aspects of agreement and disagreement in light of the data. This study reached several results namely the high capacity of smart applications in tracking, monitoring, and analyzing human tendencies and desires, the diversity of the quality of smart algorithms in the accuracy of results between accurate and average performance, and that artificial intelligence applications broke into most aspects of life, which made robots and machine learning systems the main feature of the new era. Thus, we find that the field needs to increase research, develop new types of algorithms and apply them in practice to produce the best, most accurate results that are similar to human intelligence and its decisions.
THE BENEFITS AND CHALLENGES OF AGILE PROJECT MANAGEMENT – LITERATURE REVIEW
Over the last few decades, there has been a significant increase in project management research. There is a new and different approach to project management known as agile project management (APM). Project management in the twenty-first century may well be APM, according to some industry insiders. However, APM has not had the expected impact on project management to date. Research in areas other than software development is still needed in APM literature, which is still in its early stages. As a result, this paper conducts a literature review about agile project management. The study's goals are to examine the benefits and drawbacks of APM, as well as to identify the main obstacles to overcome. Iterative and incremental delivery, increased performance, design flexibility, adaptability to changing environments, reduced development risks, working software, ensuring customer satisfaction, and avoiding overproduction are all advantages of APM systems. The inability to handle large projects, customer interaction, ambiguous requirements, difficulty performing integration testing, frequent release of new features, and the resulting lack of documentation, as well as relying on inexperienced resources, a traditional waterfall development mindset, and lack of familiarity with agile are all significant drawbacks of APM systems. Recommendations to address the issues raised have been discussed. The implications for both researchers and practitioners have been discussed
