Bibliotecas hospitalarias: experiencia en programas de biblioterapia como parte de la oferta de servicios
This study aims to propose the implementation of a bibliotherapy program at the Portoviejo Specialty Hospital in Ecuador to improve patients\u27 emotional well-being. The methodology employed was quantitative and descriptive, using a non-experimental design. One hundred and ten participants, including patients\u27 family members and hospital physicians, were surveyed using a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale to assess their perceptions of bibliotherapy. The results showed a high level of support among family members and physicians for incorporating bibliotherapy as a complementary therapy. Most participants perceived reading as a valuable tool for improving patients\u27 emotional stability, especially during hospitalization. The study concludes that bibliotherapy is a viable and beneficial practice with the potential to improve patients\u27 emotional health, strengthen the doctor-patient relationship, and enrich the range of hospital services offered. It also highlights the importance of continuous program evaluation to ensure its positive impact and sustainability.El estudio tiene como objetivo proponer la implementación de un programa de biblioterapia en el Hospital de Especialidades de Portoviejo, Ecuador, con el fin de mejorar el bienestar emocional de los pacientes. La metodología empleada fue cuantitativa y descriptiva, utilizando un diseño no experimental. Se encuestaron 110 participantes, entre familiares de pacientes y médicos del hospital, con un cuestionario estructurado en una escala de Likert para evaluar sus percepciones sobre la biblioterapia. Los resultados mostraron un alto nivel de apoyo entre los familiares y los médicos respecto a la incorporación de la biblioterapia como terapia complementaria. La mayoría de los participantes percibió la lectura como una herramienta valiosa para mejorar la estabilidad emocional de los pacientes, especialmente durante la hospitalización. La conclusión del estudio señala que la biblioterapia es una práctica viable y beneficiosa, con el potencial de mejorar la salud emocional de los pacientes, fortalecer la relación médico- paciente así como enriquecer la oferta de servicios hospitalarios, destacando la importancia de la evaluación continua del programa para asegurar su impacto positivo y sostenibilidad
Avaliaçao de políticas públicas de turismo. Uma análise de contextos transnacionais (Brasil e Espanha) utilizando modelos de equaçoes estructurais
The study evaluated the adequacy of the Tourism Public Policy Assessment Scale (APPT) in transnational contexts (Brazil and Spain), verifying whether the theoretical structure of the constructs adequately reflects local realities and confirms the contribution of the PRODETUR and LEADER programs to sustainable development and the improvement of residents’ quality of life. Structured questionnaires were applied in both countries, and the data were analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), complemented by confirmatory factor analyses. The results indicated an adequate model fit and significant relationships (p < 0.05) among the tested constructs. Strong relationships were observed between social participation and the effectiveness of public policies (f² = 0.333–0.319) and between quality of life and job creation (f² = 0.435–0.371), demonstrating that community involvement is a determining factor for the success of tourism policies. In the Spanish context, the LEADER Initiative showed a significant impact on trust and awareness of policy impacts (f² = 0.316), reinforcing the role of participatory governance in sustainable rural development. It is concluded that the APPT scale is capable of measuring the effects of tourism public policies in different national contexts, contributing to the advancement of comparative evaluation models.

Se aplicaron cuestionarios estructurados en ambos países, y los datos fueron analizados mediante Modelado de Ecuaciones Estructurales (PLS-SEM), complementado con análisis factoriales confirmatorios. Los resultados indicaron un ajuste adecuado de los modelos y relaciones significativas (p < 0,05) entre los constructos evaluados. Se destacaron las fuertes relaciones entre participación social y alcance de las políticas públicas (f² = 0,333–0,319) y entre calidad de vida y generación de empleo (f² = 0,435–0,371), evidenciando que la participación comunitaria es un factor determinante para el éxito de las políticas turísticas. En el contexto español, la Iniciativa LEADER mostró un impacto significativo en la confianza y el conocimiento de los impactos de las políticas (f² = 0,316), reforzando el papel de la gobernanza participativa en el desarrollo rural sostenible. Se concluye que la escala APPT es capaz de medir los efectos de las políticas públicas de turismo en diferentes contextos nacionales, contribuyendo al avance de modelos comparativos de evaluación.

Conclui-se que a escala APPT é capaz de mensurar os efeitos de políticas públicas de turismo em diferentes contextos nacionais, contribuindo para o avanço de modelos comparativos de avaliação.

