Casa-Cárcel: una mirada actual sobre la situación de mujeres en prisión domiciliaria en Argentina
Full text linkThis paper explores the operation of the prison system in Argentina, to analyze the situation of women prisoners in general, and those who are in house arrest in particular. Through a qualitative methodology, will expose contributions of the Branch of Released of the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy (UTEP), who accompany women in home detention looking for improve their life and detention conditions. Some of the findings of this work are the sexist bias of Argentine criminal law, linked to the reproduction of gender stereotypes associated with care, and the relevance of the difficulties in accessing paid jobs for this population.
El presente trabajo explora el funcionamiento del sistema carcelario en Argentina, para analizar la situación de las mujeres presas en general, y de las que están en prisión domiciliaria en particular. A través de una metodología cualitativa, se expondrán los aportes de la Rama de Liberados y Liberadas de la Unión de Trabajadores de la Economía Popular (UTEP), quienes acompañan a mujeres en prisión domiciliaria buscando mejorar sus condiciones de detención y de vida. Entre los hallazgos de este trabajo se encuentran el sesgo sexista de la legislación penal argentina, vinculada a la reproducción de estereotipos de género asociados al cuidado y la relevancia de las dificultades en el acceso a trabajos remunerados para esta población

Full text linkMediatization of the feminist agenda has gained an unexpected strength in the past few years, and a fortunately effervescent issue in such a context is the place of trans people within feminisms. In other words, it seems both the question —and struggle— to be answered —and won— would be either: to whom does feminism belong? Or Who can be a feminist? This paper attempts to retake those notions that materialist feminists propose on the subject of «sex», and to answer why they prefer to talk about «sexual difference» over «gender», and, finally, to take up the discussion on the materialization of sex. This paper also constitutes an effort to provide an insight and aid nurture the debates that presently exhaust themselves and within their own rhetoric.En los últimos años la mediatización de la agenda feminista ha cobrado una fuerza insospechada y un tema efervescente y afortunadamente no concluyente resulta ser el lugar que ocupan las personas trans en los feminismos. Dicho de otra manera, parece que la pregunta (y batalla) que se pretende responder (y ganar) es la siguiente: ¿a quién le pertenece el feminismo? O bien ¿quién puede ser feminista?. Este texto busca retomar las nociones que las feministas materialistas ofrecen sobre `sexo´, se trata de responder por qué prefieren llamar al género `diferencia sexual´ y, finalmente, retomar la discusión sobre la materialización del sexo en las experiencias corporalizadas. Militancia política y feminismo: rutas desafiantes para mujeres militantes
Full text linkThe article is an investigation into political militancy and the way in which women relate to feminism in two generations of militant women in Chile. In-depth interviews with a biographical approach were analyzed with eight women of two generations: a first generation of women with political activism in the 60s and 70s and after the coup d’état of 1973. The second generation of women with political militancies in the mid-2000s and are active at the time of the social outburst of October 18, 2019. Based on a non-experimental design and interpretative qualitative methods were used. A brief historicization of women and political participation from the beginning of the 20th century to the present in the country is presented, and it’s analyzed the relationship that women established with the sex/gender political positioning as woman and feminism in their militant trajectories, the obstacles that had found within the political parties and the main resistance strategies that have been developed to continue with political militancy.El artículo es una indagación en la militancia política y la forma en que las mujeres se relacionan con el feminismo en dos generaciones de militantes en Chile. Se analizaron entrevistas en profundidad con un enfoque biográfico a ocho mujeres de dos generaciones. La primera, corresponde a mujeres con militancias políticas en las décadas de 1960 y 1970, y luego del golpe de Estado de 1973. La segunda son mujeres con militancias políticas de mediados de los 2000 y activas al momento del estallido social del 18 de octubre de 2019. Se utilizó una metodología cualitativa, un enfoque interpretativo y un diseño no experimental. Se describe una breve historización sobre las mujeres y la participación política desde comienzos del siglo XX hasta la actualidad en el país y se analiza la relación que las mujeres establecen con el posicionamiento político sexo-genérico como mujeres y el feminismo en sus trayectorias militantes, los obstáculos que han encontrado en los partidos políticos y las principales estrategias de resistencia que han desarrollado para continuar con su militancia

