Old slavism in the prose of V. Vynnychenko (on the material of narrative «On the other side»)
No full text(uk) Статтю присвячено розглядові старослов’янізмів у прозових творах В. Винниченка. На базі низки фонетичних, словотвірних, лексичних та семантичних ознак визначено старослов’янізми, ужиті письменником у повісті «На той бік» у номінативній функції, та їхнє місце в системі сучасної української літературної мови. Особливу увагу приділено стилістичному потенціалу старослов’янізмів у творі. Стилістичне навантаження старослов’янізмів у повісті «На той бік» полягає в поглибленні психологічної характеристики персонажів, індивідуалізації їхньої мови, у створенні урочисто-піднесеного чи, навпаки, іронічно-сатиричного звучання. Стилістичного ефекту їдкої іронії, сарказму В. Винниченко досягає за рахунок взаємодії в тексті урочисто-піднесеної старослов’янської лексики з розмовно-побутовою.(en) The article is devoted to old Slavism in the prose of V. Vynnychenko. On the basis of numerous phonetic, derivational, lexical and semantic features there have been defined old Slavisms used by the author in his work «On the Other side». I t has been proved that a considerable part of old Slavisms in the narrative performs the neutral nominative function. Abstract lexis created by the old Slavic models has played a significant role in the writer’s works. High frequency of words with an abstract meaning, one of which’s sources is old Slavic language, is caused not purely by the writer’s intention to develop the lexis of Ukrainian literary language – a congestion of abstract nouns indicates deep phycologism intrinsic to the narrative «On the Other side».
Particular attention is paid to the stylistic potential of old Slavism in the work, majority of which V. Vynnychenko uses to give solemn, sublime color to the speech. Most often this effect can be seen in «On the Other side» in the moments of hero’s admiration by his beloved woman’s bodily beauty or in the moments of adoration of nature, that appears as one of the characters of the narrative. Immersing the reader into the context of revolutionary time with its chaos and impetuous change
of roles, the author contraposes stylistically sublime lexemes of old Slavic origin with negatively connoted units, and creates a contrast characteristics of that time’s events and the characters of the narrative. V. Vynnychenko achieves the stylistic effect of caustic irony and sarcasm combining the solemn old Slavic lexis with common everyday vocabulary in the text.

Ми здійснили аналіз невеликої кількості листування з найближчим оточенням Ігоря Євгеновича, спогадів про нього родичів, друзів, переглянули наявні фотографії з альбомів внуків та правнуків і виділили окремі риси характеру, мало згадувані факти про вченого в частині відношення до мистецтва, колег та студентів.(en) The article is devoted to highlighting issues of I.E. Tamm beyond science. We conducted an analysis of small amounts of correspondence with inner circle Igor Tamm, memories of his relatives, friends, watched a video of albums available grandchildren and great-grandchildren and identified certain traits, few mentioned facts the scientist in the part related to the arts, colleagues and students. Do a little research, which revealed facts unique scientist piano after seeing the notes, rather than by ear, his knowledge of art, history of art, the organization of their colleagues on leisure, especially skiing, humane attitude to provide disinterested aid financial assistance to students, support in their first trials. As a result, it concluded that the uniqueness of a person who has always been free in their thoughts, actions, and this freedom made it possible to reveal the full potential of Tamm.(ru) Статья посвящена вопросам деятельности И.