I Sacri Monti de Piemonte e Lombardía (Italia): Strategie e sfide per la tutela e lo sviluppo di un Patrimonio UNESCO
The Sacri Monti (Sacred Mountains) of Piedmont and Lombardy are architectural complexes in which religion, culture, art, and nature are intimately linked, they offer to the visitors the opportunity to “relive” scenes from the life of Christ, the Virgin Mary, the Saints, or the Mysteries of the Rosary. Thanks to their exceptional and universal value, the nine Sacri Monti located in North-West of Italy, built between the late fifteenth and early eighteenth centuries, were inscribed in 2003 on the UNESCO World Heritage List. They are also part of the network of protected areas of the Piedmont and Lombardy Regions, which are responsible for their historical and artistic preservation as well as for the maintenance and safeguarding of the surrounding environment. The Sacri Monti represent a significant monumental, cultural, and landscape heritage. Their multifaceted management, entailing the involvement of regional authorities, dioceses, municipalities, consultative committees, and so on often proves to be complex and challenging. After a brief discussion on the value of UNESCO sites and the importance of tourism at the Sacri Monti, the authors will focus on their management, highlighting the measures necessary to ensure proper and effective administration, since territorial and administrative peculiarities have generated certain critical issues in the development and enhancement of the Sacri Monti.
Keywords: Conservation, Management, Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy, UNESCO.I Sacri Monti di Piemonte e Lombardia sono complessi architettonici nei quali si fondono intimamente religione, cultura, arte e natura e in cui è possibile “rivivere” scene della vita di Cristo, della Vergine, dei Santi o i misteri del Rosario. Per le loro caratteristiche di eccezionalità e universalità, i nove Sacri Monti presenti nel Nord Ovest italiano, realizzati fra la fine del XV e l’inizio del XVIII secolo, sono stati riconosciuti nel 2003 all’interno della Lista del Patrimonio mondiale dell’Umanità dell’UNESCO e sono inclusi nel sistema delle aree protette delle Regioni Piemonte e Lombardia, che si occupano della loro conservazione storico-artistica e del mantenimento e salvaguardia dell’ambiente circostante. I Sacri Monti costituiscono un importante patrimonio monumentale, culturale e paesaggistico, la cui gestione poliedrica, che coinvolge Regione, Diocesi, Comuni, Soprintendenze, Enti gestori e Comitati consultivi, risulta spesso difficoltosa. Gli autori dopo un breve cenno sul valore dei siti UNESCO e sull’importanza turismo nei Sacri Monti, approfondiranno il tema della loro gestione, soffermandosi sulle misure necessarie per garantirne una corretta e proficua amministrazione, poiché le peculiarità territoriali e amministrative hanno generato alcune criticità nello sviluppo e nella valorizzazione dei Sacri Monti.

Experimentación de recetas históricas sobre teñido de madera: un proyecto colaborativo de retroinnovación universidad-empresa: EXPERIMENTATION WITH HISTORICAL RECIPES FOR WOOD DYEING: A COLLABORATIVE UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRY RETRO-INNOVATION PROJECT.
This study explores the process of reproducing two sixteenth-century wood-dyeing recipes, with the aim of assessing their potential relevance for contemporary industry. The rapid pace of technological change in modern society has led companies to move away from manual processes in pursuit of competitiveness; however, the rigorous study of History as a discipline enables the rediscovery of past practices and the exploration of production methods that respect both working rhythms and environmental resources. The research brings together the expertise of a company specialising in woodcraft and the academic work of a university research group to address the reproduction of two historical wood-dyeing recipes. This collaboration combines the methodological framework of experimental archaeology with the concept of retro-innovation, seeking to transform knowledge from the past into practical solutions for twenty-first-century society.El presente trabajo está dedicado a exponer el proceso de reproducción de dos recetas para teñir la madera, datadas en el siglo XVI, a fin de conocer los resultados que pueden ofrecer para la industria actual. El ritmo de cambio tecnológico de nuestra sociedad ocasiona que las empresas se alejen de los procesos manuales en búsqueda de la competitividad, pero el estudio de la Historia como ciencia permite el conocimiento de las prácticas antiguas y la búsqueda de formas de producción respetuosas con los tiempos de trabajo y los recursos del entorno. Este trabajo conjuga la experiencia de una empresa dedicada al trabajo de la madera con la actividad investigadora de un grupo universitario, a fin de abordar la reproducción de dos recetas históricas sobre teñido de madera. Esta colaboración permite combinar la metodología propia de la arqueología experimental con el enfoque de la retroinnovación, orientándose a transformar el conocimiento del pasado en soluciones útiles para la sociedad del siglo XXI
Percepción de las tareas escolares en las familias: análisis de beneficios, competencias, cambios y malestar según variables sociodemográficas
