KAJIAN SOSIAL DAN EKONOMI NELAYAN PUKAT CINCIN DI PANGKALAN PENDARATAN IKAN PEUDADA, KABUPATEN BIREUN
This study aims to examine the social and economic conditions of purse seine fishermen at the Fish Landing Base Peudada, Bireuen Regency. The data collection methods used include observation and interviews, employing the Accidental Sampling technique with 40 active fishermen. The data gathered consists of primary data obtained through direct interviews and secondary data from relevant literature. The results of the study show that the purse seine fishermen at Fish Landing Base Peudada have an annual net income of approximately IDR 759,762,000, with a monthly income of around IDR 63,313,500. However, their income per fishing trip is only about IDR 6,331,350, and when divided equally, each fisherman receives approximately IDR 316,568 per trip. Although the monthly income is close to the provincial minimum wage, the average household expenses of the fishermen amount to IDR 3,685,000, indicating that they are still economically insecure. From a social perspective, the study reveals that the majority of the fishermen are aged between 36-45 years, with 53% of them having completed only junior high school. Additionally, 75% of the fishermen live in permanent houses. The longest fishing experience is more than 20 years for 30% of the fishermen. The study finds that the economic conditions of the fishermen are far from prosperous, influenced by high household expenses and the instability of their participation in every fishing trip

The results show that the development level of the community supervisory group Duurstede remains at the initial stage (40.35%), with smaller portions of components at the developing stage (19.30%), consolidation stage (22.81%), and sustainability stage (17.54%). This study concludes that the community supervisory group Duurstede requires comprehensive institutional strengthening, particularly in the provision of infrastructure, operational funding, and capacity-building for its members. The government and supporting institutions are recommended to enhance guidance, training, and facility support to improve the effectiveness of the community supervisory groups in marine and fisheries resource surveillance
Phytochemical and Bioactivity Study of Sargassum duplicatum as a Candidate Natural Biolarvicide Compound
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an endemic disease found in nearly all provinces of Indonesia. The occurrence of DHF is closely associated with climatic factors on spatial, temporal, and spatio-temporal scales. The search for new methods to eliminate the sources of dengue virus transmission is both urgent and essential. Sargassum duplicatum, a species of brown seaweed native to Indonesia, has been shown to possess potential antioxidant properties. This alga contains bioactive compounds, including steroids, alkaloids, phenols, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins, which are suspected to be toxic to insects. This study aimed to evaluate the larvicidal activity and determine the LC₅₀ and LC₉₀ values of ethanol extract from Sargassum duplicatum against the larvae of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. A completely randomized design (CRD) was employed, consisting of five treatment groups with three replications each. A total of 300 third-instar Aedes aegypti larvae were introduced into treatment containers containing predetermined concentrations of Sargassum duplicatum ethanol extract, with each container holding 20 larvae. Observational data were analyzed using ANOVA and probit analysis. Phytochemical screening of the ethanol extract from Sargassum duplicatum confirmed the presence of flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and alkaloids. The extract demonstrated increased larval mortality in Aedes aegypti with increasing concentrations. A concentration of 75 ppm exhibited larvicidal efficacy comparable to that of 1% Abate. The LC₅₀ value of the ethanol extract was calculated to be 9.098 ppm, while the LC₉₀ value was 20.485 ppm
Organoleptic Test of Nutmeg Pulp Residue Tea (Myristica fragrans Houtt) As a Nutriceutical
Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt) is a native Indonesian spice, and its pulp is often discarded as waste after juice production. However, the residue still contains essential oils and active compounds such as flavonoids, phenols, and myristicin, which may benefit human health. This study aims to evaluate the potential of nutmeg pulp residue as a nutraceutical herbal tea through organoleptic testing, assessing aroma, taste, clarity, and color. The research employed a completely randomized design with three replications. Organoleptic and hedonic tests were carried out on 25 panelists using Friedman and Wilcoxon tests. Results showed that tea clarity scored highest in preference (3.72), followed by aroma (2.28), taste (2.18), and color (1.82). The nutmeg pulp tea was generally acceptable, although improvements in color and flavor intensity are needed. This innovation offers an ecological and economic solution for waste utilization, with potential for rural product diversification and health benefits

Settlement of Domestic Violence Crimes Through Restorative Justice
Domestic violence (DV) is a serious problem that impacts victims not only physically but also psychologically and socially. In Indonesia, domestic violence is a pressing social issue that requires effective resolution. According to data from the National Commission on Violence Against Women, the rate of domestic violence in Indonesia continues to rise, encompassing physical, psychological, sexual, and economic violence. The persistence of this problem indicates that the system for handling domestic violence cases still faces numerous challenges. This research is empirical and juridical. The research method is descriptive-analytical. The legal sources used are primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and secondary legal materials. Data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires. The results indicate that resolving domestic violence cases through restorative justice involves several key factors: Investigators consider the severity of the violence, the perpetrator's willingness to take responsibility, and the goodwill of both parties to resolve the issue peacefully. Investigators at the Aru Islands Police Department focus on restoring relationships between perpetrators and victims, with the goal of reducing long-term social and psychological impacts and avoiding a backlog of cases in court. Restorative Justice has demonstrated significant effectiveness in resolving Domestic Violence (DV) cases when implemented appropriately. This approach provides space for perpetrators to take responsibility for their actions, for victims to receive psychological recovery, and to repair damaged relationships. However, its effectiveness depends heavily on several factors, such as the perpetrator's readiness to accept responsibility, the victim's willingness to participate, and support from law enforcement officials in terms of counseling and guidance
Embargo as an Act of International Law Enforcement
,,This research was motivated by the invasion carried out by Russia against Ukraine, which caused other countries such as the United States and its allies to take a stance by imposing an embargo on Russia. The purpose of this study is to determine whether an embargo can be implemented as a law enforcement measure and its impact on countries that violate international law. The research method used in this study is normative legal research, namely by analyzing legal problems in laws and regulations that are related to the problem being studied. The problem approach used is a conceptual approach, using primary legal material sources as a reference to complete the writing and collection of legal materials carried out using library techniques. Based on the research results, an embargo can be carried out as an international law enforcement measure by the Security Council as regulated in Article 41 of the UN Charter as an action that does not use armed force (non-military) in maintaining world security and peace. An embargo is an international law enforcement measure that is soft in the sense that this action is gentle and not harsh like the use of aggressive military. The impact of an embargo on a country that violates international law against another country such as Russia does not have a significant impact. However, the impact of implementing an embargo is that the embargo can put pressure on countries that violate international law to return to complying with international law. The implementation of an embargo must be carried out carefully so that it does not have a broad impact on human rights such as women, children and the elderly
