    Systematic Review of Studies Using Utaut and Utaut2 to Explore the Factors Affecting Adoption of Mobile Banking

    Purpose: There is extensive use of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and its extensions by researchers and practitioners in the field of businesses especially in banking sectors to measure the adoption of new and improved technologies like mobile banking, e-commerce and its relevance to the consumer behaviors worldwide and particularly in Pakistan where there is lower literacy rate and higher use of technology. This study is focused on sketching the previous studies in the form of a systematic review to provide the new pathways in mobile banking and also suggests a refined and comprehensive model for further study. Design/Methodology/Approach: The twenty-two (22) papers were included regarding the empirical and theory-based research of UTAUT & Internet Banking whereas twenty-six (26) empirical and theory-based evidence from UTAUT2 & mobile banking adoption. Findings: The most important indicators to look at from previous studies in this theory are: social influence, price value, hedonic motivation, behavioral intention and actual use behavior, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, and performance expectancy. Implications/Originality/Value: It is analyzed from the previous studies that these factors may play a vital role in the adoption of mobile banking and its applications and it is also further suggested that fairer studies are required to find better directions and result

    Information Technology Factors Impacting Educators before and During COVID-19: A Study of Developing Countries

    Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to explore the negative impact of information technology (IT) factors prior to and during COVID-19 from the perspectives of developing country educators, to obtain context to the higher education environment to aid future teaching practices. Design/methodology/approach: The study employs a mixed method approach comprising a questionnaire and interviews with educators situated in two African developing countries from the South African Development Community (SADC). Findings: This paper found that the IT factors that most adversely impacted educators’ delivery of the academic programme, was the student element (students’ internet access, students’ access to IT equipment, students’ proficiency with technology and data costs for students). The IT factors negative impact was mostly also intensified amid the pandemic. Implications/Originality/Value: Far from being just a disruption, the pandemic is an indication of the urgent need to build sustainable higher education institutions to ensure that educators deliver quality academic programmes to all. The research obtained an understanding of IT factors (past and present) that may hinder educators’ orientations towards the future. Bringing to the fore the IT hindrances, educators can act by means of their environment, to enable teaching to continue under all conditions

    Impact of Teachers' Emotional Intelligence in Large Classes

    Purpose: People with emotional intelligence are more cheerful than others because it helps them to understand their feelings and allows them to live more freely and amicably. In this study, teachers' participation in large classrooms in government secondary schools was predicted using emotional intelligence. Design/Methodology/Approach: It is a quantitative strategy that made use of co relational research. In Multan, Pakistan, four tehsils are used to select 300 secondary school teachers using stratified random sampling. The secondary school teachers' responses to a closed-ended questionnaire were employed as the data source. The majority of secondary school instructors were found to have average levels of emotional intelligence and successfully engage students in large classrooms, according to the survey, which indicated that teachers' emotional intelligence levels were average. Findings: Teachers were surveyed regarding to their emotional involvement in large classrooms with the school community, their coworkers, and the students, as well as their level of emotion in interactions with the students and the impact of their emotional involvement on student achievement. It was discovered that teachers had a moderate amount of attachment to the culture of the school, their coworkers, and the students Implications/Originality/Value: Teachers participated actively in the classroom as a result of these traits.  Government should hire more teachers who have high emotional intelligence since it improves their ability to engage the students in class rooms

    Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Bank Profitability: A Comparative Study of Twin Crises in Pakistan

    Purpose: Financial crisis 2007-08 and Covid-19 badly hit the financial stability across the world. How credit risk and liquidity risks reacts during these crisis is a catchy question for researchers and specifically it is important to explore in banking sector. So the study mainly focuses the interactional relationship between credit risk, liquidity risk and profitability, whereas interactional risk is considered as endogenous variable. Methodology: To explore the relationship, banking sector of Pakistan is taken as sample of the study and data set is taken from 2006 to 2021. SUR model is used to analyse the proposed relationship. Findings: In integrated time period a negative Influence of interactional risk is observed with profitability, which depicts as much as high reciprocal risk of credit risk and liquidity risk there will be decrease in the profitability. Reciprocal risk of non-performing loans and advance to deposit ratio influences the profitability negatively. Reciprocal risk influences the profitability positively during financial crisis. After financial crisis interactional risk influences the profitability negatively. During Covid-19 interactional risk is negatively associated with profitability and before Covid-19 interactional risk was found as unrelated. Implications/Originality/Value: It’s important to manage the interactional risk to avoid risk and to get maximum profitability

    Objective: Purpose: This study aims to analyze Digital Business Strategies to Support Sustainable Economic Development. Business digitization that is currently developing includes websites, social media, Office Automation, and other technologies. Collaboration between hardware and software here really supports the running of digital processes. Methodology: The development of a digital business strategy to support sustainable economic development requires strong analysis to determine the position of the level of digital facilities used to support business. On the website, for example, it can be analyzed by applying the WebQual measurement method which uses the support of the IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) method. Results: The results of this study are in the form of strategies for developing business by utilizing technology for business in the digital era, such as social media, mobile applications and websites. Implication: This study presents the perception and importance approach of the user. The user's perception of a good information system is a system where users are satisfied with the quality of the website. This study is very useful for practitioners, business people to support sustainable economic development by analyzing the applied business strategy. This paper provides a valuable reference for business people and society to develop a profitable business

    Factors Affecting Primary School Teacher’s Job Satisfaction an Investigation of Motivating Factors of Teaching Staff in District Dadu

