Poverty and Environmental Degradation in Post-Conflict Aceh: A Socioeconomic Panel Data Study of 23 Regions
The decline in environmental quality has become a critical issue in various regions, including post-conflict Aceh, which is simultaneously grappling with poverty and environmental degradation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between poverty and environmental degradation within a socio-economic framework, focusing on 23 districts and municipalities in Aceh Province during the period of 2017–2022. Using panel data, the analysis employs the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) and Random Effect Model (REM) to test two main hypotheses regarding the influence of socio-economic variables on environmental quality and poverty levels. The findings indicate that poverty has a significant negative impact on environmental quality, whereas economic growth shows a positive influence in improving environmental conditions. These results underscore poverty as a key driver of environmental degradation and, conversely, highlight how poor environmental quality exacerbates poverty over the long term. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative approach, combining inter-regional panel data in a post-conflict setting with socio-economic statistical modeling—an approach rarely applied systematically in the context of Aceh. This study recommends the formulation of integrated policies that not only focus on poverty alleviation but also promote sustainable improvements in environmental quality. The implications of this research contribute to the advancement of social sciences and humanities, particularly in shaping inclusive development strategies grounded in ecological justice for vulnerable post-conflict regions

Pelatihan Bantuan Hidup Dasar pada Komunitas Pecinta Alam di Kota Ambon
Abstract. Environmental and adventure communities (EAC) are often exposed to emergency conditions, risking life-threatening events such as cardiac arrest due to trauma. This community needs adequate knowledge and skills in basic life support (BLS). The purpose of this training was to improve the knowledge and skills of BLS, especially cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for EAC members in Ambon City. Three EACs were joining this training activity. In this training, the trainer presents the theory of BLS including CPR, followed by role-play based on certain emergency scenarios in small groups while practicing directly on mannequins. The knowledge of the participants was obtained through CPR knowledge questionnaire data taken before and after the training. The data shows the average value obtained is 47.5 before the training and 85.4 after the training is conducted. The percentage of participants with high knowledge also increased from 28.6% to 77.4% after the training with a p-value <0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that this training provides benefits to increase the knowledge of participants about BLS and CPR so that it is expected to be a provision in dealing with emergency problems while carrying out activities in the wild.

Antara Harga, Promosi, dan Gaya Hidup: Faktor-Faktor Pembentuk Perilaku Konsumtif Mahasiswa di Era Marketplace Digital
This study explores the factors shaping consumptive behavior among university students in the digital marketplace era, focusing on price, promotion, and lifestyle. Triggered by the growing trend of online shopping among students—particularly via Shopee—this research employs a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with six Communication Science students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Pattimura University, Ambon. Findings reveal that consumptive behavior is influenced by both internal and external factors in purchase decision-making. Internal factors include product relevance, affordable pricing, attractive promotions (e.g., discounts and cashback), and fast delivery services. External factors encompass cultural values, social interactions, reference group influence, personal lifestyle, and psychological aspects such as motivation and perception. The novelty of this study lies in its comprehensive mapping of digital lifestyle influences on local student consumer behavior, a subject rarely addressed in previous research. These findings contribute to the broader discourse in social sciences and humanities by deepening the understanding of youth digital consumer dynamics. The study highlights the need for digital consumption literacy and critical awareness of online marketing strategies among university students
MODELING DEMOCRACY INDEX IN INDONESIA WITH MULTIVARIATE ADAPTIVE REGRESSION SPLINE APPROACH
Democracy is a system of government where citizens participate in political decision-making through freely elected representatives. To measure the quality of democracy in Indonesia, the Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) is used as a composite indicator reflecting various aspects of political freedoms, civil liberties, and governance. The IDI score declined from 6.71 in 2022 to 6.53 in 2023, the lowest in 14 years, indicating disruption in Indonesia’s democracy. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the root causes of the disruption in Indonesia’s democracy through several indicators. This study analyzes the relationship between predictor variables, including socio-economic and development indicators, and IDI using the Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS) approach. This study uses the MARS method by considering six predictor variables, namely the Human Development Index (HDI), Gender Empowerment Index (GEI), Information and Communication Technology Development Index (ICT-DI), Press Freedom Index (PFI), Poverty Depth Index (PDI), and High School Completion Rate (HSCR). The data used is secondary data from 34 Indonesian provinces in 2023 obtained from the Statistics Indonesia-BPS. The results showed that the best model was obtained with a combination of BF = 12, MI = 3, and MO = 1 resulting in a GCV value of 11.27 and R2 of 80%. MARS model interpretation identifies the significant influence of social and economic indicators on IDI and is able to explain 80% of data variability. The significance test shows that all predictor variables significantly affect the IDI, with the highest level of importance on the ICT-DI variable. Therefore, improving ICT-DI in each province needs to be a major concern as a strategic step to improve the democracy index in Indonesia and support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions
THE RAINBOW VERTEX-CONNECTION NUMBERS OF WHEEL-SHIELD GRAPHS
