Analysis of factors affecting motor vehicle tax revenue (South Sumatra Province 2006-2020)
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the effect of changes in investment, consumption, DGFB per capita, inflation on motor vehicle tax revenues in South Sumatra Province. Motor vehicle tax revenues were sampled with the research period 2006-2020. The research used the multiple linear regression method. The results showed that changes in investment, consumption, and inflation did not significantly affect motor vehicle tax revenues in South Sumatra in 2006-2020. Meanwhile, DGFB per capita has a significant positive effect on motor vehicle tax revenues in South Sumatra in 2006-2020

Pragmatic analysis of racial humor in online discourse
Get PDFThe present paper aims to investigate how racial humor is triggered in racial jokes posted online. Racial jokes and the ways it is triggered is an under-researched topic in comparison to the quickly developing literature about other types of racist language. Thus, one of the main problems this thesis attempt to address is English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) users’ potential lack of awareness of the racially sensitive issues and how to deal with them in (online) intercultural communication. The paper analyzes (312) racial jokes, collected from eight different racial Joke accounts on Twitter. After in-depth reading and a systematic coding process of the dataset, three types of racial jokes were distinguished. These are superiority-based triggers, incongruity-based triggers, and blended triggers. These three different types were found to perform two different functions: racial stereotype reinforcement and racial stereotype challenge

Get PDFThe work presents an analysis linked to one of the sustainable energy alternatives that are currently being adopted with success worldwide. Putting the field research method into practice, the results of a study related to an application of technological innovation are shown to reduce the amount of the electricity bill at the JENMER CIA LTDA Service Station, through the introduction of photovoltaic technology connected to the low voltage network of the institution. The results of the study of load and hourly energy consumption of said entity are shown and its methodology is deployed for the technological design of a photovoltaic plant connected to the grid, which can avoid the energy consumption of the conventional grid, reducing the amount of the electricity bill of the institution, at the same time that it is possible to reduce losses, improve the quality of electricity service and reduce COemissions2 into the atmosphere. Get PDFThis research work is conceived as the analysis of the nursing care process in a user with a diagnosis of Acinetobacter baumannii, for the methodology used is descriptive, with a non-experimental qualitative approach, since a study is carried out on the records of the nursing care applied to a polytraumatized patient with a history of a car accident, admitted to the Intensive Care Unit from the operating room, and later diagnosed with infection by Acinetobacter Baumannii, for which a care plan based on NANDA taxonomies was developed, NOC and NIC emphasizing the hemodynamic and respiratory improvement, which allowed the patient to achieve a positive evolution, managing to discharge her to general hospitalization without ventilator support

Get PDFThe Elderly has the risk of falling due to physical weakness resulting in disruption of body balance which can be improved through regular balance exercises to increase the strength of the lower limb muscles. This research aimed at analyzing the effect of before and after gymnastic balance against the risk of falling the elderly at Social Center Meci Angi Bima. The research design that was utilized was a quasi-experimental research design by one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the Paired t-test with a probability value of 95%, ? = 0.05 showed that p = 0.000 (p ?0.05). The result showed that in this study there is a significant effect between balance gymnastics and the risk of falling in the elderly
Loom & barter in the production and trade of hammocks and saddlebags: an ancestral approach
Get PDFThe work is a recovery of ancestral knowledge, whose objective was focused on rescuing the knowledge of the production of hammocks and saddlebags, and its commercialization using barter, just as the aboriginal ancestors of the Manabí territory did. Field research and an interview applied to a connoisseur of ancestral knowledge, a native of the Montecristi canton, were used as a method. The results were the traditional knowledge of the production of hammocks and saddlebags using the spindle and the loom, and the forms of commerce used and transmitted from generation to generation in these rural communities descended from aboriginal cultures. Conclusions were reached such as the importance of recovering the ancestral knowledge of the cultures from which we descend as part of the intercultural wealth and popular customs linked to this territory

The farmers in the motoring village make this the main cash flow for them. Managing seho or aren trees with environmental insight means taking into account the determining factors that exist in the environment to be managed and maintained properly. For example, paying attention to the land that will be used as a place for planting seho trees, paying attention to how to take care of seho trees, and the benefits for humans. Project-based learning and its contribution in virtual education

Students experienced a new way of learning, because of the health emergency; In this period, project-based learning was introduced as a contribution to virtual education, a methodology that was applied in the Sebastián Muñoz Educational Unit of the San Sebastián Parish of the Pichincha canton. The purpose of this work is to carry out an analysis of the contribution that this methodological strategy has had on high school students. The criterion that is intended to show is the marked acceptance that this significant learning has had, through a detailed analysis, starting from the management of the ordinary use platform Microsoft teams with which there is direct communication in the educational community. The qualitative method is proposed based on interpreting the data obtained from the objective set, using a direct survey of students and teachers. It was obtained as a result that the schoolchildren who make use of technological tools are precisely those who have efficient connectivity and that the educators who work the most applying the studied methodology are those who adequately handle the technological elements
