Management of the Islamic Boarding School Maskanul Huffadz in Medan City in Managing Social Media as a Media for Da'wa
This study aims to examine the management of social media as a medium for da'wah carried out by Pesantren Maskanul Huffadz in Medan City. The pesantren Maskanul Huffadz in Medan City has utilized social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok to convey and disseminate Islamic messages to a broad audience. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies.
The research findings indicate that social media management at Pesantren Maskanul Huffadz in Medan City involves structured content planning, organized implementation, and periodic evaluation of the effectiveness of uploaded content. The da'wah strategy includes a creative approach through visual content, videos, and writings that are relevant to the audience's needs. The challenges faced include device limitations at Pesantren Maskanul Huffadz in Medan City. However, the pesantren has successfully built a positive image and expanded its da'wah reach through active interactions with social media followers.
This study concludes that effective social media management can serve as a powerful tool in supporting da'wah activities. Pesantren Maskanul Huffadz in Medan City is expected to continue developing digital strategies to address the challenges of the information technology era.
 
Strategi Dakwah Majelis Taklim Al Bayan Dalam Menguatkan Nilai Moderasi Beragama Masyarakat Bintang Bayu Serdang Bedagai
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi dakwah Majelis Taklim Al Bayan dalam menguatkan nilai moderasi beragama pada masyarakat Kecamatan Bintang Bayu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan wawancara dengan pembina Majelis Taklim Al Bayan di Kecamatan Bintang Bayu Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi dakwah yang digunakan Majelis Taklim Al Bayan dalam menguatkan nilai moderasi beragama pada masyarakat Kecamatan Bintang Bayu Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai melalui penyampaian kajian keagamaan dan diskusi interaktif, pendekatan inklusif, dialog lintas agama, pemanfaatan media digital serta kegiatan sosial. Strategi yang dilakukan Majelis Taklim Al Bayan mampu meningkatkan keharmonisan sosial dan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya sikap moderat dalam beragama dengan menerapkan strategi dakwah. Melibatkan masyarakat pada setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat menanamkan rasa toleransi dan saling menghormati sehingga penguatan nilai moderasi beragama dapat diterapkan dengan baik pada masyarakat Kecamatan Bintang Bayu
The Construction of Forgetfulness: Media Framing as an Instrument to Erase Traces of Human Rights Violations in Prabowo Subianto's Image
This study discusses how mainstream media constructs Prabowo Subianto's image through a systematic framing strategy, especially in the context of his track record of past human rights violations and the transformation of his political image since 2014. The main focus of this study is directed at how history is reconstructed through media coverage to fo rm the public's collective memory of image Prabowo Subianto, who now occupies an important position in national politics. Using a qualitative approach through literature study, this study combines the theories of Framing (Entman), Social Construction (Berger & Luckmann), and Collective Memory (Halbwachs & Ricoeur) to analyze the dynamics of the media in shaping public perceptions related to the chosen focus of the problem. The results of this study show that mass media has a central role in reconstructing Prabowo Subianto's image. This process takes place through mainstream media framing strategies that consistently simplify, obscure, and even divert the dark past narrative, while establishing a new persona that suits the needs of contemporary Indonesian politics
Persepsi Mahasiswa Program Studi KPI IAIN Curup Terhadap Peluang Usaha di Bidang Desain Grafis Sebagai Bagian dari Ekonomi Kreatif
This research is a descriptive quantitative study aimed at determining the perceptions of students in the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (KPI) study program at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Curup regarding business opportunities in graphic design as part of the creative economy. This study focuses on KPI students, particularly in semesters 3 and 5. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, analyzing data interpreted in the form of tables and diagrams. The data collection process used a questionnaire distributed online to students. The study found that some of the KPI students in the study had neutral or middle-of-the-road perceptions regarding business opportunities in graphic design. This is influenced by many factors such as student knowledge, support from the surrounding environment, and the perception of these business opportunities derived from each individual. Meanwhile, others in the study sample agreed or had positive perceptions regarding business opportunities in graphic design. Thus, externally, there is a need for increased support from the campus, family, and the environment for students and entrepreneurial activities in this field, while internally, students need to increase their understanding and experience in the fields of entrepreneurship and graphic design.
 
Strengthening Religious Culture at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to Prevent Radicalism in Students' Early
Radicalism poses a significant challenge to national development and social integration in Indonesia, particularly in education. This article explores concrete strategies for strengthening religious culture to prevent radicalism among students from an early age. The study employs a descriptive qualitative field research method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. This research examines the implementation of religious culture at MI Miftahul Akhlaqiyah Semarang and identifies strategies for reinforcing religious culture to combat radicalism among students. The findings indicate that practices such as congregational prayers, Qur'an recitation, and the instillation of noble moral values play a crucial role in strengthening students' religious identity and shielding them from radical ideology. Support from families, communities, and madrasah policies grounded in spiritual values also contribute to this effort despite secular influences and excessive gadget use. Therefore, it is essential to enhance educational policies that integrate religious values, promote active family involvement in character development, and adopt adaptive learning strategies that align with digital advancements to ensure the effective and sustainable internalization of spiritual values.
