【教育活動実践報告】 絵本を用いた多読・翻訳・発表の実践と教育的示唆 -長崎外国語大学の中国語演習授業を事例として-
This study reports on an action research-based classroom practice that integrated picture books into a university-level Chinese language seminar through a sequence of extensive reading, translation, and presentation activities. Approximately 150 Chinese picture books were used, and students engaged in a series of scaffolded tasks, including self-selected extensive reading, keeping reading logs, translating assigned texts, and delivering post-reading presentations. Qualitative analysis of the reading records and semi-structured interviews revealed that students responded positively to the use of picture books, finding them fresh and engaging. Many reported increased motivations as well as exposure to expressive, non-textbook language. At the same time, several instructional challenges were identified, including time allocation, lack of clear guidelines for dictionary use, differences in learners’ proficiency levels, limited opportunities for sharing and interaction, and insufficient support for presentations. These findings reaffirm the pedagogical value of picture books not only in Chinese language education but also in broader foreign language contexts. Furthermore, developing institutional support—such as extensive reading corners in university libraries and school-wide reading programs—can offer learners opportunities to engage with reading materials beyond the classroom, promoting autonomous learning and sustained language exposure.othe

【資料紹介】吉村秋陽 『読我書楼遺稿』の編輯について
The source material for research on Yoshimura Shuyo ( 吉村秋陽1797–1866), a prominent scholar of the Wang Yangming ( 王陽明)school during the late Edo period, is “Reading My ooks Again: Posthumous Writings ” (『読我書楼遺稿』1882). Inoue Tetsujiro ( 井上哲次郎1856–1944) also describes “The Philosophy of the Japanese Wang Yangming School ” (『日本陽明学派之哲学』1900) based on those materials. An examination of the rough draft and manuscript for “Reading My Books Again: Posthumous Writings” indicates that the writings were largely chosen during the editing process after Yoshimura’ s death. The editing highlights the intentions of Ikeda Soan (池田草庵1813–1878), who espoused the thought of Liu Niantai (劉念台1578–1645). This leads to flaws in an accurate understanding of the Wang Yangming scholar Yoshimura, so the source material needs to be re-examined.othe
departmental bulletin pape