    Purpose: The aim of the study is to evaluate the level of job satisfaction among government primary school teacher in district Dadu. The quantitative method was Applied to carry out this study. Data was gathered via Survey questionnaire based on five-point Likert scale. The population of the study Comprised of government primary school teachers, the 58 schools were chosen for this study from taluka Johi and Dadu of District Dadu. 343 PSTs were selected. Design/Methodology/Approach: Data collection instruments included ‘Teachers’ job satisfaction related questions. Data was analyzed in SPSS software version 25, and the descriptive test and independent T-test were conducted. Findings:, according to the first objective, PSTs are not satisfied with PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES and SALARY, while to achieve the second objective the independent variables were examined through independent sample T-test with gender group and According to the Significant value of 0.006 (<0.05) the job satisfaction varies from Male to Female in terms of Promotional Opportunities and working environment with significant value of 0.013. Implications/Originality/Value: so it was concluded that the primary school teachers are not satisfied with Salary and Promotional Opportunities and satisfied with Fringe Benefits while neutral in terms of Recognition and Administration Support

    Social Media Addiction and Healthy Life Habits: A Comparative Study of New York City - USA and Lahore - Pakistan

    Purpose: Developing comparative analysis between negative and positive health habits among young adults in wake of social media usage among youth in Lahore – Pakistan and New York, USA, is the core objective of this research. Different parameters applied on habits of young adults due to social media usage revealed excessive use of social media was resulting into negative effects on healthy habits of young adults in Pakistan, wherein social media was the least preference in USA. The purpose of the study was achieved to great extent. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study employed in-depth interviews qualitative method to extract detailed opinions about the phenomenon under exploration. In-depth interview technique seemed the most appropriate method for qualitative studies for data collection. Findings: A massive gulf between social media consuming habits of Pakistani and Americans owing to multiple factors was established from this study. With the support of relevant stakeholders including cellular companies, prominent figures of society and Tech icons in USA has chalked out a comprehensive social-structural mechanism for wellbeing of the society at large particularly the young adults wherein the developing nations including Pakistan has least concern about this important component of social wellbeing. Implications/Originality/Value: The US citizens love to enjoy through physical activities i.e., plan weekends and other events and even they avoid using cell phones / social media while dinning collectively at restaurants. In Lahore, however, the youngsters have developed negative social media usage habits which are highly affecting their healthy lifestyle.                                                         &nbsp

    Experiences of Communication Obstacle of International Students of Northeast Normal University China

    Objectives: China now offers top-notch postsecondary education to students worldwide. Similar problems develop every year when hundreds of international students come to China for further education, creating new difficulties. This study looks into the challenges and obstacles international postgraduate students face while spending a full academic year at NENU in Changchun, China. Methodology: A qualitative process was used to choose 86 international students, both male and female. Six foreign students, all nationals of different countries, were recruited from various Northeast Normal University schools. After gathering the data through a thorough process of in-person interviews, a themetic analysis method was applied. Findings: Emerging themes were examined in both the individual interviews and the aggregate for more examination. The findings demonstrated how a number of issues, including the academic barrier, the cultural barrier, and adjustment strategies, affect the lives of recently arrived students. Incorporate issues related to diet, communication, and other psychological factors. Implications: Conversely, these obstacles also spur international students to create problem-solving solutions. They create novel learning strategies to overcome obstacles as they grow into autonomous learners. Time, effort, and a great deal of support from various sources are required for the adjustment and adaptation

    Conceptual Framework of Equity Sensitivity, Training and Promotion on Specialist Doctors Retention in Malaysia: Moderated by Organizational Trust

    Purpose: This paper presents a conceptual framework to ameliorate the retention of specialist doctors in the Ministry of Health (MoH) Malaysia, facilities underpinned by social exchange theory (SET) and equity sensitivity theory. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study establishes the issues of specialist attrition from MoH facilities thru analysis of current reports and developments. Followed by an investigation of past literature to develop relationships and hypothesize based on SET tenets of reciprocity. Findings: The framework establishes relationship and guidance for the development of specialist doctors’ retention in MoH facilities in Malaysia. From the findings of the study, the framework suggests that equity sensitivity, availability of training and opportunities for promotion have a significant impact on employee retention of specialist doctors in Malaysia. Organizational trust acts as a capable moderator of the relationship between availability of training, opportunities for promotion and employee retention in the framework. Implications/Originality/Value: The paper presents a plausible model if validated can provide an invaluable insight in understanding the needs and expectations of specialist doctors’ retention in public hospitals. The framework also addresses the theoretical concerns put forth by previous studies concerning the ambiguities of the broad concepts of SET. Finally, the paper presents the context specific nature of employee retention among a scarcely studied occupation group, i.e., specialist doctors in the Malaysian public sector cultural setting

    Antecedents and Precedents of On-Job Bullying: A Qualitative Approach

    Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the antecedents and precedents of on-job bullying regardless of the gender. Lower the Job stress and on-job bullying, higher the effectiveness and productivity of the employees. Employee engagement has also been identified as a mediator in some studies between on-job bullying and job performance of employees. Somewhere there is a lack of information stating the antecedents and precedents of on-job bullying in a comprehensive manner covering the versatile combination of both manufacturing and service sector. Methodology: This face-to-face interview based qualitative study is conducted on employees of manufacturing firms and banks of Faisalabad and Lahore. Interview Protocol was designed, consisting of four main questions along with multiple probing questions. It has been observed after five interviews that the saturation of data floated among all. The data was thus observed using NVivo 10 software to analyze the data deeply. Multiple techniques like Nodes, Word Tag Clouds, and Word Trees validate the collected data. Findings: This study is vital as it acts as a beacon of light to deprive the concept of this harmful norm of our society. Although this is significant to uproot the belief that women are bullied on job only. This study also provided the general recommendations based upon the suggestions of both the respondents and researcher. Implications: This study paves a path for its audience to identify and mitigate the factors that unbalances their job environment