Let be a nontrivial simple connected graph, be an edge of and be an integer greater than or equal to . A path of order , denoted by , is a graph whose vertices can be labelled such that . A -shield graph is a graph obtained by and copies of such that the edge of -th embedded to -th edge of by embedding to and to . A path in a vertex-colored graph is said to be rainbow-vertex path if every internal vertex in the path has different color. A vertex-colored graph is said to be rainbow-vertex connected if for every pair of vertices there exists a rainbow-vertex path connecting them. The rainbow- vertex connection number of , denoted by , is the minimum colors needed to make rainbow-vertex connected. In this paper, we determine the rainbow-vertex connection numbers of of wheel-shield graphs , specifically finding that the number ranges from to depending on the order of the wheel
COMPARISON ANALYSIS OF CLAYTON, GUMBEL, AND FRANK COPULA FOR MODELING THE DEPENDENCE BETWEEN BBCA CLOSING PRICE AND INDONESIA MACROECONOMIC FACTORS
PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk is a company in Indonesia with the biggest market capitalization. These advantages attract investors to buy PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) shares. However, fluctuating share prices can lead to both gains and losses, where these are not entirely caused by the company’s finances, but also by the country’s macroeconomic conditions. Therefore, this study aims to examine the dependency between BBCA closing price and macroeconomic indicators, which are limited on only three macroeconomic variables, consists of inflation, interest, and USD-IDR exchange rate. This study compares the Clayton, Gumbel, and Frank copula to analyze the dependence characteristics between two non-normally distributed variables based on the highest log-likelihood value. The data used are monthly data from 2021 to 2023, consists of inflation and interest rate from Bank Indonesia website, USD-IDR exchange rate from Satu Data Kementerian Perdagangan website, alongside BBCA closing price from yahoo finance website. Based on the analysis, the best copula models to describe the relationship between each macroeconomic factor (inflation, interest, exchange rate) and BBCA closing price respectively is Clayton copula with parameter 2.042, Frank copula with parameter 10.3, and Frank copula with parameter 5.891. These findings indicate that inflation shows a strong dependence with BBCA closing price when both variables are low, while exchange rate and interest rate exhibit strong dependence with BBCA closing price when these variables are high. It provides valuable insights into the asymmetric relationships between macroeconomic conditions and stock prices, offering practical relevance for investors and policymakers
CERTAIN INDEXES OF UNIT GRAPH IN INTEGER MODULO RINGS WITH SPECIFIC ORDERS
Topological indices quantify structural properties of graphs and find wide applications in chemistry, physics, and network analysis. This study investigates several key indices—namely the Harary Index, Wiener Index, Randić Index, Schultz Index, and the Zagreb Indices—within the context of unit graphs derived from the ring of integers modulo. General formulas for these indices are established, demonstrating how they reflect the combinatorial and algebraic characteristics of unit graphs. Each index captures distinct structural aspects: the Wiener Index evaluates global connectivity and correlates with molecular stability and boiling points; the Randić Index highlights molecular branching relevant to enzyme activity; the Harary Index models electronic interactions through distance reciprocals; and the Zagreb Indices and Schultz Index provide insights into bonding properties and molecular interactions. By linking these indices to unit graphs, this work reinforces the synergy between graph theory and algebra, offering a systematic framework to interpret algebraic structures through graph-based invariants. The results not only contribute to theoretical understanding but also suggest potential applications in modeling chemical compounds and complex networks, paving the way for further exploration of topological indices in other algebraically defined graphs
ETHNOMATHEMATICS IN ARCHITECTURE: EXPLORING GEOMETRY AND PATTERNS IN THE WE TENRI OLLE TOMB
This study explores the application of ethnomathematics in the We Tenri Olle Tomb, located in Pancana Village, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. The study aims to identify mathematical concepts, particularly geometry, embedded within the tomb’s architectural elements. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through direct observation and literature review. The results show that the tomb's design reflects the application of planar geometry concepts, such as rectangular walls, and spatial geometry, such as a semi-spherical dome. Geometric transformations, including reflections on walls, translations in floral patterns, and rotations in window designs, were also identified. The tomb design embodies the dynamic cultural acculturation between the local Bugis culture and European colonial influences while symbolizing the diplomatic relationship between the Tanete Kingdom and the Netherlands. This study contributes to ethnomathematics by connecting cultural heritage with mathematical concepts and providing insights for developing culture-based mathematics education to enhance students’ understanding of geometry and appreciation for local traditions
MODELING FACTORS CAUSING ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE USING LOGIT, PROBIT, AND GOMPIT LINK FUNCTIONS IN GENERALIZED LINEAR MODEL
This study addresses the ongoing challenge of clarifying the risk factors contributing to Alzheimer's disease, a neurodegenerative condition marked by progressive cognitive decline and memory dysfunction, with cases rising globally. To provide a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of the predictors associated with the disease, this research models the contributing factors using logit, probit, and gompit link functions within the Generalized Linear Model (GLM). Utilizing secondary data from 2024, which includes predictor variables such as age, family history, head injury, hypertension, memory complaints, and behavioral disturbances, this research models the relationship between these variables and Alzheimer's diagnosis. The analysis finds that the logit, probit, and gompit link functions yield significant results in identifying risk factors associated with Alzheimer's diagnosis, particularly memory complaints and behavioral disturbances. The gompit link is selected as the best model due to its highest deviance R-squared value of 30.01%, indicating better reliability in predicting Alzheimer's diagnosis than other models. This GLM approach provides insights to support early prevention and intervention efforts for Alzheimer's disease and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 3 on good health and well-being
