Stylistic hallmarks of Obama's (2009) and Al-Maliki's (2006) inaugural addresses
In inaugural addresses, presidents (e.g. Obama and Al-Maliki) intend to convey their intentions and plans and to announce their new political strategies to convince the public to accept and support them. To attain such purposes, they have often recourse to the shrewd selection of linguistic elements and manipulation of rhetorical devices. Thus, this paper aims to investigate the stylistic hallmarks utilized in Obama's and Al-Maliki's Inaugural Addresses, focusing on the roles realized by these hallmarks in delivering the intended messages. Obama's (2009) and Al-Maliki's (2006) Inaugural Addresses have been selected to be the data of the study. For the data analysis, a qualitative method involving the identification of the most prominent stylistic features is followed. The paper concludes that both Obama and Al-Maliki resort to different stylistic features and devices with relatively different degrees. This slight diversity of this use seems to be due to the nature of the two languages and to the different goals sought by the two speakers. Moreover, metaphor, repetition, parallelism, and metonymy are the more dominant devices in Obama's Address than in Al-Malik's. A simile is only observed in Obama's address
History and literature in the Nun’s Priest’s Tale: the return of the repressed
Geoffrey Chaucer’s only direct reference to the consequential Peasants’ Revolt of 1381 is housed in the Nun’s Priest’s Tale as a passing, yet important, allusion to the daunting figure of Jack Straw and his men. The beast-fable’s extratemporal chronotope is indeed traversed by a brief but significantly intrusive fragment of repressed historicity. The paper argues that the discarded historical event of the revolt against the establishment surfaces in the text, not to record the cracks and crevices in the dwindling feudal system, but to participate in the bestialization and grotesquing of the 1381 insurgents and the trivialization of their rising and their cause

On the etymology and development of military terms in Chinese
It is known that the study of the terms remains one of the most relevant areas of modern linguistic researches conducted by Chinese and Uzbek scientists. In this article, the formation and development of terms, particularly those related to military art, has been studied. The emergence and development of military thinking in China was studied on the basis of valuable information provided in “The seven military classics of Ancient China”, written by Ralph D. Sawyer, a well-known U.S. orientalist and military historian. The original Chinese military terms were lexically and genetically analyzed in the texts taken from the wenyan version of Sun-zi’s “Art of war”, included in this collection. The original and modern military terms have been compared, the syllable structure and semantic differences between them have been analyzed. I.D. Klenin’s “Chinese-Russian military and technical dictionary” has been widely used during the study

Restoring the entrepreneurial spirit of automotive engineering students after the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia (an analysis study of job opportunities)
The Covid-19 pandemic has been around for almost two years all over the world. The impact is on human health, but it has been proven to have affected all lines of human activity, especially the economic livelihood sector, including the automatic mechanical engineering workforce in the country. The author believes that this pandemic will end soon, so all affected sectors must continue improving themselves and waking up from all difficulties. For this reason, we have analyzed various automotive engineering employment literature to understand how to encourage and restore entrepreneurs from automatic engineering students so that they can immediately be excited to continue their business in line with the improving business climate after Indonesia enters the new average era. As a result, the majority of experts said that entering the new standard, automatic technicians still made entrepreneurship a spirit of life by innovating new work patterns and returning to the vision and mission of automotive technicians, continuing to use self-protection, mentally prepared for all crises, always creative with circumstances, working enthusiastically, and read any crisis as an opportunity for change. These findings become the core input for the development of future studies
Perception, visibility and invisibility in Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man
This study analyses three essential motifs which are perception, visibility and invisibility and how their relationships determine and legislate the interracial relationships between whites and blacks in Ralph Ellison’s novel, INVISIBLE MAN. Through insightful analysis, this paper aims to show how from a visible status in existence, the perception that white people have about black people transforms this visibility into an invisible status both in human existence and society and namely in the white American society. And also it aims to clear out how this metamorphosis of black people from visibility to invisibility at first based on white people's perception, is principally based and due to their color of skin, and to another “Blackness” of Black people or African-Americans color of skin. Creating a real problem of existence and identity for black people through the question: “do I exist?”, the refusal of such perception and invisibility constructed by racism, stereotypes, prejudices and the concept of white people superiority will oblige black people to struggle for their visibility, their true existence, their identity and recognition by white people as an equal human being