Homework continues to generate debate due to both the questionable pedagogical value attributed to it and its impact on family dynamics. This descriptive-inferential, cross-sectional, and quantitative study aims to analyze how parents’ age, nationality, employment status, and educational level influence their perceptions of homework, specifically regarding its perceived benefits, associated anxiety and stress, children’s competence to complete tasks, and the changes observed after the COVID-19 lockdown. To this end, 1,787 families across Spain with children enrolled in early childhood, primary, and secondary education completed a 41-item questionnaire using a four-point Likert scale. The results indicate that foreign families report more benefits and more changes after the pandemic, whereas Spanish families report higher levels of stress. Older parents perceive greater competence in their children and report less emotional strain, with these patterns being more consistent among mothers. Regarding educational level, fathers with lower levels of education experience higher stress, while among mothers, differences emerge across benefits, changes, and emotional distress, with higher stress levels among those with less formal education. Finally, employment status does not generate significant differences among fathers, but it does among mothers, as those who are unemployed or working part-time report higher stress and more perceived changes. These findings underscore the need for teachers to develop support strategies that are sensitive to sociodemographic differences.Las tareas escolares continúan generando controversia por la cuestionabilidad de su utilidad pedagógica y por la repercusión que tiene en la dinámica familiar. El presente estudio descriptivo-inferencial, transversal y cuantitativo tiene el propósito principal de analizar cómo influyen la edad, la nacionalidad, la situación laboral y el nivel de estudios de los progenitores en su percepción de las tareas escolares, concretamente en los beneficios, ansiedad y estrés, competencias del menor para afrontar las tareas y los cambios que perciben tras el confinamiento por COVID-19. Para ello, 1,787 familias del territorio español con menores escolarizados en las etapas de educación infantil, primaria y secundaria cumplimentaron un cuestionario de 41 ítems con una escala tipo Likert de uno a cuatro. Los resultados mostraron que las familias extranjeras destacaron más beneficios y cambios tras la pandemia, mientras que las españolas reportaron mayor estrés, y que los progenitores de mayor edad perciben más competencias y menos desgaste emocional, siendo más consistentes en las madres. Según el nivel de estudios, los padres con menor formación manifiestan más estrés, mientras que en las madres se observaron diferencias en beneficios, cambios y malestar, con mayores niveles de estrés entre quienes tienen menor formación. Por último, la situación laboral no generó diferencias significativas en los padres, pero sí en las madres, donde las desempleadas o con jornada parcial mostraron mayor estrés y más cambios percibidos. Estos hallazgos refuerzan la necesidad de que el profesorado articule estrategias de acompañamiento sensibles a las diferencias sociodemográficas
La traducción del verbo modal alemán sollen al español: Un estudio de corpus
This study focuses on the translation of the German modal verb sollen into Spanish. It is framed within applied translation studies, making use of both linguistic theories of translation and of corpus-based translation studies. The study begins with a detailed analysis of the broad functional spectrum covered by this verb and previous analyses of sollen and its translation into Ibero-Romance languages. The main analysis focuses on a sample of 553 entries extracted from the corpus PaGeS, which were translated by professional translators. The results reveal a wide range of linguistic resources used in the translation of sollen, which vary according to the function of the verb in each context. However, the strong presence of certain equivalences, mainly the frequent use of the modal verb «deber», suggests that the use of stable correspondences prevails to the detriment of more idiomatic solutions. The implications of this study for translation teaching (and hence translation practice) are that teachers should promote a thorough analysis of the function of each occurrence of sollen for a deep understanding of its use, and resort to real examples and corpora as didactic tools to make students acquainted with different translational options.El presente estudio analiza la traducción del verbo modal alemán sollen al español. Se enmarca en los estudios de traducción aplicada, haciendo uso tanto de teorías traductológicas de corte lingüístico como de estudios basados en corpus. Partiendo de un análisis pormenorizado del amplio espectro funcional que abarca este verbo y de estudios anteriores centrados en este verbo y su traducción a lenguas iberorromances, analiza las equivalencias empleadas por traductores profesionales en un total de 553 entradas extraídas del corpus PaGeS. Los resultados revelan una gran diversidad de recursos lingüísticos empleados para la traducción de sollen, que varían según la función del verbo en el contexto. Sin embargo, la fuerte presencia de determinadas equivalencias, principalmente el uso frecuente del verbo modal «deber», sugieren que prevalece el uso de correspondencias estables en detrimento de soluciones más idiomáticas. Algunas de las implicaciones de este estudio para la didáctica (y, por ende, la práctica traductora) son la necesidad, por parte de los docentes, del análisis exhaustivo de la función de cada ocurrencia de sollen para una profunda comprensión de su uso, así como el empleo de tanto de ejemplos reales como de corpus en forma de herramientas didácticas para ofrecer diferentes opciones de traducción
The Early Medieval Image of the Earth and Its Transformations in the Liber divinorum operum (Visio II.1.1–7)
The fifth vision (II.1) of Hildegard’s of Bingen Liber divinorum operum presents a model of worldly geography. The present paper examines possible early medieval referents for this vision, such as the idea of the five climatic zones of the world, the place and form of the earth, and the Isidorian rotae of the year and of the mundus-annus-homo. These antecedents, transmitted through works on natural knowledge, are deeply transformed in Hildegard’s vision. She describes first a distinct model of the world as having five parts and then correlates these parts with the five senses and the human acts. Furthermore, the climatic zones are transformed into places of reward and condemnation in the afterlife. Through the five senses Hildegard accomplishes thus a shift from the outer geography towards the soul and its actions.The fifth vision (II.1) of Hildegard’s of Bingen Liber divinorum operum presents a model of worldly geography.