Alignment of Question Types with Reading Comprehension Aspects
This study analyzes the alignment between question types in the grade X English textbook “Work in Progress” and aspects of reading comprehension. Using a content analysis technique, it investigates how these question types in reading tasks promote the five components of reading comprehension. The results suggest that WH Questions dominate, while Multiple Choice, Cloze Procedure, Skimming, and Scanning are absent, indicating a lack of diversity that may hamper the development of complete reading skills. Regarding reading comprehension aspects, the most frequently occurring aspects are determining the main idea and detailing information, while the aspects of locating references and making inferences tend to be underrepresented. The findings underline the need of incorporating a variety of question types into reading tasks to assist all elements of comprehension. This indicates that textbook authors and curriculum developers should provide resources that encourage a complete approach to improving students' reading abilities
Cross-Cultural Interaction and Its Role in English Language Acquisition: A Case Study at the Indonesian School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
this research examines the students' first-hand experience with multicultural cross-cultural engagement at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL). This dissertation examines the value of such multicultural educative experiences for the students in relation to their English language skills acquisition. English language and culture learners achieve Communication Competence. This study adopted the qualitative case study approach, classroom adjacencies, and in-depth, one-on-one interviews with students and teachers for data collection. The study purposely sampled six students and cross multicultural engagement, intra, and extra school activities. Authentic experiences and reflections were the objectives of the study, and data was collected over one month. It has been shown that students who routinely partake in cross-cultural interaction have better English vocabulary, speaking fluency and overall confidence when using English in everyday scenarios. The participation of teachers was central in enriching these experiences by incorporating cultural elements of the lessons as well as promoting cooperative learning of students with different cultural backgrounds. The research provides evidence on the relevance of multicultural interfacing and its relation to cross cultural interaction in enhancing learners’ language proficiency
Development of a Barcode-Based Student Worksheet (LKPD) for the Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) to Enhance Learning Outcomes of Third-Grade Elementary School
This study aims to develop and evaluate a barcode-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) designed to improve learning outcomes in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) for third-grade elementary school. The problem emerged from observations and interviews conducted at SDN 1 and SDN 2 Merbau Mataram, which revealed that the learning process was still dominated by lecture-based instruction and standard textbooks let to student boredom, difficulty maintaining focus, and limited exposure to technology-supported teaching materials. The study adopted a Research and Development (R&D) approach employing the ADDIE model, encompassing five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation results demonstrated that the barcode-based LKPD was very valid, achieving score of 93.3% from content experts, 95.4% from media experts, and 89.1% from language experts. The effectiveness test demonstrated a moderately effective category, supported by the results of the normality test (0.010 for the small-scale trial; 0.021 for the large-scale trial), a homogeneity test result of 0.199, a t-test significance value of 0.0219, and an N-Gain score of 0.611. Therefore, the barcode-based LKPD developed serve as an innovative alternative learning medium that effectively supports PJOK instructional activities and significantly enhances third-grade elementary school students’ learning outcome
The Implications of Muhammad Arkoun’s Hermeneutical Thought for Hadith Studies: An Examination of the Problematics in Hadiths on Hand-Cutting Punishment and Marriage Guardianship
Hermeneutics as a new methodology plays a vital role in complementing and providing methodological solutions to the legacy of conventional Islamic science, which is considered unable to solve contemporary problems. This paper aims to explain the use of Muhammad Arkoun’s hermeneutics in Hadith studies, especially regarding the issue of the punishment of hand cutting and marriage guardianship in the contemporary context. In reading the two Hadiths, Arkoun’s ideas effectively present a new perspective more relevant to the times. In this way, religion will always be appropriate to human needs throughout time and space. However, the presence of Arkoun’s hermeneutics also leads to the emergence of diverse new interpretations, so that the potential for flooding religious information will be increasingly open. This condition certainly impacts the community; they will have difficulty finding the spiritual information they expect. Secondly, hermeneutics as an effect of Western humanist thought has the potential to change the order of life from God-centred (theocentrism) to human-centred (anthropocentrism) with its intellect. This universe is God’s creation. All of his creations should be subject to the provisions given by God, not the other way round. This triggers a long debate that never ends
Penamaan Rumah Makan di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu : Kajian Lanskap Linguistik
Penamaan pada nama rumah makan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penanda lokasi, tetapi juga merefleksikan nilai budaya, sejarah, serta identitas sosial sebuah komunitas. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam pemahaman mengenai bagaimana proses penamaan ini berlangsung dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk lingual dan nilai-nilai budaya pada penamaan rumah makan di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif dengan pendekatan lanskap linguistik dan konsep nilai budaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode padan dengan teknik Pilah Unsur Penentu dan daya pilah referensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) bentuk lingual dalam papan berdasarkan variasi bahasa terbagi dua, yaitu monolingual (Bahasa Indonesia, Minang, Arab, Mandailing, Jawa, Inggris, Melayu, Batak) dan bilingual (Indonesia – Melayu, Indonesia – Batak, Indonesia – Arab, Indonesia – Mandailing, Indonesia – Minang, Indonesia – Karo, dan Indonesia - Ocu) serta struktur bahasa berupa kata (kata dasar, kata majemuk, kata imbuhan, kata ulang, dan singkatan) dan frasa (frasa nomina, frasa verba, dan frasa adjektiva) dan (2) nilai budaya yang ditemukan yaitu nilai identitas, nilai harmoni, nilai kekeluargaan, nilai religius, nilai harapan, nilai solidaritas, dan nilai nasionalisme
