Artificial Intelligence and Well-Being: Voices from Academic Writing Lecturers
This study aims to explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) integration on the professional identity and well-being of lecturers teaching academic writing in higher education. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study involved three lecturers from different institutions in East Java. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that lecturers respond to AI integration adaptively and reflectively. Rather than rejecting the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Grammarly, they selectively incorporate them into their teaching practices to support idea generation and increase task efficiency. However, they also express concerns regarding the authenticity of student writing and the shifting nature of their pedagogical roles. Second, the study also finds that lecturers undergo an ongoing negotiation of their professional identities. They reconceptualize their roles not merely as technical instructors but as facilitators of digital literacy and academic ethics. In doing so, they strive to uphold professional values, despite facing institutional and collegial pressures. Moreover, exposure to AI has an ambivalent effect on lecturers' well-being. While it generates anxiety and social disconnection, it also stimulates renewed motivation and creativity in teaching. This study highlights the importance of institutional support and reflective spaces that enable educators to

MADM Method for Flower Type Selection in Ornamental Plant Watering Based on Microcontroller and Solar Panels
This research aims to develop an automatic watering system based on a microcontroller and solar panels, using the Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) method to determine the type of flower that is suitable for the watering system. Solar panels are used as the main energy source to increase the efficiency and sustainability of the system. The Multi-Attribute Decision Making ( MADM) method with the SAW technique uses the highest ranking calculation. The types of ornamental plants are Bougainvillea, Monstera, Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) and pothos. The highest ranking for the type of flower is the monstera flower with a weight value of 11.95. With this system, ornamental plant owners can more easily determine plants and care for their plants without the need for regular manual watering. In addition, the use of solar panels makes this system more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The owner of the flower shop really welcomed this control system tool because it can save Rp. 36,000 per month for electricity costs for watering ornamental plants because all power can be generated by solar panels, namely 250 Watts per day with a panel size of 120 WP. The total power usage of the ornamental plant watering control system is 35.25 Watts. Solar panels produce less power in the morning, at 9-10 watts, and 96-99 watts in the afternoon. During hot weather, solar panels produce more powe
Designing a Web-Based Digital Financial System for Islamic Boarding Schools with Payment Gateway Integration
Financial management in Islamic boarding schools still faces various fundamental problems, particularly due to dependence on manual recording and simple applications. This management pattern often causes delays in report preparation, increases the potential for recording errors, and reduces transparency. This condition impacts the trust of students' guardians and stakeholders. In addition, the diversity of student guardians, including those from outside the region, further complicates the payment process due to limited access to remote transaction services. This situation highlights the urgency of developing a web-based digital financial system that can effectively integrate modern payment technology and adapt to the needs of Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to design and implement a digital financial system for Islamic boarding schools by integrating the Midtrans payment gateway to improve financial management's efficiency, transparency, and accountability. The method used is a model consisting of three main stages: data collection through observation and interviews with financial managers, system design using use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams, and system testing with internal and external black box testing approaches. The system implementation utilizes the Laravel framework, MySQL database, and web-based interface with Login, Dashboard, student data, payment, and financial reporting features. The results show that the developed System can comprehensively address the financial management needs of Islamic boarding schools. External testing using a Likert scale questionnaire obtained a rating of Good-Very Good with an achievement of up to 86%, thus confirming the feasibility of the system implementation. This System has been proven to facilitate online payments, accelerate the report preparation process, and improve access to information for student guardians. Thus, a web-based digital financial system integrated with a payment gateway can be a strategic solution for enhancing the transparency and accountability of pesantren finances. Further research is recommended to strengthen data security, expand coverage to multiple pesantren, and conduct continuous testing on a broader scal
Transformation of Healthy Islamic Boarding Schools: Dengue Education and Larva Monitoring Website for Students Through Digital Engagement
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a major public health challenge in Indonesia, particularly in densely populated environments such as Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Crowded dormitories, shared sanitation facilities, and numerous water containers create favorable conditions for mosquito breeding, resulting in recurrent dengue cases and low larva-free indices in several pesantren in East Java. This community-based program was implemented to strengthen dengue prevention through the integration of structured health education, simple ovitrap technology, and a digital larva-monitoring website as a digital engagement model for Santri Jumantik. The program employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design conducted over three months (September–November 2025) at a pesantren in Probolinggo, involving 30 students. Interventions included dengue and PHBS education, hands-on training in constructing low-cost ovitraps from recycled materials, and weekly larval surveillance reported through a web-based monitoring system. Data were collected using knowledge questionnaires, ovitrap observations, larva-free index (ABJ) measurements, and website activity logs, and analyzed descriptively and using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ knowledge (Z = –3.996; p < 0.001), with high-level knowledge increasing from 26.7% to 86.7%. Ecological indicators also improved, as the ABJ increased from 72% to 80% and ovitrap positivity declined over time. Digital reporting compliance reached 92%, indicating strong student engagement. This integrated approach effectively strengthened dengue prevention practices and offers a scalable model for transforming pesantren into healthier learning environments
