    Analyze the Students’ Conceptual Understanding of Elasticity and Hooke’s Law Using the Rasch Model

    This study investigates students’ conceptual understanding of Elasticity and Hooke’s Law by employing the Rasch measurement model. Conceptual understanding in physics is essential for enabling learners to apply principles across contexts and develop critical thinking skills. The 20 items multiple-choice test was developed and validated to assess mastery of elasticity-related concepts. The approach in this study was quantitative that conducted in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, involving 56 senior high students who had completed lessons on the relevant topic. The Rasch model was applied using the Ministeps software to analyze item difficulty and student ability. The Wright map and fit statistics indicated that most students had low to moderate levels

    Differences in mathematical problem-solving skills based on computational thinking in problem-based learning and conventional learning

    Problem solving ability with Computational Thinking strategy is important for students. The study aims to determine the differences in mathematical problem solving ability with computational thinking on statistics material through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and conventional methods in class VII MTs Daarul Uluum Blitar. The study was conducted with a quasi-experiment through a pretest-posttest design with nonequivalent control group. Saturated samples were used in the study with class VII-B as the experimental class by implementing PBL and class VII-C as the control class. Data collection was carried out with a computational thinking ability test: decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms to solve mathematical problems on statistics material. An independent sample t-test was conducted to answer the problem formulation. The results showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.019 (α <0.05), with an average pretest and posttest of the experimental class of 49 and 63, while the control class was 32 and 54. These findings indicate that the PBL model is effective in improving mathematical problem solving abilities based on computational thinking

    Revitalizing Arabic Learning in Madrasah: A Deep Learning-Based Holistic Framework Integrating Islamic Pedagogy

    This study aims to formulate the "Arabic Language Learning as a Holistic Experience" conceptual framework to revitalize pedagogy in madrasahs, aligning with the national Deep Learning campaign. Using a conceptual framework development method, this research conducts a thematic synthesis and argumentative analysis of literature from educational psychology and Islamic pedagogy. The main results are three synthesized propositions: (1) Meaningful Learning is enriched by tadabbur (contemplation) to achieve spiritual meaningfulness; (2) Mindful Learning is integrated with khusyū\u27 (reverent presence) to create full presence; and (3) Joyful Learning is reinterpreted through ladzdzah al-‘ilm (the pleasure of knowledge) to cultivate intellectual-spiritual delight. These propositions are constructed into a holistic model that views the Arabic language as an integrated experience rather than merely a school subject. Its practical implications include shifting the teacher\u27s role to that of a facilitator-murabbī (spiritual guide) and reorienting assessment, while theoretically, the model bridges the discourse of modern psychology with Islamic wisdom. As a conceptual study, its primary limitation is the lack of empirical validation; therefore, future research is recommended to test the framework\u27s effectiveness through classroom-based intervention studies

    Happiness in Al-Farabi’s Thought: Implications for Islamic Educational Philosophy

    Abstract: This study examines Al-Farabi’s concept of happiness (al-sa‘adah) and analyzes its relevance within the framework of Islamic educational philosophy. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework to ensure a rigorous and transparent synthesis. From an initial pool of 1,750 records identified across academic databases such as Google Scholar and ResearchGate, 30 high-quality peer-reviewed studies published between 2000 and 2025 were selected based on strict inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using manual thematic analysis following the six-stage Braun and Clarke model, with inter-rater reliability validated by two reviewers (Cohen\u27s Kappa > 0.75). The findings indicate that Al-Farabi views happiness as the ultimate aim of human existence, attainable through the perfection of intellect, ethics, and spirituality. True happiness is described not as material prosperity but as a stable inner state achieved through the union of the human intellect with the active intellect (‘aql al-fa‘al). From an educational perspective, this concept underscores the need for a holistic Islamic education model that integrates intellectual development with moral and spiritual cultivation. The study also highlights the implications of Al-Farabi’s Madinah al-Faḍilah, which illustrates that individual happiness is inseparable from a just, ethical, and well-governed society. Nevertheless, this study is limited by its reliance on textual interpretation and the absence of empirical analysis. Future research is recommended to explore the practical application of Al-Farabi’s ideas in contemporary Islamic educational institutions and to examine their impact through empirical or mixed-method approaches

    Evaluation of Biochemistry Learning Based on OBE and KKNI in The Face of The World Of Work in Society 5.0

    This field study research was conducted to analyze Biochemistry lectures from the perspective of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) based university curriculum.  Data collection techniques were carried out through observation of learning implementation in Biochemistry courses, interviews with lecturers teaching Biochemistry courses, and analysis of semester lecture plan (RPS) documents. The participants involved in this study were three lecturers and 83 students of the undergraduate study program of ipa education in one of the universities in Jember Regency. The Biochemistry course is in the upper level compulsory course group with the study of science concepts. From the KKNI perspective, this course needs to increase the Bloom level in the CPMK provided to match the profile of science study program graduates. From an OBE perspective, this course has a contribution to graduate learning outcomes in Specific Skills and supports the profile of graduates as Science Teachers

