Data analysis used for statistical analysis was the Spearman test. Results: Demographic data depicts that most respondents are the average age of 45-60 years (79.2%), and more than half of respondents were men (69.4%). Data on sleep hygiene showed that good was (31.9%) and moderate was (52.8%). Furthermore, the sleep quality of patients with cardiovascular disease is primarily poor (63.9%). Regarding the analysis of the correlation between sleep hygiene and sleep quality in patients with coronary heart disease, it showed that there is a significant relationship with a p-value of 0.000 and a coefficient of 0.793. It means that the two variables have an intense relationship. Conclusion: Sleep hygiene practice is one of the non-pharmacological solutions for patients with cardiovascular diseases who have sleep disturbance problems. Implementing sleep hygiene practices can improve the quality of sleep for patients and optimally improve health
Description of Academic Learning Environment Undergraduate Nursing Study Program Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran
Introduction: A stressful, authoritarian, and lack of collaboration learning environment can reduce students' motivation and interest in learning which ends in learning outcomes that are not optimal. Efforts to improve the quality of the learning environment need to be done by assessing the learning process, teachers, academic achievement, learning atmosphere and social environment. The purpose of this study will be to identify the description of the academic learning environment.Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 271 participating students as a sample using the Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure (DREEM). The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling. The data were analyzed to determine the frequency distribution of the academic learning environment which was then analyzed for each sub-variable.Results: The results of this study show that the academic learning environment score is 133.75/200 (72%), included in more positive than negative category. Based on the sub dimensions, the results of the learning process (33.41/48), teachers (30.98/44), academic achievement (23.39/32), learning atmosphere (29.79/48), and social environment (16 ,17/28). Academic achievement is the sub dimension with the highest rating and social environment is the sub dimension with the lowest score. Conclusions: The assessment of the academic learning environment is included in the more positive than negative category, meaning that the implementation of nursing education has been going well even though there are deficiencies. DREEM will assess the parts that are already positive, need to be improved and need to be repaired
The Relationship between the Degree of Stressors and the Coping Strategies of Older Adult Living in Nursing Home
Introduction: Stress is potentially overwhelming, especially for older adults. Different types of stressors require different coping strategies. This study aimed to find the relationship between the stressors and the coping strategies among the older adults at a nursing home in Yogyakarta, and to develop a stress debriefing program. Methods: This study utilized a quantitative research method with a descriptive correlational-comparative design. To develop the stress debriefing program, the questionnaires about stressors and coping strategies were used as the research instruments. The respondents recruited using purposive sampling with total of 100 older adults. Simple descriptive through to complex analyses and multivariate regression were carried out using SPSS.Results: The results showed that the p-value of the difference between the demographics and the degree of stressors was 0.70; while the p-value of the relationship between the degree of stressors and coping strategies was 0.07. It means that there was no significant relationship between the degree of stressors and the coping strategies of older adults living in nursing home. Conclusions: The results found that there was no significant relationship between the degree of stressors and the coping strategies employed by the respondents. Nurses should be aware of the stressors and help the residents to develop appropriate coping strategies
Effect of Sea Cucumber on Reducing Periwound Maceration and Inflammation-Related Indicators in Patients with Diabetic Foot Ulcers Indonesia
Introduction: Maceration is one of the problems affecting the healing process of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). In complementary therapies, sea cucumber is known to have higher absorbency. However, there are few studies on the reducing of periwound maceration and inflammation-related indicators in DFU.Methods: This was an observational study at a wound care clinic in Indonesia. Thirty-one DFU patients received treatment with sea cucumber were enrolled in the study. As control samples, 35 DFU patients treated with honey were also included. All were new occurrence DFU and had maceration at the baseline. The maceration area and inflammation-relate indicators including TNF-, MMP-2, and MMP were measured on baseline and week 4.Results: There were no significant differences between two groups at the baseline. In the multiple linear regression model, sea cucumber significantly associated with the proportion of maceration reduction than honey at week 4 (β=0.520, p=0.001). There were no significant differences between two groups in levels on TNF-α, MMP-2, and MMP at week 4.Conclusions: Our results demonstrated that sea cucumber might be appropriate for reducing DFU periwound maceration
Exploring Family Understanding of Schizophrenia: A Qualitative Study Among Rural Families in East Java, Indonesia
Introduction: Families who care for schizophrenia patients will experience various challenges, which are influenced by the family's knowledge and understanding of schizophrenia.
