Factors that limit access to higher education
The research focused on identifying the factors that hinder access to higher education for graduates of the Educational Unit Eugenio Espejo, located in the San Sebastián parish, Pichincha canton, Manabí province, during the 2022-2023 period. Through surveys administered to students and teachers, and an interview with the principal, the main limitations faced by young high school graduates in the transition from secondary to higher education were investigated, a stage considered a crucial point in their academic career. The study classified the limiting factors into socioeconomic, academic, institutional, and personal dimensions, all of which have a direct impact on the development and standard of living of students. Descriptive research was adopted, with a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative), supported by the survey method and the application of a questionnaire as a technique for the analysis and interpretation of the information. The results show that high school graduates' aspirations for higher education are restricted primarily by adverse socioeconomic conditions, the complexity of admissions tests (such as the ENES), which create unequal opportunities for students from working-class backgrounds, and limited knowledge about the application process
The influence of listening to songs in English on the improvement of pronunciation skills of high school students
This research aims to determine how incorporating English songs into classroom instruction can improve the pronunciation skills of high school students in Santo Domingo de Los Tsáchilas. The participants were 40 high school students divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The study encompassed ten English lessons in which the experimental group worked with a task-based program that included English songs, while the control group received standard instruction with varied tasks; both groups focused on improving pronunciation. To collect data, a Likert scale questionnaire with ten items was administered to identify students' preferences regarding music and their attitudes toward listening to music in class. Additionally, pre- and post-tests were conducted to evaluate the students' pronunciation before and after the intervention. Interviews with English teachers were conducted to understand their perspectives on the use of English songs in the classroom and its potential impact on pronunciation. The findings indicate significant improvements in the pronunciation skills of the students in the experimental group compared to those in the control group, highlighting the effectiveness of using English songs as a pedagogical tool. The implications of these results for teaching practices are discussed in conclusion

The role of customer satisfaction in mediating the influence of perceived value and trust on reuse intention: A study of ShopeeFood service users in Denpasar City
Reuse intention is defined as a consumer's willingness to continue using a service after the initial experience. This study addresses the issue of declining reuse intention among ShopeeFood users in Denpasar. The main objective is to examine the mediating role of customer satisfaction in the relationship between perceived value and trust toward reuse intention. Drawing upon the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Commitment-Trust Theory (CTT), this study employed purposive sampling to collect data from 160 ShopeeFood users. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed SEM-PLS approach. The results reveal that perceived value significantly and positively affects reuse intention. Trust has a significant positive impact on both customer satisfaction and reuse intention. Furthermore, customer satisfaction is found to significantly influence reuse intention. The mediation test indicates that customer satisfaction partially and significantly mediates the relationship between perceived value and trust toward reuse intention. These findings contribute to the theoretical development of TAM and CTT in the context of digital service reuse behavior. Practically, the results offer valuable input for companies to enhance customer loyalty. By improving perceived value and fostering trust, businesses can increase customer satisfaction, which ultimately drives reuse behavior in digital platforms such as ShopeeFood
The mediating role of brand image in the influence of influencer credibility and E-WoM on repurchase intention of skincare products in Denpasar City
The increasing awareness among women regarding the importance of appearance and self-image, especially in the professional world, has driven the use of skincare products as part of personal branding and professionalism strategies. This study aims to examine the influence of influencer credibility and e-WOM on repurchase intention of skincare products, both directly and through the mediation of brand image. It also seeks to identify differences in repurchase intention between the two skincare brands. As the population is considered infinite, sampling was conducted using a non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique. A total of 150 respondents were selected based on specific criteria. T The results show that influencer credibility has no significant effect on repurchase intention or brand image. Meanwhile, e-WOM has a positive and significant effect on both variables. Brand image plays a crucial role in increasing repurchase intention and partially mediates the relationship between e-WOM and repurchase intention, but does not mediate the relationship between influencer credibility and repurchase intention. There is no significant difference in repurchase intention between Wardah and Skintific users. These findings highlight the important role of consumer reviews in shaping perception and repurchase intention in the skincare industry
Enforcement of justice in minor crimes for the establishment of law and order in Indonesia