Full text linkThe purpose of this article is to recover the experiences of exiled women who had to leave Argentina for political reasons during the seventies of the last century and who later joined the feminist movement that re-emerged in the post-dictatorial period. For this purpose, we rely mainly on interviews conducted by the author as well as on some published testimonies. To do so, we make a tour through the studies on exile in our country emphasizing a necessary gender perspective, which we find more developed in studies of other Latin American countries. We then focus on the experience of exile and the encounter with feminism in the host countries and the impact this had on their lives and subsequent militancy.La propuesta de este artículo es recuperar las experiencias de mujeres exiliadas que tuvieron que alejarse de Argentina por motivos políticos durante la década de los setenta del siglo pasado y que luego se incorporaron al movimiento feminista que resurgió en el período posdictatorial. Para eso se recurre fundamentalmente a entrevistas realizadas por la autora así como a algunos testimonios publicados. Para ello hacemos un recorrido por los estudios sobre exilios en nuestro país enfatizando una necesaria perspectiva de género, que hallamos más desarrollada en estudios de otros países de América Latina. Luego nos centramos la experiencia del exilio y del encuentro con el feminismo en los países de acogida y el impacto que esto tuvo en sus vidas y posteriores militancias
Casal estranho. Cercos sobre binarismo nas histórias jornalísticas de Alfonsina Storni e Roberto Arlt
No full textAt the beginning of the 20th century, marriage is the ideal to which all people aspire, with which it turns out to be a useful device in controlling sex, pleasures and uses of the body. It involves fixed and binary identities that are basically timeless and ahistorical. In this article I will analyze the dissimilar modes of resistance that can be read in the chronicles of Alfonsina Storni and Roberto Arlt, written in the 1920s and 1930s. My hypothesis is that Arlt reproduces to the grotesque the language of misogyny while Storni questions the ideas that circulate about the semantic chain that implies marriage-family-engagement. And both of them, with their differences, highlight the artificial character of the links between the sexes, revealing the class and gender mandates that weigh on them. A inicios del siglo XX, el matrimonio es el ideal al que aspiran todas las personas con lo cual resulta ser un dispositivo útil en control del sexo, de los placeres y usos del cuerpo. Este supone identidades fijas y binarias que son básicamente atemporales y ahistóricas. En este artículo analizaré los modos de resistencia disímiles que se leen en las crónicas de Alfonsina Storni y de Roberto Arlt, escritas en las décadas del 20 y del 30. Mi hipótesis es que Arlt reproduce hasta el grotesco la lengua de la misoginia mientras Storni cuestiona las ideas que circulan sobre la cadena semántica que supone matrimonio- familia- noviazgo-. Y ambos, con sus diferencias ponen en evidencia el carácter artificial de los vínculos entre los sexos, develando los mandatos de clase y de género que pesan sobre ellos. No início do século XX, o casamento é o ideal a que todas as pessoas aspiram, com o qual ele se revela um dispositivo útil no controlo do sexo, dos prazeres e dos usos do corpo. Envolve identidades fixas e binárias que são basicamente intemporais e a-históricas. Neste artigo vou analisar os diferentes modos de resistência que podem ser lidos nas crónicas de Alfonsina Storni e Roberto Arlt, escritas nas décadas de 1920 e 1930. A minha hipótese é que Arlt reproduz ao grotesco a linguagem da misoginia enquanto Storni questiona as ideias que circulam sobre a cadeia semântica que implica o casamento-família-empenhamento. E ambos, com as suas diferenças, realçam o carácter artificial das ligações entre os sexos, revelando os mandatos de classe e de género que pesam sobre eles.
