SOSIALISASI PENGGUNAAN KONSTRUKSI DINDING PENAHAN TANAH DI DAERAH SAWAH PASANG SURUT DESA BANYU URIP TANJUNG LAGO BANYUASIN
Banyu Urip Village, located in Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency, is one of the agricultural areas affected by tidal fluctuations. The unique hydrological conditions, influenced by the tides of the Musi and Banyuasin River Basins, cause high variations in groundwater levels and soil saturation. The dominant soil types in this area are soft clay and peat, which are classified as problematic soils due to their low bearing capacity and high compressibility. These characteristics often lead to damage to agricultural infrastructure such as irrigation channels, embankments, and retaining structures. This community service activity aimed to increase public understanding of appropriate retaining wall selection and construction methods for tidal rice field areas. The socialization involved educational sessions on soil characteristics, the function of retaining walls, and the use of locally available materials such as stone and gabions. The results showed an improvement in community knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of soil stability and the use of appropriate construction techniques to maintain agricultural productivity and infrastructure sustainability
STRATEGI PERCEPATAN DALAM PENURUNAN STUNTING DI PERDESAAN MELALUI OPTIMALISASI DASHAT (STUDI KASUS CEGAH STUNTING)
Stunting remains a strategic issue in human resource development in Indonesia, especially in rural areas with limited access to nutrition, health, and sanitation services. Through the Healthy Kitchen to Overcome Stunting (DASHAT) Program, the government seeks to optimize community empowerment in meeting family nutritional needs based on local foods. This community service article aims to describe strategies to accelerate stunting reduction through the optimization of DASHAT implementation as a form of cross-sector collaboration in promoting nutritional and health security in rural communities. Activities were carried out through a participatory and educational approach involving the community, posyandu cadres, and health workers, with a focus on increasing nutritional knowledge, healthy food processing, and strengthening the role of families in preventing stunting. The results of the community service show that optimizing the DASHAT program can increase community understanding of balanced nutrition, expand the use of local food ingredients, and strengthen clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS). The implementation of the program also encourages the formation of a collaborative network between local governments, the private sector, and the community in accelerating the sustainable reduction of stunting. Thus, the strategy to accelerate the reduction of stunting through the optimization of DASHAT is effective in increasing awareness, participation, and family resilience to chronic nutritional risks in children under five in rural areas

Analysis of Nonlinear Discrete Dynamic Systems in the Cournot Duopoly Model With the Influence of Promotion Costs
In the field of economics, Cournot duopoly is part of an oligopoly market structure consisting of tw firms that have dominant control over a market. Competition between the two firms occurs to determine the optimal quantity of goods to maximize profits. Therefore, an appropriate market strategy is needed to achieve the company’s targets. Based on this issue, mathematical modeling is used to analyze the relationship between the two companies. One important factor in introducing a product is promotional activities. Promotions are carried out as a company strategy to attract consumer attention. Then, if there is an increase in demand for goods from consumers, the company will incur marginal costs. Thus, research is conducted that discusses a discrete Cournot duopoly model in predicting the optimal quantity of goods, with the influence of promotional costs and marginal costs in setting market strategies. The research uses quantitative methods in the form of literature studies and analysis of discrete dynamic systems, which includes determining equilibrium points, local stability analysis of equilibrium points, and numerical simulation of the discrete Cournot duopoly model
Analysis of Premium Reserves in Whole Life and Term Life Insurance Using the New Jersey Prospective Method
Human life is constantly exposed to risks such as illness, accidents, and death, which create financial uncertainties for individuals and families. Life insurance serves as an essential financial instrument to mitigate these risks by transferring potential liabilities to insurance companies. This study analyzes premium reserves for whole life and term life insurance using the New Jersey Prospective Method, applying a 6% interest rate and the 2023 Indonesian Mortality Table (TMPI) as the basis of calculation. Actuarial commutation functions are employed to compute annuity values, single net premiums, annual net premiums, and reserve allocations across different ages. The results indicate that reserve values increase with age, reflecting higher mortality risks, with whole life insurance showing a sharper escalation compared to term life insurance. The New Jersey Prospective Method demonstrates accuracy and consistency in reserve estimation, particularly by setting zero reserves in the first policy year, thereby supporting initial liquidity. These findings highlight the method’s effectiveness in maintaining financial stability and readiness of insurance companies to meet future claims and long-term obligations to policyholders
Integrating CLIL for Enhanced Vocabulary Learning