Since crime was known in society, criminal law experts from ancient times initially considered punishment as a means of treatment (remedy) to cure perpetrators of criminal acts by giving sanctions that have a deterrent effect, so that criminals no longer repeat their actions, including for minor criminal cases. The research was conducted using the Normative Juridical research method with literature studies, with the formulation of the problem to be raised, namely (1) How is the Law Enforcement of Minor Criminal Offenses Based on Restorative Justice in Order to Create Order in the Criminal Law and Sentencing System, and a Comparison of the Legal Basis in Indonesia with the United States and Singapore? and (2) What is the Ideal Concept of Law Enforcement of Minor Criminal Offenses Based on Restorative Justice Based on Progressive Legal Theory that is Expected in the Future (Ius Constituendum)?, and it is concluded, Firstly that the enforcement of minor criminal law with Restorative Justice in order to create order in the Criminal Law and Punishment System in Indonesia still has dualism in its law enforcement by law enforcers,,,
Influence of motivation on academic learning in high school students
Motivation is of utmost importance for students' academic learning because it constitutes the starting point for learning, creates the drive to act, and makes the acquisition of significant knowledge possible. The research aimed to analyze how motivation influences the academic learning of high school students at the Dr. Gonzalo Abad Grijalva Educational Unit in Chone. The methodology began with a descriptive study with a mixed approach, linking qualitative and quantitative data obtained during the research process through the application of techniques such as surveys and interviews. The population was represented by 112 high school students and 8 tutor teachers from the Dr. Gonzalo Abad Grijalva Educational Unit. The results indicated that 62.5% of students believe that teaching methodology is one of the reasons they lose motivation when they start school. It was concluded that the main factor influencing high school students' motivation is teaching methodology, as it generates insecurity and fear of subjects. As a result, they don't pay attention or participate in class, don't complete their homework in the classroom or at home, and stop socializing with their classmates and teachers
Evaluation of the impact of lean construction implementation on efficiency and waste management in large-scale infrastructure projects
This study aims to evaluate the impact of Lean Construction implementation on efficiency and waste management in large-scale infrastructure projects through a literature review. Lean Construction, adapted from lean manufacturing principles, offers a systematic strategy to reduce waste, improve collaboration, and optimise workflows. The synthesis of various studies indicates that the application of Lean Construction can improve project time efficiency by up to 25% and reduce costs by 18–30%, primarily through the reduction of waste types such as defects, overproduction, inventory, and waiting. However, implementation on projects with multiple stakeholders still faces challenges such as fragmented coordination, resistance to cultural change, and misalignment of contract systems. Strategic solutions identified include redesigning collaborative contracts, integrated human resource training, and leveraging digital technology for cross-disciplinary data synchronisation. This study recommends the need for synergy between the government, industry, and academia to create a more efficient and sustainable construction ecosystem in Indonesia
Bibliometric Analysis: Rewards using the Scopus Database
This research explores the role of rewards in improving employee performance and related aspects. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using the Scopus database from 2013 to 2023 to evaluate the effect of rewards on performance. The literature review identifies types of rewards, both material (salary, bonus) and non-material (verbal recognition, organizational commitment). The results provide in-depth insight into reward dynamics with practical implications for human capital management and a basis for further research. The focus of article publication on Scopus has fluctuated, with a peak in 2019, a decline in 2020-2021, and a surge in 2022-2023. Research findings include the positive effect of extrinsic rewards on intrinsic motivation, variations in satisfaction relationships to employee rewards and moving intentions, and the positive impact of organizational characteristics on the adoption of open innovation. Journal publication graphs show trends in Scopus, with Compensation And Benefits Review and Human Resource Management International Digest leading the way with 7 articles. Cluster analysis using VOSviewer identified 38 reward-related topics, including "reward system", "reward function", and "performance"
Lexical and stylistic features in the written media: The case of Albania 1960-1990
This paper discusses several lexical and stylistic features that were commonly used in the Albanian press during a period of 30 years (1960-1990) as part of the national ideology and propaganda in communist Albania. This study is based on a large corpus of Albanian newspapers, magazines, and other speeches of the most notable Albanian communist leaders of the time. In recent decades there have been few linguistic studies in Albania that chose to explore the connection between language and totalitarianism. The study of totalitarian language in all its aspects gives us a lot of material to explore the effects of a certain political situation and the ideologization of public discourse on language (especially on the language of the media) and its lexical means. In this work, I focus on the identification of the predominant lexical and stylistic features and finding links between language as a tool of communication and power maintenance and totalitarianism as a political system, to show language abuse and its usage as a tool of propaganda