    Increasing Awareness of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Patterns Through Problem Solving Learning Models in Early Childhood

    This study aims to increase awareness and implementation of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) in early childhood through the implementation of Problem Solving-based learning model. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach which is implemented in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 14 students of group B at TKS Muslimat NU XVIII Pamekasan. Data were collected through direct observation using daily child behavior assessment sheets related to PHBS, and analyzed descriptively-analytical. The results showed a significant increase in the implementation of PHBS. In cycle I, the average success of children in carrying out PHBS indicators was only 49.13%, with most children still in the category of Starting to Develop (MB). After improvements were made to learning strategies and approaches in cycle II, the average success increased to 80.56%, with most children showing behaviors Developing According to Expectations (BSH) and Developing Very Well (BSB). The indicators that experienced the most significant increase included the habit of washing hands with soap, brushing teeth regularly, and consuming vegetables and fruits every day. This study has limitations, especially in measuring behavioral changes consistently due to time constraints and the potential influence of the environment outside the school. However, the results of this study indicate that the Problem Solving learning model is effective in forming healthy living habits from an early age. This approach can be applied more widely in other early childhood education institutions as a preventive effort to build health awareness from an early age as a whole

    The Influence of Knowledge and Perception of Educators\u27 Attitude in Early Childhood Sex Education in Yogyakarta

    Early childhood sex education in Indonesia has become urgent due to rising cases of child sexual violence reported by authorities. Despite its proven role in preventing abuse and supporting healthy development, implementation remains limited, hindered by cultural taboos, lack of educator training, and insufficient institutional support. This study analyzed how early childhood educators’ knowledge and perceptions influence their attitudes toward sex education in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. Using a quantitative correlational approach and simple random sampling, 99 kindergarten teachers responded to an online questionnaire. Multiple linear regression showed knowledge and perception positively and significantly affected attitudes, contributing 36.1% simultaneously. However, many teachers still exhibit hesitant or unsupportive attitudes, influenced by cultural factors and lack of training and support. Limitations include the sample restricted to Bantul teachers, reliance on questionnaires without qualitative data, and focus only on knowledge and perceptions. Future research should expand geographic scope and methods, testing structured training and parental involvement programs. Educational institutions are advised to provide routine training based on local context and guidelines, while schools should engage parents and community leaders to reduce stigma and enhance effective early childhood sex education implementation

    Fostering Deep Learning in Early Childhood Education Through Traditional Games: Joyful, Meaningful, and Mindful Learning

    This study addresses the lack of meaningful planning in early childhood education (ECE) activities, particularly in the integration of traditional games. Traditional games possess rich educational value that can enhance learning experiences by making them joyful, meaningful, and mindful collectively referred to as deep learning in the context of this research, unrelated to artificial intelligence. The study aimed to explore how traditional games can be systematically implemented to foster deep learning in young children. Conducted as classroom action research, the study involved 16 children aged 5–6 years in a kindergarten setting, selected through purposive sampling. The research was carried out over two cycles, with data collected through structured observation and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods to calculate developmental achievement percentages in cognitive, emotional, and social aspects. Results showed an increase in deep learning indicators: joyful learning rose from 62.5% in Cycle 1 to 87.5% in Cycle 2, meaningful learning from 56.3% to 81.3%, and mindful learning from 50.0% to 78.1%. These findings indicate that traditional games, when intentionally integrated into lesson plans, can significantly contribute to holistic child development. The study concludes that achieving deep learning through traditional games requires consistent implementation, teacher commitment, and thoughtful planning aligned with children\u27s developmental stages

    Educational Quality Management in The Implementation of Holistic Integrative Early Childhood School in Jambi Province

    This study aims to examine the quality management of education in the implementation of Holistic Integrative Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in three TKIT institutions, namely TKIT Al-Muthmainnah Jambi City, TKIT Aulia Muaro Bulian, and TKIT Diniyyah Al-Azhar Muaro Bungo Jambi Province. The results of the study indicate that the quality management model of education in the three TKIT institutions integrates aspects of education, health, nutrition, care, and child protection. The principals implement periodic supervision and evaluation, systematic program planning, teacher competency development, and context-based learning experiences with the principle of continuous improvement. Although there are obstacles such as limited teacher understanding, infrastructure, and parental participation, support from parents, the government, universities, and community institutions strengthens the implementation of the program. The principals\u27 strategies include developing teacher competencies, intensive collaboration with parents, learning innovation through out-of-class activities, quality evaluation using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) principle, and collaborative networks with external parties