The purpose of this study was to investigate how the CLIL approach improved students' vocabulary. The issue to be answered is whether the CLIL approach has a substantial impact on student vocabulary. The working hypothesis provides a rough solution to this question: using the CLIL technique improves students' vocabulary in a good and meaningful way. The study employed a quasi-experimental design, with a control and an experimental class. Tests were used to collect data, both before and after. Pre-test data were obtained before to the CLIL method's implementation, whereas post-test data were collected following its implementation. Based on the results of the normality and homogeneity tests, the data were declared credible for hypothesis testing. In this study, the differences in vocabulary acquisition between the control and experimental classes were determined using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05. Based on the research findings, many recommendations are made to English instructors, students, and other researchers. English teachers might explore the advantages of adopting CLIL strategies to help pupils improve their vocabulary. Students can also employ CLIL approaches to enhance their vocabulary learning. Other researchers should consider the findings and limitations of this study while studying students at various levels. Classroom action research with the goal of increasing student vocabulary
Critical Notes on the "Tangled Threads" of Norms for Preventing and Handling Sexual Violence in the Higher Education Environment
This paper aims to analyze, examine and criticize the norms of the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence which in substance still leaves a number of "tangled threads" to be resolved. The approach methods used in this paper are the statute approach, the conceptual approach, and the analytical approach. The Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence, which was passed in 2022, actually aims to prevent and handle sexual violence in the university environment. However, the existence of these norms still leaves various problems that should be resolved so that the mission of the norm can be carried out effectively. These problems include, first, the nuances of contadicitio in terminis between the norm numbering and the substance that is the object of the norm. Second, the extension of terms in the norm is excessive and not in line with the true meaning of sexual violence. Third, objects (acts) that are categorized as sexual violence deviate from the proper legal concept. Fourth, it still opens gaps and opportunities for sexual violence to occur with the phrase "without the consent of the victim". Fifth, it raises the potential for a conflict of derogation principles between the lex superior derogate legi inferiori and the lex specialis derogate legi generali. Therefore, in the future, it is necessary to make revisions for the sake of improvement, so that the problem in question can be solved properly
Keadilan Restoratif Implementation of the Concept of Restorative Justice in the Settlement of Misdemeanor Crimes
Restorative justice is an alternative approach in the criminal justice system that focuses on recovering losses suffered by victims, the responsibility of the perpetrator, and the involvement of the community in solving criminal acts. This approach does not focus on punishment, but on the restoration of relationships damaged by crime and participatory settlement between victims, perpetrators and social communities. The unity of the indigenous peoples of Southwest Maluku Regency adheres to the culture of Kalwedo and Snyoli Lyeta/Niolilieta/Hiolilieta/Siolilieta (coexistence well) as a culture that is also the highest guideline of life and kinship applied in daily life that regulates kinship relations between individuals and between families in the integrity of life as a customary community. This study is an Empirical Juridical Research that explores the issues through conceptual, statutory, and case approaches. Based on these methods, conclusions and recommendations are formulated. The research and analysis employ the framework of the Criminal Justice System, the concept of Restorative Justice, Indigenous Communities, and the Theory of Balance in assessing the implementation of restorative justice in resolving minor offenses. The findings confirm that in every minor criminal offense committed within the indigenous legal community of Southwest Maluku, axiological values namely the customary values of Kalwedo and Snyoli Lyeta/Niolilieta/Hiolilieta/Siolilieta take precedence over national criminal law (material criminal law). These values serve as legal principles to resolve the offense through non-penal means based on the concept of restorative justice, by imposing customary obligations that require the offender to compensate the victim. This form of simple justice, carried out through customary proceedings, aims to halt the formal criminal process, thereby reducing the burden on law enforcement subsystems and minimizing the state’s financial expenditure related to the prosecution and imprisonment of minor offenders
Law Enforcement on Consumer Protection for Online Counterfeit Goods Purchases
The rapid advancement of information technology has brought significant changes to the world of commerce, particularly through e-commerce. Online buying and selling systems offer convenience to consumers, but they also present new challenges, one of which is the increasing circulation of counterfeit goods. In Indonesia, consumer protection regulations are outlined in Law Number 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection and Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions. However, despite the clear regulations, the implementation of consumer protection in online transactions still faces obstacles, especially in regions such as Samarinda. This study aims to analyze consumer protection laws in Samarinda, focusing on the roles of Non-Governmental Consumer Protection Agency Borneo and the Police. The findings indicate that protection efforts include consumer education regarding their rights and complaint channels to address counterfeit goods cases. However, low consumer awareness remains a major challenge to the effectiveness of these protections. Moving forward, there is a need to enhance education about the risks of online transactions and improve coordination between agencies to minimize online fraud. Consumer protection depends not only on regulations but also on the active role of society and relevant institutions in creating a safer e-commerce ecosystem. Collaboration among agencies, along with heightened consumer awareness, is key to tackling the problem of counterfeit goods in the online marketplace
